I finally decided to give this sponge a try since after applying face makeup I found that there's unevenness and caked spots on my face. The makers of the product instructs you to wet the sponge with tap water until it expand and then squeeze out the water. You can either apply the liquid foundation or BB cream (I use Marcelle BB medium to dark as my foundation) on to your face first or on the sponge. The technique is to dab it all over your face as and this effect will leave you with "airbrushed" look. After I've applied my BB cream, it left a dewy feel on my face. I wait a couple of minutes before it sets or dry and then I apply my physician's formula face powder. This just helps with shine control and gives me a matte finish in the end. I purchased this product on amazon.com for $25+ free shipping. It also came with the beauty blender cleanser which was great because I wash my beauty blender after each use. When washing your sponge take extra caution and be gentle when scrubbing because the sponge can easily tear. That's what happened to my sponge =( Overall amazing product and will repurchase.
I purchased this product at my local shoppers drug mart, retails around $22+ tax. It's a bit pricey compared to the other drug store brand BB creams, but I decided to purchase it because it is hypoallergenic and non-commodogenic. I've been skeptical about trying out foundations because of my acne-prone, oily/ combination skin therefore I thought a good step would be an Americanized BB cream. I found this cream to have light to (buildable) medium coverage. I have the medium to dark colour and I use this product in combination with my physician's formula mineralized powder (buff beige). Overall I am satisfied with this product, the only thing is that on areas of my face where I have dry spots from the winter months I would see caking. An easy fix, I just apply my Avene moisturizer. Packaging is awesome! Hygienic and you can easily control the amount of product you want squirted out. If you find that the product is spitting out of the nozzle, just simply store the item in an upright position rather than laying it flat. =)
I bought this product because I saw a couple of YouTube guru using it in their am/pm skin routine. I was very sceptical and was desperate to try anything to help my chapped lips. I liked this product in the beginning, but after 2 weeks I noticed that the scrub was sucking out the moisture out of my lips. Now, I only use the scrub when I absolutely need to. I most likely won't repurchase because I can probably just make it myself.
I was very skeptical about purchasing blushes from benefit because of the price $$$$!!! I purchased it at my local sephora for about $36CAD plus tax. But before I purchased it, I was debating between the tarte in blissful, benefit coralista and the benefit bella bamba. I already have the NARS orgasm, but I felt that for the winter I needed a blush that's less peachy and more pink. I initially purchased the tarte blissful, but I found it to be similar to my nars orgasm (on my skin tone- medium brown) therefore I went back to sephora and the cosmetician recommended benefit bella bamba. The blush is more pink that peach on my skin tone and it has this really nice shimmer. The packaging is easy to use and the product smells good too! I found that it gave me a nice pop of colour during the cold winter months =)
So much has been said about this blush already. It is a high-end blush, which cost me roughly $35CAD. It did make a dent in my wallet and when I first tried it, I thought I had wasted my money. Maybe I was expecting miracles or a transformation of some sort. Over time, maybe after a week or so I began to really love the blush. I've tried looking for other blushes similar, but so far I continue to go back. I have medium toned skin with pink undertone. I also have acne-prone skin so I have to watch out the type of products that I use on my face. Happily to say that this product did not break me out. This is beautiful during the summer and on camera! Even though it is fairly pricey, I use it every day. I would definitely repurchase!
I just purchased this product from Walmart for about $5CAD and tried it last night. I have been very reluctant about purchasing St. Ive's scrub since I've heard that they could be a little abrasive on the skin. I've used other exfoliant from name brands such as Caudeli, Swiss Line, and Guinot, but wanted to try this highly reviewed drug store brand. I have acne-prone skin, but have been controlled by topic meds and birth control pills prescribed my dermatologist. I was afraid that this product was going to irritate and cause more dryness to my skin, but hold and behold it did not! The product had evenly fine granules which did not irritate my skin, it did lather up a little bit and the smell was not to over powering. The green tea apparently is suppose to be good for your skin so that's a ++. For the price, you can't go wrong and if you don't like it on your face, you can always use it on the rest of your body as a body scrub. I will definitely repurchase this in the future oppose to the other high end exfoliant products. They do the same thing for a fraction of the price. Thanks MakeupAlley!
Cleansers -Avene - Cleanance soapless gel cleanser for oily skin

I love this facial cleanser! My dermatologist actually recommended this product to me. I love how I don't have an adverse effects from it, since I do have acne prone skin. Your Skin might feel a little dry or tight if you use this and don't moisturize at night. I don't know why it's called soap less when the product actually lather. Never the less this product made my face feel freshly clean. The packaging is one of the best I've seen so far. You only need to twist and you can control how much product you want to squeeze out since the bottle is translucent. It also doesn't have a strong scent, not like some facial cleansers. I only use this to clean and remove light makeup. The only reason why I did not give the product a 5/5 is because I haven't tried all the products out there to truly find the best one, but rather, would rate it as a 4.8.
I don`t mind this product so much. I like the smell of sunscreen since it always reminds me of summer, that`s why I would re-purchase this and on top of that it`gives you spf 30 for ultra protection. I would agree, you definitely need to put this on first and then apply your favorite lip gloss on top of it. I have no problem with it since it leaves my lips nice and soft. I don`t find it that waxy at all as everyone claims. well that`s just my 2 cents.
Lip Gloss -Maybelline - Shine Seduction [DISCONTINUED]

This is my 3rd time using this product, I don`t know why since I constantly tell myself to find a better with colours that show. I only like it because of the packaging. I hate messy or dirty lip gloss so this is the perfect packaging. The only problem you might have with this product is that, there`s not enough colour, if your buying a colour close to your natural lip colour. It doesn`t last that long either, so you will have to re-apply every 20 mins or so. =( Next time I will definitely try something else, if there`s nothing better out there then I guess I`ll have to settle =(
I`ve been using this product for over 2 years now, when I decided to purchase Cover Girl Lash Blast. I have so much more appreciation for this product now. Not that Lash Blast is not good, it`s just too fat in diameter. It`s suppose to give more volume, but I can also accomplish volume using Lash Exact. I mostly love the packaging and how it brush doesn`t clump right away. I will definitely re-purchase this after I`m done my L.B.
love love this product! I bought mine and it was amazing. It`s such a cute packaging, in which you would think it will not last you even a year....not true! I`ve had this blush for a while and I think it`s to the point that I need to throw it out, even though I still have a quite a bit of it left. I have combination and prone to blemishes around my t-zone area, and I`m always worried about the products I put on. But I don`t have to worry when it comes to this because it`s talc-free (in which suppose to be better). I would definitely buy it again, great bargain for a good quality! =)
Makeup Brushes -Ecotools - Bamboo 5 Pieces Brush Set (Mineral Makeup)
angeljoy86 5/29/2009 1:12:00 AM
I just bought the travel size brushes (or 5 piece brush set) and they are super soft. I`ve never seen a set for so cheap and good quality. absolutely great for traveling, which is why I purchased it. =)
I thought I loved this shampoo, but I think that the only thing that I loved about it is the scent. My hair stylist used it on my hair when she was washing it, and I felt and smelled great. But after a year, when I finally decided to purchase the product (since it`s too pricey for a shampoo) I was sadly mistaken. It didn`t feel all that great. My hair felt harsh and dried out, in which I found very surprising since most people found it light. The other reason why I changed to this shampoo is because the previous shampoo that I was using (L`oreal Vive cost: $4.00CND) was loosing it`s effect. But I recently stopped using sensories calm, I have half a bottle left, and returned back to my old shampoo which feels great. At least way better than Rusk. Excellent Scent and Packaging, but with the price I will probably not purchase it again =(
