Eyeliner -Inglot - Eyeliner Gel
anisha12 8/29/2012 12:00:00 PM
I don't know why so many ppl hate this product! I like it a lot! And being indian, I've tried all eyeliners on the market! ;) 1. Its sooo creamy 2. Its the blackest black 3. It doesn't dry out if u're careful with it! close the lid as soon as u're done using it and place it cap facing downwards always. 4. It has amazing lasting power on both upper lash line and waterline! The inglot salesperson told me it may not be suitable for the waterline of contact lens wearers but its perfectly fine with me and my contacts! 5. The case is unbreakable (plasticky) 6. My only prob: excess of the gel tends to flake once it dries around the eyes....and can get into ur eyes and irritate them for a while... All in all, I lurve this over MAC and Maybelline for its better quality and over Bobbi Brown for its reasonable price!

Hair -Unlisted Brand - Lakme - Jewel Sindoor
anisha12 5/22/2012 2:57:00 AM
Haha! Very interesting to see this product listed under 'Hair'! We all know Sindoor is available all over the place for INR 5 or INR 10 for tiny little containers but besides the fact that u end up dropping half of the powder on your nose and messing up your nails and fingers, they even have harmful ingredients like mercury and lead that could cause pigmentation and what not. I love this product cuz of its ease of application...u don't end up ruining ur makeup..I've been using this since I got married and even got my mother hooked onto it! She loves how it stays put all day when regular sindoors jus wear off in a few hours, especially is hot climates. When I apply this, it stays on till my next hair wash! Its THAT good! Love the little shimmers in the sindoor too...makes it special ;)

Eyeliner -Unlisted Brand - Lakme - Absolute Kohl Ultimate
anisha12 5/22/2012 2:50:00 AM
Nice deep dark black kohl; just like all the other Lakme kajals. The pencil form just makes it more generic and blah. The smudger and sharpener attached to it are just there to make it sell (for some reason)...Not really what I would call good value for money so will not be repurchasing.

Eyeliner -Unlisted Brand - Lakme - Black Satin Kajal
anisha12 5/22/2012 2:45:00 AM
I love Lakme Kajals! Compared to all the other twist-up kajals available in the Indian market, these stay on much longer despite t occasional struggle to sharpen the pencil! But you lose very little product and one pencil itself lasts for about a year with daily use! Totally worth the money. I like this new Black Satin Kajal as much as the old one...the packaging is better and the kohl stays on for about 4 hours without smudging...and then there's a little smudging that doesn't really give u racoon eyes so I'm ok with that! Perfect black kajal for every eye on the planet! I love Maybelline's colossal kajal cuz it stays on longer, but Lakme is definitely more economical and easier to apply as the wand is nice and thick!

Eyeliner -Maybelline - Colossal Kajal
anisha12 5/20/2012 8:36:00 AM
I bought this 15cm long yellow gem after reading all its awesome reviews in a magazine! It comes in nice bright yellow packaging which is easy to find on a messy table or in your bag. Very hygienic, twist-up stick of dark black kajal. Not messy at all. Applies really smooth on both the waterline and the upper lash line. I LOVE its staying power. Its better than any other kajal I've tried...including Lakme. This was the kohl I'd been waiting for! I bought myself a few backups already...at Rs.150, its a STEAL! :D

Treatments -Clinique - Turnaround Concentrate Radiance Renewer
anisha12 4/23/2012 3:46:00 PM
Clinique sez: 'Fast acting exfoliating serum instantly creates a luminous-from-within radiance. Reveals skin's finest texture, too. Works to optimise natural cell turnover, gently, continually, unveiling skin that looks brighter, healthier, more uniform.' I was on the lookout for an oil-free moisturizer and stumbled upon this! I have very acne-prone sensitive skin and practically every cosmetic I apply on my face makes me break out. I've started screening every product on www.cosdna.com just to prevent breakouts and its been pretty accurate so far! This product contains safe non-comedogenic ingredients which don't irritate my skin at all. Over the last month, I can truly feel my skin getting smoother, clearer, with less hyperpigmentation. It goes on lyk silk on my skin and instantly feels so soft and smooth. The pump is perfect so you can control the amount you want it to discharge. Sorry about the long review but my skin finally looks the best it ever has over the last decade so just feel the need to share! Since I'm using this, I can actually go out with no foundation on! My skin is starting to look THAT good! (knocks wood) Will definitely repurchase despite the price cuz a little goes a long way!

Masks -Clinique - Turnaround Instant Facial
anisha12 4/20/2012 2:07:00 PM
I used to have a lot of acne all over my cheeks and forehead till I sorted it all out with Clinique products and a medicated soap. Of all the things I used, this little microdermabrasion dupe feels lyk its doing the most! It smoothens out my skin, reduces the appearance of my pores (they r'nt too big anyway)...and to top it off, gives me that dewy look with all the subtle micro shimmer in it! Its a little harsh to use around the delicate eye area but everywhere els, its a dream. Helps fade acne scars, decrease pigmentation overall and u feel lyk ur skin is renewed. Love this and am on my second tube right now! Tried the Boots dermabrasion kit...wasn't nearly as luxurious as this one. This is worth my money.

Eye Shadow -Shiseido - Hydro-Powder Eye Shadow H8
anisha12 3/16/2012 2:01:00 PM
Light pink, satin finish, smooth, creamy and soft as ever, buildable colour, doesn't crease if u apply a thin layer on your lids, NOT a base (powder eyeshadows will crease if u apply them over this) and expensive (though i got it while it was on sale. Its lid is lopsided so u can't stack it upside down but that's fine cuz it duznt dry out at all. I almost feel like it hydrates my lids while i have it on. Makes my eyes feel cool for some reason, soon after application...a plus?

Eye Shadow -MAC - Paint Pot in Indianwood
anisha12 3/16/2012 1:55:00 PM
Love this! :) Swatched it on my arm...its like a cross between Half-Baked and Smog from the UD Naked Palette. Its a bronze eyeshadow base which makes all the other eyeshadows i own escalate to a new bronze-goddess dimension! When the light hits it, its a shiny bronze...when in a shadow it looks lyk a matte brown...just gorgeous! U can wear this on its own too, to make for a lovely bold gold look! I would repurchase if they toned it down even more but that's just me.

Eyes -MAC - Paint Pot in Bare Study
anisha12 3/16/2012 1:48:00 PM
Meh. Its an eyelid base with shimmer...little too frosty and cool-toned for my skin. I got it as an alternative to Painterly which was too chalky on my NC43 tone. Bare Study is a great base for all my eyeshadows! The MAC lady showed me what a huge difference using paintpots made! So many different looks that u can create! Definitely worth buying for once...but I'll be on t lookout for a more nude one for me.

Eye Shadow -Bobbi Brown - Metallic Eyeshadow in Forest
anisha12 2/29/2012 4:27:00 AM
WOW! The most complex colour I own in eyeshadow form! On my NC 43 skin tone this one pulls a dark greenish dark taupe with golden undertones with shimmer! It was love at first swatch! I didn't think it would suit my skin much but when I tried it on, I realised the gold blended in so well to make my eyes look warm and smokey. It feels smooth and silky and is uber pigmented. No fallout so far and with some black gel liner, this makes for a lovely smokey eye! Lasting power is terrific..and all in all, i'm rating this shadow a 5 on 5!

Eye Shadow -Bobbi Brown - Long Wear Cream Shadow in Galaxy
anisha12 2/28/2012 5:07:00 PM
Indian skin tone - bobbi brown honey 5...was looking for a good long-lasting eyeshadow to have a flattering smokey eye for clubbing...this is IT! My lovely BB MUA helped me find this unique sparkly colour...I can barely describe it; taupey, silvery, sparkly (fine glitter with hardly any fall out) which turns to a smokin hot clubbing shadow all over the lid! I didn't think this would work for my brown skin tone...but this colour works for both warm AND cool skin tones...so IMHO, everyone shud give this a try at the store! Description: Velvety-smooth formula that goes on easily - and lasts all day without creasing or smearing. Fragrance free. Safe for contact lens wearers. Ophthalmologist tested. To apply: For a polished, professional look, apply on clean lids with the Cream Shadow Brush. Using short, sweeping brush strokes layer color on lids for desired effect. For a more sheer effect, use fingertips to blend.

Nails -Unlisted Brand - Konad
anisha12 2/24/2012 10:17:00 AM
I'm a professional in my late 20's...I really can't wear nail polish to my work place...I've been on holiday for just a while now and saw this on MUA and decided to watch some YT videos that looked so easy!!! I recently purchased a Konad set and went wild with my 4 plates! lol! my hubby thinks i've lost it! %) But it gives some oomph to my nails and i feel lyk a teenager all over again with funky kewl nailz! :D For people looking to stand out in a crowd or being spoken to by random strangers...lol..this is ONE of the many ways! The set is totally fool-proof for beginners. The colour is good and lasts a week and i don't believe the rep when she says ONLY Konad polishes work for stamping. I'm sure we can use other thick matte polishes too! Will do so soon and post pics! :)

Primer/ Corrector -BeneFit Cosmetics - The Porefessional
anisha12 2/24/2012 3:21:00 AM
Silky smooth slightly tinted gel is what it looks like...I tried this out just cuz of the exclusivity of its function - the 'Pore' fix! It goes on sooo smooth and totally evens out all the pores on my face to perfection! Its absolutely lovely, I even got my friends to try it and I think I got enough sales for Sephora to get some commision! B) Trust me on this, girls AND boys, NO foundation will cover up your pores lyk this gem! It hasn't broken me out despite me having uber sensitive skin...and it keeps my skin matte all day...loving this! I no longer need to use foundation! Foundations just accentuate my pores anyway. *EDIT*: This was jus a cover and not a treatment so I moved onto Clinique turnaround serums which are doing my skin a lot of good for the money. I will not be repurchasing this, also because it doesn't last more than an hour on my skin!
