I've always had problems applying loose powder eyeshadow to my lids. I have a big Set fyrianne Pigments at home and can't use them :( Until the MAC 188 moved into my bathroom: The perfect Brush for me to apply loose pigments and eyeshadows. Also works amazingly well in the crease. I've heared its good for virtually anything, but thats my fav way of using it :) Highly recommended!

Primer/ Corrector -Guerlain - Meteorites Perles Light Diffusing Perfecting Primer

I am usually very suspicious when it goes to primer. I've had a few but didn't notice any change in the way the foundation stayed during the day. I got the Guerlain Meteorites Primer because its super pretty and its very hyped among German Beauty Youtubers. I had to do a bride's makeup this weekend so I thought I give this a try. I bought the Primer 2 weeks before the wedding and tested it on myself. A little bit primer goes a long way. So one pump was enough for my whole face. I applied MAC's Face&Body Foundation and wend to work. I AM BEYOND AMAZED BY THIS PRIMER! Usually I find traces of makeup on my glasses where it touches the nose within 30 minutes. But not so this time! No make-up residue on my glasses even after hours. That's much more than I expected!! Even the blush lasted longer on me! I tried it a second day to work. This time with a drugstore foundation (Bourjois HEALTHY MIX FOUNDATION). Same with this product. So I used it on the bride .. but we used a sampler I got from the Guerlain sales person (Lingere de Peau) and the bride looked flawless the whole day :) I am very amazed by this primer and would repurchase this anytime. Only Con I noticed: For me its nothing I would wear on a daily basis because I got small bumps on my forehead after using it two days in a row. But its perfect to have for THIS special day :)

I can only second what rosecaronline720 wrote: IF YOU ARE BLEACHED/HAVE HIGHLIGHTS, DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT!!! I loved the idea of this product. I do color my hair as I am not a natural blond. Therefore I visit my hairdresser monthly. So I got this spray and thought it would help my lighten my roots. In fact it did ruin parts of my hair. My hairdresser told me the parts I used the spray on are like hair-gum now. Thanks John Frieda for ruining my hair. Not recommend this spray at all. So does my hairdresser.

So disappointed with this product. I really wanted to like it but its only horrible. I got the shade in light and when it oxidizes after 10 minutes its way too dark for me! A BB Cream is supposed to blend, no? I probably would be able to live with that but what really makes it a bad product for me is the fact, that it cakes and you can rub it off really easily after it dried. Big big Fail, L'oreal!! For this price I expected a little bit more than that.

This is handy down the first gel eyeliner brush I could handle and achieve pleasing results with. Because the line it makes is super thin. Plus its really a bargain compared to other brushes. I got three of them by now.

Lotions/ Creams -Nivea - Nivea Soft Moisturizing Creme

This product and all the great reviews speak for themselves. It is super smooth and has a great smell. I love what it does with my skin! Even my parents love this so much more than the regular old school Nivea cream which goes on rather hard. This is the good old nivea cream formula only much much better! Would always buy this again!

Brows -Alima - Blonde

As the previous reviewer states, blonde is one of Alima's Satin Matte Eyeshadows meant for the eyebrows. However I use it on my lids like a normal eyeshadow. And it became my all time HG nude eyeshadow. I really wonder why there are hardly any reviews for this, because its so lovely! It suits my skintone perfectly and it makes blending out darker eyeshadowcolors in the crease super easy. I bought other "nude" eyeshadows over the months .. but I always found myself grabbing for this particular one. After using up the trial size, I ordered the full size. And I guess this will go for a very long time :) Because its super pigmented and I don't need much to cover my lids.

Really a good quality for only 1 USD .. I love love love using this with my MAC paint pots .. it does a good job for those. I will sure buy a backup for this brush too. Its very easy to clean too and stays in shape after washing. Thumbs up!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Paint Pot in Painterly

At first I really struggled buying this because the price is really high for such a small pot. But I took my chances and now I am a believer! I am sooo glad I bought this pain pot! I got those small blueish veins on my eyelids .. I really hate those. I always tried to cover them with a nude eyeshadow by Alima (Blonde). It worked for me but it wasn't the best solution. Painterly is for me the best solution to this problem :) It lasts all day long and I really have fun applying it. I found the ELF Eyeshadow brush working best for me for this product. I will sure buy this paintpot again! Also eager to try the other shades now (soft ochre I.E.)

I bought this a while ago after reading all the good reviews here on MUA. I have been very pleased with this product by now but not enough to write a review. Until today! I found myself having a very pale and grayish skin tone in the last few days (stress, not much fresh air, not much sleep .. you name it) ... but I forgot about the Dr. Hauschka Bronze Concentrate at all. Today I saw it sitting on the self and thought I give it a go again. I mixed it with my daycream (only a very small amount) and when I stood in front of the mirror today at work I was really amazed how healthy my facial skin tone was looking again today. At first I didn't think much of it but then I remembered that I put on the Bronze Concentrate again in the morning. WOW!!! So everyone who says this product is amazing is right. Perfect for those with pale, grayish skin to make it look healthy and glowing again :)

It took me a time to find out how I use this brush best for my own needs but now I LOVE IT! No need to talk about the quality .. it is super soft and has super dense bristles. Really a steal for only 3 Dollars! I already wanted to stock up on those .. but they are always sold out. No wonder! I currently only use it for my finishing powder but I want to use it for my foundation too (thats why I need a second one .. and maybe a third?)

Makeup Brushes -Alima - Kitten Brush 23

I think this brush is pretty good. The bristles are super soft. The brush is not very dense. I can't compare it to other similar brushes because this is my first "skunk" brush. I haven't tried it yet with mineral makeup but I plan on doing so in the next days. Also wanted to add that I don't have any problems at all with this brush concerning shedding or bleeding. I washed the brush out today and no bleeding or shedding at all was visible. The only con for me is that I am not sure atm what I am going to use this brush for .. I hoped it would work for a light application of blush. But not very happy with it. Hope it will work better with mineral MU. UPDATE 10/2012: I put the brush aside for a very long time but now I love using it with my MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in "Center of the Universe" which is a strong/dark coral with golden shimmer. This brush works perfect with it with its sheer application. So I like this brush now :)

My bf and me discovered this scent yesterday at the bodyshop. We both loved it! It has a woodsy/spicy smell .. like the previous reviewers said: very manly! Its this scent on a man which makes my knees weak (in a good way) ... Sure gonna buy this again and again for my sweety!

Ok where to start? I love coconut oil since I started testing it after reading the reviews here on makeupalley. Here is my experience so far: 1) HAIR: I used it several times as a Hair mask. Here is what I did: I put lots of VCO into the lenghts of my towel dry hair, put a shower cap on and went to bed. In the morning I shampooed my hair two times and followed up with conditioner and Apple Cider Vinegar water. This is hands down the best hairmask I ever tried. So much better than any retail hairmask I can think of. Plus: So much cheaper and healthier for the hair!! The hair feels smooth, healthy and strong! And that feeling even stays after washing the hair another time. AMAZING!! Can highly recommend this! 2) Makeup Remover: I use VCO to remove my eye makeup each day. I simply smear it on my eyes and rub rub rub. I remove the excess oil with a wet cottonpad and all the Mascara is gone! No more dirty towels :P My favourite and also cheapest Eyemakeup Remover! 3) Body lotion: Each time after I shower I rub some VCO on my lower legs. My skin there always has been rahter dry and itchy. But since I started capturing the moist with VCO there it is super smooth and healthy :) No more dry itchy flaky skin!! Perfect!! I plan on trying oil pulling with it too since I experienced really good results with other oils in the past. But first I need to get another glas of VCO for consuming only :) I won't take something in the mouth out of my "body&hair"-coconutoil glas :P UPDATE: 10/2011 ... I am on my fifth or sixth glass of VCO now .. Nothing of its amazingness has changed and I will always buy this again for the above mentioned :)

Toners -Unlisted Brand - Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar

UPDATE / 4th October 2010: I made a new bottle now using carekate's receipe and a potent mix of greentea/chamomiletea/marshmallowroot tea instead of distilled water. I also added the EOs Lavender, Ylang Ylang and Lemon :) It smells a lot nicer now and the effect is AMAZING! I can't name another product that makes my skin look evener and feel smoother! So much better than every store-toner by far!!! Thanks carekate!! --------- I've been using carekate's ACV toner receipe (sort by Most Helpful >its the first review) now for over 5 months and I LOVE IT! I am so so glad, I tried this out. I don't even use it every day and it helped my compelxion so much already! My large and acne-prone pores became visibly smaller and healthier! Will always make this again. I want to start drinking ACV on a daily basis now too. Because it has so many positive effects from inside out too. I highly recommend this to anyone!
