Moisturizers -Ponds - Dry Skin Cream
annafefifofanna 5/2/2013 8:41:00 PM
I have dry skin and I wanted to try something new in hopes of a lotion that would seriously moisturize my face. It was only about $6 which is half the price of most other drug store face lotions and it had great reviews so I went ahead and purchase it. Initially I liked this product I liked the smell and the thickness made me feel like it really would moisturize. The next day I noticed my skin was softer and shinier. Then sadly the terror occurred! About a week in I broke out TERRIBLY all over my cheeks and chin. I am not prone to pimples and I have never had a break out like this in my entire life granted I am only 19 but still. I have never felt so ashamed of my face before. I stopped using it on my face and only used it around my eyes and my pimples were clearing up a bit. But dumb me didn't want to admit to myself that it was this product causing the acne because i never usually breakout due to a product so I started applying it to my face again. My face is now worse than ever!! My face had been the clearest it's ever been before using this so I am really upset. I know most people appear to be fine but be careful with this product that's all I'm saying. It isn't oil free so maybe I have a bad reaction to the mineral oil in this product. :'( i will continue using it as an eye cream though...

Scrubs -St. Ives - Apricot Scrub
annafefifofanna 4/13/2013 6:37:00 AM
I buy the under $2 equate version of this. It is the same thing save your money. Equate has Ben vamped up their packaging so their just as cute now. I use it as an exfoliater every couple days. I enjoy the smell and clean soft feeling on my skin. I don't think this is necessary for every day usage unless you really need it. I haven't noticed much in getting rid of any of my pimples but It does get rid of dry skin and makes my skin glow. I have dry sensitive skin and I don't find that it's too harsh. Just be gentle and use it occasionally for exfoliating if that is the case for you. I love it and got it for under 2 bucks compared to like 6 or 7 for st Ives. Whoo :)

Highlighters -Physicians Formula - Mineral Glow Pearls- Translucent Pearls
annafefifofanna 3/15/2013 2:11:00 AM
I got this for about $12-13 at Walmart a little pricey but PF is usually a pretty good brand (with crappy packaging though) I can see why people would have trouble seeing this as it is a very subtle natural glow. I have very pale skin and I think this looks very natural on me. Its just a nice soft shine that I apply on my cheekbones, forehead, bridge of nose, and chin. It's not overdone so it doesn't make me look like I am oily. I like it and plan to repurchase although it's a little expensive for drugstore for me.

Foundations -Revlon - Nearly Naked Foundation
annafefifofanna 3/15/2013 1:51:00 AM
I got this product for I think about $9. I have to say I am really upset with Revlon's color options.. I am usually a Revlon go-to-girl but I am very pale and none of their colors seem to ever match. I got ivory in Photo Ready and it's my color.. I got Ivory in Nearly Naked and it's a bit too dark it's almost the same color as Buff in Colorstay Whipped (which for some reason doesn't have ivory anymore!) Anyways very annoying.. But back to this foundation. Like I said it's a little dark for me but hopefully will work out better when I start getting a tan. It does have a more skin-like look and lets your skin shine through more than other foundations. It has a nice dewy finish and nice natural coverage. The staying power on this is one of the worst I've experienced in the Revlon line. This product needs a setting powder. My skin is generally dry but if I don't set it than this product tends to slick off faster. I wouldn't really recommend this for oily skinned girls. The packaging is the worst they did not spend much time designing this. The lid is square and so hard to turn you have to make sure it snaps. The liquid just flows out way too much and is very messy. Plus the bottle is ugly and looks cheap. This product is not the best but it is okay for when I want a little more natural of a look and don't plan on wearing my makeup through a lot or a long period of time. I don't know if I will repurchase I was considering trying "Covergirl Outlast-Stay Fabulous" which seems to have a similar finish as this and see if it's any better. Otherwise I may just stick to my Skin79 BB cream for those more natural days.

BB Cream -Skin79 - Super+ BB Cream Gold Label
annafefifofanna 3/15/2013 1:27:00 AM
I have very light pale skin with slightly olive undertones. I got the Gold label as it said it was better for dry skin. I ordered it off of Amazon for about $16 after shipping and received it within 5 days after my order. The bottle is of course adorable and the product smells faintly like sunscreen. The tint of the product is a little bit gray which I was expecting after researching this product for hours but it also was a little bit too dark for me... Once you apply it, I do find it oxidizes and turns a little more to your skin tone but I just find that the tint of it is still a bit dulling on me. It's also not as moisturizing as I would have liked. The coverage is pretty good you can layer it for better coverage. I like to apply a layer and then dab small amounts in areas that need more coverage. You may still need a concealer if you have dark under eyes or blemishes. I tend to use a concealer under and around my eye just for brightening because like I said the tint is a bit dulling. I do like the finish of this product its very light and makes you look like you are hardly wearing anything. Over all this is a good product just not great for my skin tone.. I may repurchase it later on but when it runs out I plan to try the orange one because I have heard it has a better color for paler skins.

Concealers -Hard Candy - Glamoflauge Concealer
annafefifofanna 3/15/2013 12:47:00 AM
I got this for about $6 at Walmart so one of the cheaper concealers out there. I was really happy that they had a nice shade for me because I am pale skinned. I got the lightest shade which is a little bit light so I thought it would work well under my eyes for brightening. This product is EXTREMELY concentrated. If you go to apply the basic amount that you usually use with concealer you will be covering most of your face..lol. So be very careful how much you squirt out or you will end up wasting some of it or over doing it. I apply a small amount on the back of a clean hand and use my finger or concealer brush to lightly dip into it and apply in small dots on the areas I need, this helps me avoid excess product. For me this product is a little too thick for my liking. I have dry skin and although it comes on smoothly it cakes very easily and seeps into my lines especially under my eyes.. Since I don't have any dark circles I just find this to a bit too much. But it does work well to mask pimples. Speaking of pimples when I first bought this it broke me out around my chin pretty crazily but I continued to use it thinking my skin would adapt and haven't had any more issues.. Still I would say be careful to acne-prone skins. But overall this is a pretty good product I can see why many people would like it.. although I'm not sure that I will be purchasing it again because it's just tooooo thick for me. *Side note: The stick is just terrible. I bought the lightest shade and the color of the stick is very orange and much darker than the actual concealer.. it's almost the shade of my blonde eyebrow pencil. I didn't use it.

Styling Products -Dove - Nourishing Oil Detangler
annafefifofanna 3/15/2013 12:22:00 AM
I love this product it does so many good things for me. I use it both on wet and dry hair and it detangles it wonderfully and adds a beautifully glistening shine to my light blonde hair and makes my hair smell AMAZING. My favorite way to use this is for "the day after" when I stay over somewhere and can't shower I spray this in my hair and it brushes right through and makes it smell soft and clean and look shiny and healthy and ready to style! I have to add my hair is generally dry-normal and I have never had an oily problem--at all. One of my best friends has oily hair and I definitely know this would not work all that well for her to use on her entire head and especially not the day after like I use it. For oilier hair I'd recommend only spraying your ends or using it very lightly. *This product was about $4 after tax at Walmart. *Be careful with the packaging..always make sure the lid is tight because this leaks very easily!

Primer/ Corrector -Hard Candy - Sheer Envy Primer
annafefifofanna 2/21/2013 8:38:00 PM
I really like this primer. It actually feels how a primer is suppose to feel! So many drug store primers I have tried just feel like lotion and seem to do nothing for me at all. This is very smooth and silicone-y. It leaves your face feeling very soft and smooth and is perfect for applying any foundation over top. I can tell the difference in the way my makeup feels when I use this. Instead of being sticky it feels and looks smoother and less dry. I don't notice my makeup staying on any longer.. and I wish it covered my pores like others. Not perfect but good for $6 (at walmart) and its a nice size tube.

Concealers -Palladio - Herbal Liquid Concealer
annafefifofanna 2/15/2013 5:11:00 AM
No. A thousand times no. One of the worst concealers I have ever had. I am now afraid to buy any that even resemble this. It was like 6 or 7 dollars down the drain at Sally's. The color is a little to pink for my pale skin but that's not even getting started. It is terrible to blend. You have to blend hard and quick or else it leaves horrible streaks! Not ideal for under your eye because you can't do it lightly. The coverage is not great at all and only a little will come out out of the bottle. The product itself is dry and hard to work with and not long lasting. It creases and dries and yellows. Just don't buy it, don't lol.

Bronzers -Physicians Formula - Shimmer Strips in Miami Strip / Healthy Glow Bronzer
annafefifofanna 2/15/2013 5:03:00 AM
Pretty colors and very pigmented. Like stated its more of a highlighting bronzer.. I do have to be wary with the dark brown on the bottom. I am pale skinned and that brown is just too dark and hard to blend. But other than that I like it. The packaging is terrible as with all physicians formula. It completely fell apart after having it for a long period of time and then part of my product broke. Also they are a little over priced. But other than that good product!

Blush -Hard Candy - Living Doll
annafefifofanna 2/15/2013 4:55:00 AM
Maybe I had a bad experience.. I did not like this product. I got it in some kind of kit thingy. At first the pigment would NOT come out. I had to rub my brush fairly hard to get any color. It was like there was a layer on top. Then after a while, once I rubbed that layer off (or so it seemed), there was an INSANE amount of pigment. And I had this in a bright pink! It became terrible to work with as the slightest touch of a brush resulted in me looking like a clown. And it was very hard to blend. The colors are nice and Hard Candy is overall a pretty good brand. I just had such a bad experience I will not repurchase any others I had to throw it away it was such a mess.

Eyeliner -Revlon - Colorstay Eyeliner
annafefifofanna 2/15/2013 4:52:00 AM
Got this in cocoa. Great color, nice and smooth and long lasting. It is a bit smudgy but I actually like that about it if you don't want smudgy maybe you should look for a liquid or gel liner. Anyway the color is so nice and goes great with hazel eyes. Only flaw is that there isn't much product, but I don't use that much so I guess it's okay. There are other good products like Rimmel's eyeliners that are basically the same but are a bit cheaper. I got Revlon because I preferred the color. Revlon is one of the more spendy drugstore products but are usually the best quality.

Misc Beauty Tools -E.L.F. - Studio Makeup Mist & Set Spray
annafefifofanna 2/15/2013 4:37:00 AM
This may have once had a smell but there is no smell now. It just smells fresh and basically like nothing at all there's like no scent. I love this and am slightly addicted to it. I had the MAC setting spray first and I was very careful with it because of how expensive it was I didn't want to waste it. I find that this product works THE SAME as the mac. Yes, they do the exact same thing for me. Neither perform miracles but I love that this is only $3 and I can just spray as I please..And believe me I do lol. I probably over do it a bit but I just love the freshness and I am paranoid about my face getting dry. Despite that, I have had it for almost a month and still have half a bottle. Although the MAC had a much better spray bottle and smelled incredible it's not worth paying so much more for the same affects.. I use this to set my foundation and such and it makes it feel fresher and reduce any cakey-ness. I don't find that it makes my makeup last any long but it is a God send when it comes to re-applying your makeup. It lets you apply more without any caky-ness. I don't care for the packaging, the spray bottle is more like a squirt bottle. It doesn't mist nicely on your face like the MAC does.. And it requires more squirts. I have to squirt about 3 squirts to get my entire face. A new bottle would be amazing but hey for $3 I am not going on strike or anything. Will be repurchasing, it's a must have for everyone :)

Blush -Maybelline - Dream Bouncy Blush
annafefifofanna 2/15/2013 4:28:00 AM
I got this in rose petal. Its a pretty, light pink color that is nice for lighter skin tones. Don't get me wrong the color is nice and the pigment is pretty good.. I just don't understand the texture? It's just so weird. It's not really a cream or a powder (I think that's what they were going for..) But I just think the product itself looks cheap and when you use it the product gets all flat and smudged around in the packaging. And it's not really sanitary since I have to use my finger. But I think it will last me quite a while and the color is nice and bright. I don't think I will be repurchasing though it's just too inconvenient and unsanitary and ugly looking lol.

Lipstick -Maybelline - Color Whisper
annafefifofanna 2/15/2013 4:23:00 AM
I have 2 of these: Pink Possibilities (a pretty bright pink) and Rose of Attraction (a light rosy red color) They were about $6 after tax and such. The colors are pretty accurate to the way they look just not quite as bright or as dark as they appear. I Loooooooooveeeeeee these so much! I am a tinted lipbalm kinda girl and these are my kinda lipsticks. For once I feel the commercials are actually accurate. These are really creamy. They are like a lipstick version of a tinted lipbalm and the color choices are beautiful and shiny. They don't dry my lips - at all. These are my babies right now! My friends loved them too and picked up some of their own after trying mine. And I think the packaging is so cute. I want to get more colors, thinking about picking up the lightest pink or one of the darker ones:)
