I received this in a Maven box and was a little unsure about it. I finally gave it a try and in the first few minutes I loved it. Then it changed. This has a gel shine finish and I liked it so much I applied more. I thought this was a little like Sally Hansen continuous care polish. I loved the pink shade. Then I started letting it dry. It started to have ridges and lots of bubbles. My nails appear to have little nicks in them and bubbles. The other thing is my nails feel so weak. I understand the other reviews I have seen on some blogs. My nails just feel a little ick and sore. Not impressed.

Cleansers -Josie Maran Cosmetics - Bear Naked Wipes

I got these in a kit and I have to say they are pretty cool. These are much different then most wipes out on the market. These have a fresh scent and the feel of the wipes is soothing and non irritating. The packaging is a little crappy and cheap. I would prefer the plastic was a little thicker and that the seal was a tough plastic, maybe like is on baby wipes. The seal on this is really poor that these dry out pretty quickly. In that case I ran a little water on a wipe to give back some moisture so I could still use it. The wipes do remove all of my makeup and are gentle around the eyes. I would purchase these again.

Concealers -Jane Iredale - Disappear

I got a really large sample of this from my spa that sells Jane Iredale products. I was told this has natural antibiotics and that it does dry quickly, but because it helps heal it is a great product. I found myself so disappointed with this. This did nothing to help calm my acne. I was really counting on that being the girl raved about it so much. My biggest complaint is because of the drying formula. This dries so quickly even if I wet my brush with a makeup setting spray. This will dry before I can even blend it into my skin. The color is off. I had to have two shades mixed together to match my skin. Maybe because it is the formula drying too quickly, but I can never get this to blend into my skin well. Just nothing worth the trouble of this.

Gels/Soaps -Thalgo - Delicate Exfoliating Bar

I got a small sample of this bar and decided to use it as a hand soap. I liked the texture. The bar is creamy and I did not even notice the exfoliating bits. That being said I did not notice after using this any improvement. The scent was so so. It was nothing amazing, but not irritating either. Altogether I did not really find anything I really enjoyed about using this.

I have to agree on several points with several reviewers. I got a generous sized sample of this from Sephora and I was excited. I know this is a popular brand with celebrities. I tried this a few different ways and with all of them I was left disappointed. I tried it like the directions said and I found it to be a pain to wash my hair and then apply it, leave it for roughly 15 minutes and then rinse it out again. I also tried it to just rinsed hair and then showering after. And finally I tried it as just a dry mask on my hair and then shampooing after. In all ways my hair was left drier and more strawlike then it was before the mask. The texture of this mask is so thick that even with the sample pack I had trouble squeezing it out. The scent of this is kind of weird and unpleasant. Would not try again.

Fragrances -Sephora - Hello Kitty eau de parfum

I got a sample of this and I always have thought of Hello Kitty as a teen thing. So I didn't have high hopes for this. This fragrance really surprised me. This is a fresh scent. I do have a hard time describing it though. I just find I like it enough that I used the whole sample and want more! I do not think this is in my type 5 favorites, but it is a great scent. I think the packaging is a little plain and boring and gives no impression that this is a great scent.

BB Cream -Maybelline - Dream Fresh 8-in-1 BB Cream

I figured this would be great for me. It was recently mentioned in a magazine article to be good for those with oily skin. This is so bad for oily skin. Within an hour I had very noticeable shine. And to make things worse this made me break out badly. And I didn't even like it! This did not offer any noticeable coverage or benefit. Waste of money.

BB Cream -Skin79 - Super+ BB Cream Pink Label

I have not been a big fan of the BB cream bandwagon, but that could be because I have only tried US versions. This is definitely much better and much different then the US versions. The shade of this looks much too dark, but it sinks right in and somehow manages to match perfectly to my skin tone. The coverage of this is pretty good too. I have acne and lots of breakouts. I do not expect this to cover perfectly so it is expected to still have a lot of show through. The scent of this is nice and not overly plain or overly scented. I am really happy with this and I will definitely be using it more.

Mascara -Bare Escentuals - buxom lash

I have a love hate relationship with this mascara. I got a deluxe sample from Sephora. From first look this mascara has an awesome brush. It is in fact my favorite thing. The mascara itself I haven't been as happy with the mascara is very wet. In some ways that makes it really easy to layer on more coats. In other ways it is harder because it takes a while to dry. For me this layers on really welll giving me long lashes. My biggest problem is the staying power. This tends to flake a ton and leave smudges on my bottom lashline. It smudges even more then normal during the warmer months that I cannot wear this at all during those times. I think if those issues could be fixed this mascara would be one of my favorites.

I got a small sample sized tube of this and had been in love. It gave me the right amount of color and a fresh faced flush. Once I got a full size bottle I found I didn't like this as much. I found it almost looking too pink on me and looked funny on my combination skin cheeks. I am not sure if my current dislike has to do with the time of the year I am using it - winter with cold and dry weather. I hate the packaging. I think it looks funny as a nail polish style bottle and the brush tends to make it hard to get out the right amount of product. I still like this, but I think it works better in the warmer months.

I have tried this many different ways as far as how I apply it, how much and how often and no matter what I have not been fond of this. This did help straighten my hair, but always left me with a heavy feeling even if I applied very little of it. I think this would work on less fine hair.

Lipstick -E.L.F. - Studio Matte Lip Color

I have not been a fan of E.L.F lip products. They tend to leave an icky scent/aftertaste. I tried this in Nearly Nude. It is beautiful in the pencil and looks more high end then it is. It applied nicely although it did tug on my lips a little. It left my lips very matte and I added a gloss on top for shine. Maybe because of my fair skin, but this shade took me into corpse terriority.

Highlighters -Pixi - Lumi Lux Radiance Powder

I have been so estatic about this powder. I saw it mentioned in a magazine and had added it to my shopping list. I got to try it and I have to say this fell really short for me. The powder itself is beautiful with a base of peach and nude bronze and pink flowers embossed over the top. I tried swirling all the colors together and found that overwhelmed my fair skin. Then I tried the peach and pink together and it was too subtle that I had to add another blush on top. I think this is supposed to be more of a highlighter, but for me this was not strong enough to highlight. This is beautiful, but there is nothing else really amazing about it.

I purchased a sample sized packet of this to try before purchasing the big bottle. I applied this before dying and I was impressed with the scent. This made it a little bit more bearable while dying not to have the nasty dye smell. This also seemd to moisturizer my hair a little to absorb the color well. In the long run I am not sure if it made all the difference with my color or not so I will be trying it again before I make a full decision if it is worth it.

I bought a sample size of this to try before jumping into buying the big bottle. I have to say this worked pretty well. I only used it after I dyed so I do not know how it would help in the long term, but I do think it helped. After I was done coloring I did as stated washing with a dab of color treated shampoo and then this. This left my hair smelling amazing and feeling soft and silky. I would have to use it more often before I could decide if it has a lasting effect to purchase the large bottle.
