Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Falsies

I bought the 8ml bottle of regular black at Target for about $3. First, based on the majority of photos submitted for this product, users are applying way too much product. Of course you'll get clumpy/spider lashes if you use too much of a product or use it the wrong way. Second, most new bottles of mascara are obviously full of product and will be some level of temperamental until you use it for a while so you can get weird lashes from any new mascara if the brush is loaded... I had a great experience with this product when I only used one coat and I did not curl my lashes prior to use. The way to get this product to work well is to make sure you get some product off the wand as you pull it out of the tube, I personally dabbed the convex angle of the wand on a clean surface to get the excess off, then used a gentle side to side motion with that same outer angle when I pulled it through my lashes. I only used one coat this way and I noticed my lashes looked separated and longer without looking thicker or clumped. They literally look similar to a subtle false lash. Also, I feel like I should mention that I compared this mascara to my favorite Covergirl Lashblast and the Falsies lashes look very similar but the Lashblast lashes feel so heavy compared to the Falsies lashes. I'm not convinced I'll buy this again because I prefer a thickening mascara but it was a bargain for $3
