is a good concealer. not cakey. good color selection blahblah. BUT HAS ANYONE ELSE NOTICED THAT IT STINKS??? i have redness around my nose and i use this with a 224 blending brush to apply around my nose and it smell horrible!! is not the smell of my brush. so strange...

I've spend at leave over $500 looking for foundations that matched my chinese skin tone. I am NC 20 winter and NC 25 summer. All the foundations I previously owned made me look PINK and ASHY. even the supposed "yellow undertone" ones. I got sick of wasting money on foundations that makes me look worse than me being bare faced!!! So I thought Custom Blend was the answer (even with the high price tag of $90 CND, I thought it was a smart move and totally worth it).....SUCH A BAD IDEA. THESE FOUNDATIONS ARE SUPPOSEDLY NOT RETURNABLE!! I think i got a bad SA, she kept convincing me that the shade is perfect, and it can't get any closer than that. I got home, used it for a few days and it was still too white/pink for me. I went back to the counter and asked her to blend it for me again with more yellow in it. She told me custom blends cannot be adjusted that's why she asked me if the color was ok the first round. I was so upset for spending money again for a foundation I didn't like (ESPECIALLY a CUSTOM BLENDED ONE!! ) so I went to a different counter and told them I would like to return it. I figured they will probably give me a hard time, but keeping this bottle of foundation in my vanity would just make me upset. I told the SA at the new counter I had a allergic reaction to it, and the SA had to get the manager to come and asked me a bunch of questions before actually returning it for me. But I'm so relieved that they did. Honestly, I don't try to give SA's a hard time, but from a "custom blended" foundation at this price, I expect nothing less than perfect. And I was willing to go back and have it adjusted but the lack of customer care is just very upsetting.) Ladies please be extra sure the color is perfect for you before you purchase, they will give you lots of hassle on adjustments and returns. Too bad....I was really excited for this one and was planning to stock up a few more bottles before it closes down in January...bummer.

Liquid -MAC - Mineralize Satinfinish SPF 15 Foundation [DISCONTINUED]

I have given up on MAC foundations completely. They just suck. I have tried 3, hyper real.... who wants a sparkly face?? face and body... bad color match and oxidizes on me....and satin finish.... sooo yellowww....even for my asian skin tone, and empasizes all ur pores on ur face, also dosen't cover blemises well. MAC is great for other makeups and I adore their shadows, brushes, blushes....etc. But they're not so great in the foundation department. The color payoff is either too yellow or too pink. I use their foundations when I go grocery shopping and don't give a crap about how I look....actually to think about it, I'll prob look better without any of their foundation on at all... WHY WHY WHYYYY didn't I return them....lesson learned..

Misc Beauty Tools -E.L.F. - Mechanical Eyelash Curler

I had high hopes for this one because although I love my shu emura lash curler, I do believe cheap lash curlers sometimes work better than expensive ones. BUT THIS AS NOT THE CASE. I need to push down so hard each time i do a curl, and the metal frame that goes around the eye lid is not curved enough to get all the lashes. Also curler I got was bent and the two things that press together didn't even meet. I might have just gotten a bad one, but I will not be buying again to find out.

Blush -E.L.F. - Studio Blush Peachy Keen

This product is ok, pretty in the pan but dosen't really show up on my NC25 skin tone. I did find out that peachy keen is the right top corner of E.L.F warm bronzer color. I hve the warm bronzer so I could have just swipped my blush brush on the right top color itself rather than buying this blush. I was using both the bronzer and peachy keen this morning and realized the top right color in the bronzer is identical to peachy keen. Owell, at least it was cheap.

This brush is great for liquid foundation. Dense enough to blend it well through the face. I love this with my MAC face and body foundation. I already have two and would def buy again.

Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. - Studio Kabuki Face Brush

This brush like everyone else said is very very soft. However, when using it is not very dense, and the size is the biggest kabuki I have ever seen. I like this brush for its softness however is not dense enough to give me good coverage on my mineral powders, and too large for bronzer. Is a wonderful brush but I'm not sure wht to use it for... I wish they make a smaller version of this that's more dense. But im not complaining I did get this for $2.50 on their 50% studio brush sale. worth trying out.

Masks -LUSH - BB Seaweed Face Mask

My new HG!!! I love this mask. I use it out of the fridge after a nice long bath or shower. I never have any problem with seaweed pieces falling off while drying or even when dried. After 5 minutes, it looks like I only have pieces of scrub and seaweed left over on my face, the greenish color paste is gone or soaked up? After washing with warm water, it cleaned out all the pores around my nose, evened out my skin tone, and I look completely refreshed. Having this on is also such a treat, it smells great on, and so soothing. I would buy this product over and over again. I'm not sure how many times ur suppose to use a week, but I use it twice a week so it won't go bad before the expiration date. However if I could, I would use this everyday just for the calming feeling it gives me. LOVE IT!

Gels/Soaps -LUSH - Honey I Washed the Kids soap

I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS!!! :D The smell makes me sooo happy. I can't wait to shower everyday just to smell this. It also lathers on very well, the top layer of this soap kind of acts like an exfoliator. I can't get over how pretty this smells, is not overwhelming, but just sweet and subtle enough. This also makes my washroom smell AMAZINGGGG, like I lit some scented oils. The smell also stays on ur body after u shower, not too much but just a subtle scent. It leaves the skin squeeky clean, abit drying the first use, but if u moisterize after ur skin becomes so soft. I will be repurchasing this over and over and over again. It is abit pricey compared to the other soaps at LUSH, but is definitely worth it. I sometimes wear this wit my MAC honey perfume from the honey collection. I love honey scentsssss :D

I am a nude lip product JUNKIEEEE!! I own about a million and a half nude lip products, and I do like this one alot. I have repurchased about 5 of these, and still no complaint on the product itself. The only thing I dislike about this product is that is a bit pricy, and since I go through so many of these the left over glass jar has to be thrown away. That aside, the color is great, not too ashy, not too dead looking. I love the pale pink in this and it goes with any kind of eye makeup. When I can't choose which lip product to wear I go for this one. It lasts very good for a lip product, and even when it fades or wipes off there's still a hint of color on ur lips. All my other nude lip products, if a lipstick I have to pair with a gloss and vice versa, but with this one, is 2 in 1!! Therefore, if I travel, carrying a clutch...etc I will just bring this with me and have happy lips all day.

Lipstick -MAC - Cremesheen - Creme d'Nude

I do like this lipstick, the shade is the perfect nude, not too much on the pink. However, is too soft and melts extremely easily. After a week, there is no longer shape to the lipstick, it melted is just mushed up in the tube. Since it is so soft, I suggest concealing ur lips before applying, this way the color stays on longer and ur pigmented lips won't show through. Also, put just enough, if u rub it on over and over it comes off easily. Though it is a good nude shade, the consistency of the lipstick makes me not want to repurchase. I would prefer a nude lipstick on more of a dryer side, so it stays on, especially on nights out, when used with a smokey eye, not having to reapply a thousand times, as it just easily rubs off on drink glasses.

What is all the rave about this product I do not know. It does not work for me as a concealer. Its too dry for me as a concealer, and way too thin to conceal. People say it should be used as a highlighter, but there are way cheaper better high lighters out there in the market. Why are people willing to pay so much for so little product to be used as a highlighter!? People save ur money, there are so many choices out there u can choose to buy with better effect than this.

This is definitely my HG lipbalm. I lips feel extremely tight and dry without anything on so I've always needed lipbalms. I've tried many many kinds and this is my absolute favorite. It feels sooooo silky smooth on the lips and I love the smell, it was strange at first but I am now in love with it, it soothes me. I have also tried the original one that's abit minty, but I find it not stay on as long as this one, and not as thick. I have around 3 of these because I always need one around. One on the bed stand, one on my desk, and another in my purse. Ohhhh burts bees honey lip balm, what would I do without you I do not know.

Tinted Moisturizer -Laura Mercier - Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20

I wear this everyday instead of foundation. It feels good on the skin, and I like that my natural flush of color on my cheeks shows through. I have tried applying this in various ways, MAC 187, powder brush, but of all I love applying this with the Laura Mercier egg shaped sponge. This product is quite buildable. I use Nude in the winter and Sand in the summer, sometimes mixing the two inbetween seasons. One problem I do have with this product is more of the product sinks into my dry patches, so sometimes I look like I have yellowy patches on my face. But exfoliating regularly takes care of that. Also with the high price tag I wish there were abit more shade selection. I have tried the oil free version with even less shade selection and I did not like it at all, the Nude in oil free version is extremely orange. Overall I do like this product alot, especially during the summer time, since it feels light on the skin, and looks refreshing. I do put a translucent powder over it during winter times, as I prefer a matte look for the winter, also I don't want it to wipe off on my scarfs. This is a high quality product, highly recommanded for younger ladies that dosent need much coverage.

Concealers -Bobbi Brown - Concealer Kit

This is truely my HG concealer. I have previously tried, stila, estee lauder, YSL, and of chinese background, I could not find a concealer of the correct shade, either too ashy or pink. I use the color beige in this BB concealer and the match is PERFECT, yellow undertone without the slightest hint of ashyness or pink. Its also very creamy and never drying, dryness was the problem I had with the YSL concealer, I could see little flakeyness under my eyes after applying. I use my BB concealer without an corrector, because it looks too cakey on my with both on, and just the one works fine. This also saves me from the redness around and under my nose area. Some concealers, like the stila one looked like it just sat on my problemed spots, it also made my redness around nose look greyish, but the BB concealer actually CONCEALS problemed areas, like an eraser :) I am so happy with this product, Im done wasting money on trying out useless products only to be left dissapointed time after time. I do use the powder from time to time to set the concealer, but I don't use it if Im using powder on the rest of my face, in which case I there's no need. When I do repurchase I will only get the concealer that does not include the powder.
