Eye Makeup Remover -Unlisted Brand - Makeup remover pads (waterproof)

This review is for the Balea brand from Germany/Austrian drugstore called DM. These makeup remover pads for waterproof makeup come in a tub with 50 pcs. They work extremely well & I cannot be without them. I used the liquid version of this product & its also very good but I like the pads because you dont have to fuss with shaking the bottle (to mix the oil & remover) put it on a pad & then use, in the tub everything is done for you. Excellent product, esp great for travel. Highly affordable & highly recommended.
Lipstick -Maybelline - color sensational Vibrant Mandarin

Really like this colour although, I was hoping for it to read more orange than it does. there is alot of pink in this colour so be careful of that if you want a MAC Morange type colour. This is my 2nd colour sensational & its a really great lipstick. I hate the packaging of these lipsticks more than anything but the actual product has good lasting quality & pigmentation. This particular colour does not last as long as the colour 715 on me, but that may be because its not a nude ie. easier to see colour fading. Pricey for a drugstore brand but recommended over higher end brands for the sake of a bright colour for a smaller price.
This review is for the colour 05 Bonjour Cherie in the Ulti Mat Nudes range. A great colour for my skin (NC30). Has a slight peachy undertone which is warm & suits me. As much as this is a nude, it also stands alone as a colour which of course is subtle but I really like it...alot. It has a VERY fine shimmer to it, but so subtle you really dont see it at first glance. It dries to a shiny finish & lasts at least a week if used with a good base/top coat. Highly recommended colour for any one with a love for nail lacquer! Great brand, excellent product.
Described as a lash & brow designer for shaping & conditioning this product does exactly as its supposed to. A clear gel consistency without leaving brows or lashes sticky. Has slight fragrance however nothing extreme.ie. you do need to smell right up against the wand to get it. Its quick drying with a smooth texture which contains panthenol. The wand has to sides to it - one side is like a mascara wand, the other side has longer 'hairs' for use on both lashes & brows. Highly recommended. Great product for the cost with was €1,95.
While I very much like the colour of this lipstick, there is nothing else about it that I like. When I use this lipstick it reminds me of lipsticks from the 80s or 90s - the smell & taste. It definitely has an old kinda feeling to it..feels like an old formula - very thick waxy feel & smell. Strange! Wild Thing is a strong dark colour so for my NC25 skin its rather dark & I therefore prefer to use it as a lip stain as opposed to full on. Would not re-purchase any Iman products though, especially after the disaster lip palette which I reviewed.
Ive been using this coconut oil on my hair since my mother used to use it way back when I was a kid. We would often get a good head massage with this stuff & she would leave it in for a few hours to moisturise & then give it all a good wash. By far the best scalp cleanser & moisturiser. This stuff is so cheap it should be free! honestly. But it gives such amazing results - far better than alot of very expensive products. My tub goes a long way & I only have to purchase this every other year. When cold, the oil will go white in colour & will not be runny/oil. Run a very hot sink & put the container (unopened) into the water for a few minutes. If the oil is real coconut oil, you will slowly see it emulsify into a thin clear-ish oil - now its ready for use! Highly recommended.
Lotions/ Creams -L'Occitane - Cherry Blossom Hand Cream

I had to try this especially after being so impressed with their Almond hand cream (similar packaging). I really like this - A LOT. It smells lovely & I only use it just before bed so it has time to work without having to worry about it being washed off etc. It absorbs fast & well, leaving absolutely zero residue which I love. I would still say the almond one is better, but I love this because it smells so fresh. L'Occitane products are pricey. This little tube costs me €8 so its not cheap but for gifts and spoils, its passable. Would recommend for sure.
Shave Products -L'Oreal - Men Expert After Shave Balsam

I purchased this for my husband as an alternative to a regular after shave & he absolutely adores this stuff. He loves that its soothing on the skin rather than just burning the hell out of it. I bought him the first bottle in 2010 & its only just finished now so it lasts forever! Ive just repurchased for him as a prezzie because I know he loves it. The packaging has changed from flowing out the bottom of the bottle to a top lid now which may cause issues with having to get product out towards the end but lets see. The first packaging was better IMO. Highly recommended for your man instead of A/shave!
This is the perfect peach colour for summer! its not pastel peach, its orangey peach. Lovely & bright (but not too bright), its got staying power. Im not a huge fan of the catrice bottles just because the lids are not that sturdy but apart from that, I cannot fault the Catrice nail lacquers at all. This colour is a winner for the coming summer & I look forward to doing some combinations with pinks & yellows too. Highly recommended.
Lipstick -Maybelline - Color Sensational - Choco cream - 715
angekronaus 4/26/2013 9:41:00 AM
My first Maybelline lipstick ever I think & its lovely. FOR ME< this is the perfect nude shade & it would easily replace my HG nude (L'oreal, the Aishwarya Rai colour that is now discontinued). I love it that much!! I dont like the packaging, I think its cheap & nasty!! The lipstick gives great moisture without having to layer it on thick...its an all round winner for me (bar the packaging). Im going to indulge in some other colours too :)
Styling Products -Schwarzkopf - Got2b texture clay
angekronaus 4/26/2013 7:36:00 AM
This is a good product - by far much better than alot of styling products available these days. The first thing you notice about this product is the great fresh orange smell which is really cool. The paste is a lovely consistency & you can use just a little or build it up to as much as you need. Product is packaged in a bright orange plastic dish with screw off lid allowing you to get your whole 4 fingers in at once. Practical & user friendly. Recommended more for short hair but I use it too depending on what style Im doing.
Self Tanners -St.Tropez - Self Tan Dark Bronzing Lotion
angekronaus 4/26/2013 7:30:00 AM
Im not big on self tanners to begin with but I do love a product that is able to replicate a very subtle tan to get you through the first couple of weeks of spring when you are lily white. This lotion works very well. It goes on extremely easy with zero streaking & it doesnt smell as bad as some of the tanners out there. By far the BEST self tanner ive tried. Yes, it does leave your hands slightly dark at first but be sure to wash them thoroughly IMMEDIATELY after application & the hands will not stain. I only use self-tanner on my legs because im too much of a ninny to try it on my face or rest of my body :) Extremely good product & the only self-tanner I would recommend if I had to.
Self Tanners -Garnier - Ambre Solaire No Streaks Bronzer Dry Body Mist
angekronaus 4/26/2013 7:25:00 AM
I bought this in the Light Glow version. Application is easier if you spray randomly rather than try to get it done by doing lines. It has quite a wide spray area so beware of things around you when you spray as it may stain towel, walls etc. Initially it has a lovely fresh peachy smell but this fades & then you smell the self-tanner smell that everyone dreads. To me, this does not qualify as a great self-tanner, but for your legs to ease into summer, its ok. Would not repurchase because of the smell though but love that the sprayer works at any angle, including upside down.
My husband & I both use this one a week or so to clean out our hair after product build-up of hairsprays, gels, stylers, etc. This works incredibly well & does exactly what its meant to. I can sometimes get away with just one wash, sometimes i need to do a double cleanse to make sure ive cleansed properly but i have very thick, long hair. It smells citrusy but you do get a slight whiff of the acidic side too - however it is neither overwhelming nor off-putting. I used to use Redken All Soft shampoo & conditioner but since they changed their formula, I have stopped using it so I was not convinced by Redken anymore. This product though is good & works like it should. Highly recommended.
I am in love with this product. Its been a while since I came across such a wonderfully easy but so efficient product like this. Phyto 9 is a nourishing day cream for ultra-dry hair containing some great ingredients like macadamia oil, calendula, sage, soybean etc. It is almost odourless however does have a slight soy/macadamia oil type smell, but its nothing overwhelming & NO artificial fragrance. Its a leave-in treatment that can be used every day. A small pea sized amount is used. Rub it in your hands to warm it up & emulsify & then distribute through your hair. I am so addicted I keep this in my makeup bag & although I dont use it every day, I do use it most days for some extra moisture. HG product for sure - will never be without.
