Lotions/ Creams -Aveeno - Aveeno Diaper Rash Cream

Awesome product ! And btw,I am sooo happy I am not the only one who uses diaper rash cream as a sunscreen substitute ! I highly recommend it, especially since the mineral ingredients are exactly the same. And much cheaper than buying sunscreen and diaper rash cream separately....

Liquid -Revlon - Age Defying Makeup with Botafirm SPF 20 for Normal/Combination Skin

I am over 40 and have fair skin, and I LOVE this foundation. It's hard to find foundations with natural sunscreens like this one ( zinc oxide & titanium dioxide ) since most dermatologists will tell you the physical sunblocks protect you the best! This foundation is not heavy, and blends very well. I would especially recommend this foundation for women over 40 like me.

GREAT FOR WRINKLES ! I am 43 and I used this product specifically for the Salicylic Acid; I know that Salicylic Acid, like Retinol, can be used for aging skin to to minimize wrinkles I put this cream on my face every other night, and when I wake up my face feels so smooth and tight...and the little wrinkles on my forehead almost disappear. This cream is basically a wonderful exfoliant ! Of course I don't suggest using this every day...I am lucky my face is not really sensitive. So this may irritate your skin a little. But to me, it's worth it. The effects don't lost very long.....but overall I LOVE this product, and would recommend this cream for diminishing fine wrinkles on aging skin.

Lotions/ Creams -Lubriderm - Daily Moisture with SPF 15
anasofie 2/2/2013 10:42:00 PM
Overall, I like this daily lotion. I am also fair-skinned and needed something versatile with built-in SPF. However, even though it's supposed to be 'Fragrance Free' this lotion smells suspiciously like...well, sunscreen. Seriously, I wish they would try a little harder to mitigate that very distinctive, coppery-tone like smell. Ugh.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Organic Root Stimulator - Olive Oil Oil Moisturizing Hair Lotion

I have long bleached hair and I find some of the best hair conditioners in the 'ethnic' hair care section. This lotion is AWESOME ! it smells light and does not go on too thick. I use a small amount on my hair as a leave in conditioner. But I also found It works great as a hand lotion, cuticle moisturizer, and light face cream to use at night. And the price is great ...like 3.00 at Walmart. For 3 products in one, that's pretty cheap.

Liquid -Maybelline - Fit Me Foundation

I am over 40, and I LOVE this foundation. It's no too heavy, but goes on very sheer. The coverage is great and makes my skin feel silky. Another plus- it seems to STYAY on your face for hours, and does not rub off so easily, like other foundations. I only wish the SPF was a bit higher. But sometimes I mix my foundation AND a little sunscreen together, just to get a little more protection.

Sunscreen -Neutrogena - Sensitive Skin Sunblock Lotion SPF 60
anasofie 9/3/2011 7:42:00 PM
I prefer natural, physical sunblocks to chemical ones, and this product had only zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. Most dermatologists agree these blocks are very effective, if not MORE effective, than chemical sunscreens. I spend lots of time in the sun and have very fair skin. Other physical sunblocks I tried very either TOO THICK or not thick enough, with a low SPF. This sunscreen was -free, went on pretty smooth, lasted all day, and is good for everyday use. The only negative is the slight whitish-cast it can leave on the skin. I suppose people like me with light skin can blend this rather well. However, if you have darker skin, I've read simply mix a tiny bit of your foundation with the sunscreen, and that pretty much eliminates that whitish cast on darker skin ( just a suggestion ). I would HIGHLY recommend this product

Sunscreen -Ocean Potion - SPF 50 Sunscreen
anasofie 5/14/2011 10:14:00 PM
Like many others, I was desperately searching for a nice, lightweight sunscreen with a high SPF..which did not leave me smelling like a coconut all day !!! Why do MOST sunscreen always smell the same ? Anyhow, this sunscreen smells awesome, works great, and goes on smoothly. It's not thick and gooey like many other sunscreens. I still prefer a thick, mineral-based sunscreen with zinc oxide and titsnuim oxide for days when I'm out in the hot sun all day long ! But for lightweight, good sunscreen for daily use, I LOVE this sunscreen !!

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Africa's Best Ultimate Hair oil with Ginseng
anasofie 1/22/2011 10:57:00 PM
I am white with long bleached hair. I am constantly looking for good conditioners. I had read that ethnic, African-American hair products are great for Caucasian hair, too (especially damaged, dry hair ) So while I was at Wal-Mart I came across this product and read the ingrdients. It has carrot oil, walnut oil, jojoba oil, olive oil, and a few others. And best of all, it was only $1.97 !! I could not believe how cheap it was. But I went ahead and tried it. I use it as a deep conditioner on my hair twice a week, and heat it up in the microwave for about 10 seconds. I leave it on for about 30 minutes, My hair came out very silky, soft and beautiful !!! It did not come out greasy at all. And this oil can be used on skin and nails too ! And it smells great. Of course the only downside is it's quite heavy and thick. So if your hair is normal and/ or oily- you probably should not use this product. This product is one of the best conditioners I've used. It's better than all the the expensive, fancy ones I've used I highly recommend this product for anyone ( black or white ) who has very dry, damaged hair. I will definitely buy this one again !

Hair Color -L'Oreal - HiColor High Lift Hair Color
anasofie 12/23/2010 9:04:00 PM
Color used - Sandstone Blonde Natural Color- Dark Brown I was tired of bleaching my hair blonde, so I tried this product. I only wanted a medium, natural-looking blonde, so I figured this would lift enough to give my brown hair a pretty shade of blonde. It did lift to a dark blonde, but with lots of coppery, reddish highlights. I toned those down with a purple/violet shampoo. It worked a little bit. Overall, I would say it was OK. Nothing spectacular, and definitely not like the color swatch. However, I want to warn people like me with dark hair who are using the blonde shades to be careful. I finally decided to go back to bleaching my hair a lighter blonde. And this dye was VERY difficult to lift out of my hair. It took several bleachings to remove this dye so I could re-color my hair. So make sure you really want this dye before you use it. It will be hard to do color-correction with this dye. On the upside, at least this dye doesn't fade much at all. I basically think this dye works best for those with medium-brown hair and lighter. Those with really dark hair are probably always going to have the reddish/coppery undertones to deal with, like I did.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Proclaim - Natural 7 Oil
anasofie 12/22/2010 9:34:00 PM
I have long, bleached hair. Since using this product as a deep oil treatment twice a week, my hair has really improved. My split ends have almost disappeared. And my hair is very silky and manageable, It does not feel like straw anymore !! Once again, this proves that just because a product is dirt cheap doesn't mean it won't work. I will never blow lots of money on fancy hair conditioners anymore !! This one is awesome..and the green bottle of 'Natural 7 with Olive Oil' is almost better than this one. It smells better, feels lighter on your hair, and leaves my hair VERY silky,- NOT greasy at all.. I HIGHLY recommend BOTH of these Proclaim products

Hair -Alberto Vo5 - Alberto V05 Conditioning Hairdressing
anasofie 12/2/2010 10:01:00 PM
I use the one for silver/blonde hair and I love it !!! I have long, damaged bleached hair. I am always trying to find cheap conditioners that really work. This product works great. One small drop tames frizzes and makes my hair shiny and tones the brassiness, since it's a purple cream. This product proves once again to me that simple conditioners work just as good, if not better, than all those fancy, expensive ones. I highly recommend this product. Remember, a little dab goes a long way, so don't use too much - or your hair will be too greasy ! I think those who complains it's too heavy are just using too much.

Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - Softee-Coconut Oil Conditioner
anasofie 12/1/2010 9:02:00 PM
Although this product is marketed in the ethnic hair care section, I have used it. I am white and have long bleached hair that is very dry. A little goes a long way. And I find this a bit too greasy for everyday use, other than using it to smooth split ends. However, I DO use this as an excellent overnight deep treatment on my hair. I put it in my hair, braid it, and leave it in. In the morning, I wash it out and my hair feels awesome ! So I highly recommend this as good, cheap treatment for bleached or overly dry hair.

This product is awesome if you are looking for a great, cheap conditioner for damaged hair. I have long bleached hair and I'm constantly looking for great conditioners that won't break the bank. It never ceases to amaze me how often the cheaper ones ( like this one ) often out-perform the real fancy expensive conditioners. If your hair is really dry or damaged, or over-bleached, try this product !! I think you'll be happy you did.
