I've used many mascaras. I haven't found the perfect one, but this comes close enough that I'm satisfied to not waste anymore money on other mascaras that don't measure up. It doesn't flake off until the very end of the day, and even then it's not that bad and it doesn't get those nasty clumps that most mascaras get after you've been using it a couple of weeks. My only complaints are that it separates the lashes nicely but not perfectly and the brush handle can be awkward to manipulate.
Cleansers -Neutrogena - Cleansing Bar - Acne-Prone Skin Formula

I like this bar, the smell takes some time getting used to though. I don't see a huge difference between the traditional face bar and this one. This bar doesn't have any acne treatment nor does it claim to have it. It seems to control my oily t-zone better than the original bar formula by neutrogena. I like that it doesn't dry out my skin and it's so simple to use, very basic. Which is great for a face wash because there is no point to having vitamins or pimple treating things in a soap that doesn't stay on your face anyway. Plus it's a great price, got it for less than 2 dollars. The first time I bought the face bar it went way too quickly in the shower. I bought a cheap soap saving dish thing, and it works very well, it's rubbery and has pokey things that hold the bar. I keep it out of the stream area of the shower and it works great for keeping the bar from disappearing.
Primer/ Corrector -Bare Escentuals - Bare Vitamins Skin Rever Upper

I like this product alot. I think it's great that it has glycolic and salicylic acids in it, both are known for it's exfoliation, acne treatment and anti-aging benefits, plus the vitamins this product contains has antioxidant benefits, also helps with aging. So it packs a powerful punch. I used to tan regularly stopping at 19 when I noticed my skin looked older than it should and began looking into reversing sun damage. I like using products such as this that has multiple benefits in one product. The smell reminds me of various anti aging treatments, from the vitamins in it. I don't care for it but It fades. I have an oily t-zone, but that is where I need this product the most so I use it only at night time because it does make my face look greasy. I wake up to fresh smooth feeling skin. I have used this under makeup and it didn't work well because like I said for my skin type it is too greasy looking, but love it for night time exfoliation and smoothing.
Cleansers -Olay - Clarifying Daily Facials for Combo/Oily Skin

I got this because I needed to find a new skincare routine. I also got the foaming face wash for sensitive skin to use in the morning. This one I use at night to remove my makeup and cleanse my face. I cut them in half someone had suggested. I use one have to remove my makeup and one half to clean my face. On the days I don't wear makeup I only need one half. I like it, it does a great job of removng my makeup and doesn't irratate my skin at all. Good product.
Cleansers -Olay - Sensitive Skin Foaming Face Wash

My skin has been going through an awful time, all of a sudden my regular face line had started to irritate my skin horribly. My skin got red and flaky, and burned awful. I have sensitve, combo, and acne prone skin. Nothing i've tried was helping. I hesitated on buying this because i always thought it was for older skin. I knew i loved this the first time i used it. It calmed down my skin and felt great. I've been using it for a little over a week and the flakiness and the irritation completely stopped and i haven't had any breakouts. I've also been using the daily facials (for dry skin) at night to remove my makeup. I have 2 complaints though, one is that it has Sodium Laureth sulfate in it which can be harsh to the skin on the face... but, it's among the last ingredients on the bottle so it's not too bad i think. The other is that the bottle is kinda wierd, the pump is really awkward and hard to use in the shower. Even so i think it's an awesome product, and it saved my skin. :) PS: I love that it is 100% soap, oil, dye and fragrance free. ^^
Conditioner -Neutrogena - Triple Moisture daily deep conditioner
angelic_blaze 7/1/2004 8:18:00 PM
I tried this conditioner along with the shampoo recently. I have very short hair now, i had an impulse to go short after having past bra-strap length hair, it's fun to have but i'm in the process of growing it out again. SO i've been looking for a very deep conditioning line. This was okay, i liked that it didn't have the sulfates and had natural ingredients in it and it left my hair feeling soft.... But it's very heavy and it leaves a residue/grease coating on my hair that feels like i didn't rinse it out enough. The smell is funky, kinda earthy-cantaloupe-watermelon smelling, didn't care for that too much, but it washes out some. Overall it's not that great. I will use up what i have and look for something else. :/
I read the awesome reviews on this and decided to buy this the other day. I was so scared because it was very cheap and cheap looking, I was going to buy a very expensive one, but then I gave it and bought it anyway. I am glad I did because it was great. I used it that same night for about 20 mins. and it made my skin feel very soft and tight (a good tight) afterwards. It made my pores look so tiny. I love the smell and the cooling sensation. It was exactlly what I was looking for, it's a great buy, I will continue to buy this again. :)
Loose Powders -Revlon - Skinlights Face Illuminator [DISCONTINUED]

I bought this in the Bare Light 02. I usually hate glittery powders but I thought I'd give this one a try. I'm glad I did because it looked great on my skin. I used a tiny amount and it left a great glow on my skin. A little bit goes a long way with this product. There is a brush that comes with it, the bristle are nice but it is too tiny. It was totally useless. But I loved it and I will buy it again when it runs out, which may not be for a long time. A good buy! :)
I bought this in wet sand and I love it, it only took one coat and looked great and lasted for a about a week without chipping. I love this line as well as the Diamond line. Great nail polishes!
Crème -L'Oreal - Feel Naturale Light Softening One-Step Makeup [DISCONTINUED]
angelic_blaze 2/29/2004 11:11:00 AM
This is a great creme foundation. It made my skin feel and look incredibly soft. The color matched my skin to the T, and I usually have that problem with creme foundations. It gave me a nice matte glow that lasted for a long time. The one thing I would change is the packaging. I would make it in a round tub and with a larger makeup sponge. But I haven't seen one like that yet... It's a great product. I will continue to use this alternating with my liqiud foundation. I will definitely buy this again.
I got this in black. I like it alot. I was using Mary Kay products before and it would take a ton of coats with the MK mascara until it looked good. This one only needed two thin coats. I have used the Maybelline Volum Express, and I found this one to be better IMHO. It made my lashes look tons thicker and it made my lashes feel soft, not hard and crunchy like other mascaras can. The only negative is that it clumps. You will need to use that eyelash seperater tool thing and a tissue to wipe the clumps before using the mascara. All in all, it's a good product. Not perfect, but the best one I've tried. I will buy this again and continue my search for the "one". Edited to fix the rating
I got this in precise black. This is THE best eyeliner I have ever tried. I love it!!! I just bought it the other day and used it twice since. It stays on for ever. It was VERY easy to use, it glided on perfectly. It stayed the whole day and didn't budge at all. The only thing is it is not easy to smudge for the popular smokey eye look, but I used eyeshadow to create this effect and it worked great. Awesome product, so glad I gave in to the great reviews. I will most definitely buy it again. My HG for sure! :)
Blush -Physicians Formula - Pearls of Perfection Blush - Blushing Nude
angelic_blaze 2/29/2004 10:27:00 AM
I bought this the other day in blushing berry, I was afraid it would be too dark so I looked through the stack of the blushing berry's for one that had lighter pearls, (I thought the blushing nude wasn't dark enough for me.) I found one that had more light pearls than the dark ones. I absolutly love it. I was looking for a blush that looked natural powdery but creamy, and this is it, it made my face have a natural glow that I thought was great. I wore it all day yesterday and it didn't fade until later that night. I even rubbed my face with white washcloth, when I first put it on just to see, it didn't even rub off. I love it. It looked like a light pink and I probably would have been alright getting one that had darker pearls in it. When this runs out I am definitely buying it again. This one gets a 5. My HG for sure. Cute packaging, great price, great all around for a drug store product. :)
This is one of the few perfumes I like. I am a body spray girl. I really like sweet and citrus scents alot. As most smells it took me a week to decide if I liked it. I determined I did like it and I continue to wear it now and then. It has a strong citrus smell, that I like alot. You only need a little because it is strong. As someone said in an earlier post it is a smell more suitable for teens and women in their 20's. It is not a "mature" scent. I have used all the products in the velocity line and I love the smell of the face wash and lotion the best. To bad they couldn't completely mimic the smell. But it's still great and I give it a 4.
Fragrances -Bath and Body Works - Sweet Pea Body Spray
angelic_blaze 2/26/2004 4:03:00 PM
I hate wearing perfumes because they can be strong so, I like body sprays alot. This is my all time favorite smell from bath and body works. I love it alot. I'm not sure if it really smells like sweetpeas, but it has a nice floral smell that's not overpowering. I like sweet and citrus smells myself. I am very picky about smells so I usually won't like a new smell. So because of that I gave myself a one week rule, I use a new smell everyday for a week and if I like it great! If not in the trash it goes. So anyway, this one passed the week test and is now my favorite smell, (used to be the freesia line) I have the entire sweetpea line. It's great, I haven't found one I liked better.
