Styling Products -Garnier - Miracle Dry Oil
angelablair 2/28/2013 5:12:00 PM
I received this product via bzzagent and was excited to try it. Garnier describes this as a miracle oil that can be used on your hair, body, and face. It contains olive, avocado, and shea oils which are to provide nourishment leaving your skin soft and hair silky. I gave it a go on my hair dry and damp. Both times my hair looked like it hadn't been washed in weeks. Grease city. I also tried it on my body and it did absorb pretty quickly but I still felt there was a bit of greasy residue left over. I didn't even think about putting it on my face because I only imagined the horrid breakout it would likely cause. If you have super thick and coarse hair, this might work for you...otherwise don't waste your time.

Lotions/ Creams -Neutrogena - Norwegian Formula Hand Cream
angelablair 1/25/2013 3:31:00 PM
I received this hand cream via Bzzagent and was super excited to try. In the winter my hands are always dry and cracked due to weather and constantly washing my hands. Typically I use Cetaphil for my hand cream, so I was happy to try something new. First, I wouldn't call this a hand cream. It is far from a cream. While it is moisturizing it is more gel-like. I would compare it to aquaphor as in texture. The product is $4.99 and you only need a dab to do the job, so price wise is great. When it goes on it's a little greasy feeling but it absorbs pretty quickly and almost leaves a barrier on your hands. You can wash your hands a few times and this stuff doesn't come off. Overall, as a hand cream I'd rather stick with an actual cream (like cetaphil, etc). But, I do like this for my nails. I have been using this daily and I think it has helped my nails. They crack less and over all look more healthy.

Foundations -Garnier - BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector Daily All-In-One
angelablair 3/14/2012 5:08:00 PM
First I will start off saying I have never tried a BB Cream, so I don't really have anything to compare this to. I have heard so much about BB creams lately and have been wanting to try one for sometime now. I had seen the commericals for the Garnier BB one and wanted to get it. I received this from bzzagent and couldn't wait to try. People say that this more of a tinted moisturizer rather than a BB cream. I'm not so sure of that but I really like it either way. I have been using it over the past few days and I'm pleased with the results I am getting. It goes on smooth and is a perfect color match for my skin, I have the light/medium shade. It does seem a little greasy at first, but once it sinks in it gives you a nice glow. I recommend setting it with a powder to make it stay on longer and if you don't really like a "dewy" look, because I don't. I like to use my maybelline pure stay powder foundation with it, this gives a perfect coverage. It is scented. I would describe it as a fresh floral scent. I really like it, but I know some are sensitive to scented products and wouldn't like this. Overall, it does do everything that it says it does which I like. The only con would be shade range. They only make a light/ medium shade and a medium/dark shade. I haven't seen the medium/dark shade, but with only those two to choose from I think a lot of skin tones will not be able to have a match. I would repurchase though and I think this would be a great product for summer.

Moisturizers -Cetaphil - Moisturizing Cream
angelablair 11/16/2011 6:16:00 PM
For some reason my face has become super dry as the cold weather is rolling in. My skin has been dry in the past but never like this. My normal daily moisturizer wasn't doing it for me, so I read some reviews and decided to give this a try. I am sooo glad I did. It has absolutely saved my skin from the disgusting dryness it was going through. I have been using this morning and night for the past week and my skin has never felt better. The dryness is gone and I don't feel so self conscious about my dry, ugly face anymore. I have used it a few times under my foundation and it has done just fine. It sinks right into my skin making it feel great. It is unscented and while it is a little pricey (about $11), it can be justified because you get a huge tub for the price. I think this tub will last me a very long time. While I probably won't continue using this in the day time once the weather changes again, I probably will keep it as a night cream. A great buy! If you have severely dry skin, give this a try.

Lip Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Lansinoh Lanolin
angelablair 10/25/2011 2:47:00 PM
I love Lansinoh. I am still on my first tube, puchased almost 2 years ago for breastfeeding my son. It is a life saver for your nipples when breastfeeding and I never really thought about using it for anything else. But when I did, the results were awesome. Here are my uses for Lansinoh: 1. Cracked nipples due to breastfeeding (obviously) 2. Healing pimples/open sores. Ex. I had a nasty sore on the inside of my nose for months. I was getting worried that it wasn't healing and it was really painful and annoying. I had been using neosporin with no help of healing. I found my bottle of lansinoh and decided to give it a try. Well literally within 2 days my place inside my nose was completely healed! Since this incident, I started using it for any sort or sore or pimple and it helps so much. 3. Dry skin. I have acne prone skin and sometimes when I use a face wash that contains peroxide my face becomes so dry, irritated, and flakey. My normal mositurizers and exfoliators can't handle this sort of dryness, but Lansinoh can! Using this for a couple days will take care of your dry skin. I never knew Lansinoh could cause bad reactions to your skin, till reading on here. But it has been a life saver for me and I've never had any problems with it.

Liquid -Clinique - Acne Solutions Liquid Makeup
angelablair 10/22/2011 8:38:00 PM
I have found my HG foundation and I am soo happy! I've always used pressed powder or powder foundation (usually Maybelline Pure Stay). I realized my skin isn't as great as it has been in the past and I probably should start wearing a liquid foundation. I have tried a few (popular DS brands only) ex.Revelon Colorstay and I hated every one I tried. I figured I wold turn to Clinique since I have liked their products in the past. I used to use their pressed powder years ago and I loved it. There stuff is pretty reasonably priced, I payed $24 for this foundation and I think it will last me a long time. I like how the packaging squeezes out so you don't waste a ton of product. It really makes my skin look amazing and has great staying power. It covers up any zit or flaw on my face, leaving it looking smooth and pretty. Another reason I love it is it doesn't break me out, which is a huge plus! If you are looking for your HG foundation, then you should really give this a try!

Cleansers -Burt's Bees - Sensitive Facial Cleanser with Cotton Extract
angelablair 10/4/2011 5:28:00 PM
I am a BzzAgent and received this product doing this Bzz campaign for Burt's Bee's Sensitive Skin Care. I received this and the moisturizer. I have been using this for about 3 days now and I love it! It is very thick and a little goes a long way. I use about a quarter size dab and it does what it says. It removes my makeup, oil, dirt and doesn't dry out my skin. I am always skeptical to try out new products because I have dry, sensitive, acne-prone skin. I fear of breaking out, but this so far has really helped my skin. It hasn't broke me out and has actually made my skin look and feel better than before. I love that the ingredients are natural and its not scented. The person below me said it was thick and hard to wash off. I will agree with that. It is thick and takes a bit to wash off. So, if you don't like thick cleansers this isn't the product for you. I happen to like it though. It costs $9.99 which is a great price considering the ingredients and the amount of product it contains. If you have sensitive skin, this is definitely worth trying out! I think it might just be my new HG cleanser! UPDATE: I wanted to post an update since I have been using this cleanser for a couple of months now. I still really like it. It does make my skin look great and I haven't been having breakouts...however, I had to stop use of the moisturizer due to the cold weather drying out my skin and it not being quite moisturizing enough. And now I'm starting to wonder if maybe this might be making my skin dry as well. My skin has never been so dry in the colder months in the past but it sure is now. I'm thinking that maybe it could be this cleanser. I might stop using it for a while and see if that makes a difference in the dryness.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Trio - The Gilded Age [DISCONTINUED]
angelablair 9/30/2011 9:36:00 PM
LOVE this palette! The colors are beautiful, pigmented, and are great for everyday wear. I bought this the first time I saw it over the summer at my grocery store and I'm soo glad I did. I know it's technically a "summer" palette, but it is definitely perfect for year round wear!

Eye Shadow -Rimmel - Colour Rush Quad in Smoky Purple
angelablair 9/25/2011 10:56:00 AM
Terrible. This was my first and last Rimmel eyeshadow. The colors are pretty, but not pigmented at all. So you're basically putting nothing on your eyes. Will not repurchase.

Skincare - Face -Unlisted Brand - Dickinson's Witch Hazel
angelablair 6/26/2011 8:50:00 AM
I just started using this about 5 days ago as a toner. I have used it every day morning and night, after washing my face with Dove beauty bar. And my skin looks the best it has looked in a long time. My pores are much smaller and the blackheads on my nose are mostly gone. This has been a miracle product for me and I will definitely continue using it. I also made an aspirin toner with this that I used last night and I liked it as well!

Polishes -Sally Hansen - salon effects
angelablair 6/12/2011 6:04:00 PM
I am obsessed with these! I wanted to try them for a while but didn't think paying $9.99 would be worth it. The flower design was too cute to pass up, so I broke down at bought a package. I LOVE it. They were super easy to apply and I got compliments on them everywhere I went. They lasted about 10 days, and might have lasted longer but some of it came off when I was taking off my toe nail polish. The flower design was very easy to come off with polish remover. I bought the gold sparkly ones next, and again got compliments, lasted a long time, but they were harder to get off. Probably because of the thick glitter, but not too much of a problem. I just bought the pink glittery ones last night and can't wait to put them on. They are so pretty, all I want to do is stare at my nails when I have them on. I still think they are a little pricey and should come with enough strips to do your nails twice....but....I still love them and will keep repurchasing. I just hope sally hansen keeps making these and adding new colors and designs. And, you can also put them on your toes. When I wore the gold on my fingernails, I used the left over strips to make tips on my toe nails (already painted in OPI strawberry margarita). It looked soo cute and definitely looked like they were professionally done. Try it out!!!

Eyeliner -E.L.F. - Cream Eyeliner - All Colors
angelablair 5/16/2011 5:23:00 PM
I just purchased this yesterday in "gunmetal" and I LOVE it! I have been wanting to try out a cream eyeliner, but didn't really want to spend much money on one and end up not liking it. So, I picked this up at target (for $3) and tried it out. Gunmetal is a light silvery grey color. It glides on really smoothly and is super easy to apply. I love the look of this liner, but it is kind of light, better for daytime. I definitely want to go back and get more colors to try out!

Shampoo -TRESemme - Naturals Nourishing Moisture Shampoo
angelablair 4/17/2011 5:19:00 PM
Wow, I can't believe this got such bad reviews. I love this shampoo and the conditioner...I actually just finished up my first bottles of these products and bought more yesterday. The scent is great and it didn't dry my hair out whatsoever. Since I started using this line of shampoo and conditioner, I have gotten tons of compliments on my hair about how shiny and pretty it looks.

Moisturizers -Olay - Age Defying Daily Renewal Cream - Beta Hydroxy Complex
angelablair 4/7/2011 10:00:00 AM
I love this moisturizer! I just finished up on my first tub and need to go out and buy a second. It moisturizes without leaving your skin feeling sticky or looking shiny. I am prone to breakouts and my skin has stayed clear while using this product. I think its about $10, which isn't too high of a price and a little goes a long way. I bought my first tub in jan. and am just now about to buy a new one. Give it a try, my fav moisturizer yet!

Powder -Maybelline - PureStay Powder Foundation
angelablair 4/6/2011 11:30:00 AM
I have been using this powder foundation for years. It covers up all imperfections and leaves your skin looking flawless. There's not a big variety of colors, but luckily it fits my skin tone perfectly. I hope they never discontinue this product, I don't know what I would do!
