My friend got this for me about a month ago and so far I love it! It smells really fruity-floral and reminds me of berries a lot. Not exactly sure what kind of berries but I think maybe a mix of blackberries and raspberries...? Anyways the scent is super sweet and flirty and I like to use it for everyday, although I can see how for some it may just be a "going out scent."
Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)

Bought this about half a year ago (I know I know I'm really late lol) and have found myself using almost daily. I have combination skin which tends to be drier in the winter but my eyelids are a whole different story. During the seasons they just go from extremely oily in the summer to still-pretty-freaking-oily in the winter. So basically, I can't really wear eyeshadow in the summer if I am going to be outside a lot. Buying the UDPP has helped with creasing of my eyeshadow but I still can't say that I am completely safe in temperatures above 18 degrees celsius. I use this daily on my lids as well as a bit for under my eyes to help my conealer stay better. It has definetly helped with creasing, but I wouldn't say that it is absolutely perfect. Overall, I would reccommend this to anyone but if your eyelids are super oily don't expect this to completely fix them but it will definetely help.
Overall it is a great brush which you can use for many eyelooks when you are trying to build up colour intensity. However, in the morning I am always very limited to how long I can spend on my makeup which means that I tend to reach for brushes that will get my eyemakeup done fast, which, unfourtunately, does not include this brush. Don't get me wrong, it is a very good quality brush and does its job well, but I like to leave it for days when I have some extra time to get done up. That being said I would reccommend this brush, but don't think that it is an absolute necessity.
Polishes -Essie - Turquoise & Caicos (Resort 2010)

Really pretty colour although I would say For Audrey by Chinaglaze is a lot closer to the Tiffany blue that everyone adores. This one is more green than it should be. However, despite the adorable colour the formula is leaning towards the terrible for me. It is just soo watery! I'm prety sure that you need AT LEAST 3 coats to get it even remotely opaque. And maybe I have spoiled myself by spending too much time with my OPIs, but the brush is terrible! It's just thin, and long and flimsy and makes the formula even more difficult to work with. Overall, I think it is a pretty colour but the brush and formula require lots of time and patience which I don't have.
I've been lookingfor a dry shampoo for a long longtime since my hair gets greasy really fast and I don't always like washing my hair everyday since it is very damaging and is also quite time consuming. I first bought this in the scent "Diva" and have gone through a few cans of that, and have also tried the Original scent. It is quite easy to use and gives my hair some volume and makes it look fresher. Just make sure to spray from about half and arm's lengths away and do it in a "misting" motion while picking up strands of hair (you want to spray under your hair) and avoiding spraying too much on one spot. Overall, this is a must have whether your hair gets greasy quickly or you are always short on time, or both in my case. :)
I bought this (in the black) because I am currently experimenting with winged liner and I'm just trying to find a good eyeliner that won't smudge on me. What I love about this liner is that the colour is so so rich! If there was a scale were a 1 was smudged yucky black and 10 was super bright vivid black this would be an 11!! It also stays on super well, which is a pro and a con because it also makes it hard to remove and makes my lashes clump together if it gets on them. The formula is probably the biggest con because it is so thick and tricky to work with. The brush is also not the greatest: too long and thick ad the product piles up all weird on it. I do like to use either a different nliner or a dark shadow to line my eyes first then go with this over top because mistakes will take forever to clean up! So overall, even though it is definetly not a breeze to use, the effect of this is really great (especially for the price!) and I will continue to use this but only on special ocassions when I have more time for my makeup.
Lip Treatments -Soap and Glory - Sexy Motherpucker Lip Gloss

I've been eyeing this for a while but the drugstore that I go to hasn't had the clear version for the longest time. I was soo excited to buy this!! First off I'm completely a gloss girl especially when my lips get more chapped in the colder months. And just how adorable is the name?? The formula is quite thick but I don't mind because it doesn't stay sticky and lasts a pretty long time. I also like that the tingly feeling that lip plumpers are known for isn't too overwhelming but is still present. The packaging is adequate & I wish it was just as cute as the box that it came in. It also has a lovely smell (kind os smells like cocoa/vanilla to me..?) which I love.
Foundations -Cover Girl - Natureluxe Liquid Silk Foundation
anna0banana 12/5/2011 11:08:00 PM
I'm not a huge fan of foundation since I have combination skin with an oily t-zone and some occasional dry patches, but I gave this a chance anyways. I am so glad I gave into the advertising because this stuff does wonders!! It evens out my skin tone, doesn't look or feel heavy and I barely need concealer when I have some blemishes. It might be just me but I think this stuff is inbetween foundation and tinted moisturizer. But just a warning this foundation is not oil free!!! It does not claim to be oil free so don't be surprised if it does break you out; although I have not gotten any major breakouts in the three months that I have used this and I do have acne-prone skin. This is also kind of pricey for drugstore at least where I live, but I think I will keep rebuying until I find something better.
Fragrances -Giorgio Armani - Acqua di Gio (for women)
anna0banana 11/30/2011 12:10:00 AM
This stuff smells so so good!! The scent is super fresh but still kind of flirty and sophisticated and it lasts a super long time!! The bottle is really pretty but it could be improved since the lid feels kind of flimsy. This is one of very few perfumes that I will keep rebuying!
Love love love!!! This colour is super gorgeous and the formula is a breeze to work with, making it one of my most worn cold weather colours!! When I was looking for a shimmery red at the store I immidiately looked to this and "An Affair in Red Square". This looked darker, more vampy and more sophisticated. This is definetly one of my all time OPI favourites and stands in second place after Russian Navy! :))
This mascara is just okay for me. I wouldn't say it's terrible but it's not really great either. It did curl my lashes pretty well but gave no volume. This would be pretty good if you first use a different mascara and then do a few strokes with this, before the first mascara dries, to get some more curl. This mascara also smudged kind of quickly for me and I can't handle waterproof mascaras so this was also a drawback.
Gorgeous colour!!! It is a coppery-bronzey-peachy-corally-gold. :) This is great for everyday makeup for people that still like to have neutral makeup but to make it a little less boring. I also blend a soft dark-brown into my crease with this. This will also work great for the evening if you added some darker colours (to the crease and as liner). Awesome product!!
This brush is amazing!!!! It is super soft and dense and perfect for powder, but can also be used with blush, bronzer, and even foundation. And for 3 dollars? Amazing deal!!
Really great polish!! Beautiful colour and great consistency. I do prefer this on my toes since I think it's a little too "frosty" for my fingers. (No, I don't mean shimmery. I LOVE shimmery nail polishes. I'm not sure how to describe it any other way, and I have ran into this problem with another polish before. I just feel that it doesn't look as good on my fingers as it does on my toes.)
Super fun colour!! I love the name and it looks gorgeous in the bottle. I have been loving glitter for the past three months so I just had to get this! As many have already mentioned, it is too sheer. This does make the polish less practical but does not by any means make it unusable. And yes, I did try to get it opaque but gave up at 4 coats. I will be using this over other polishes and experimenting with it lots. Overall, I wouldn't say it's a "must-have" nail polish but it is nice to have.
