Cleansers -Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser

I have oily skin and this cleanser unfortunately does not remove oil or makeup well at all! For those of you with oily skin, I would recommend something else. My face still felt dirty and oily after using this cleasnser, even if I rubbed it in rinsed and repeated. Did not like this product, despite its hype. I tried the cetaphil daily facial cleanser for normal to oily skin which was much better. I use that one now and like it (though still not super amazing).

Powder -BeneFit Cosmetics - Hello Flawless!

I do love this product! I was unsure at first but am now pretty set on my opinion. The negatives are the price and the amount you get. One compact only lasted me about 3 or so weeks (which is why I rated it 4 and not 5). However, this powder is great with concealer and gives a very even and matte look. If you have oily skin (mine is very oily!) you should definitely give this powder a try! It keeps me much less oily during the day which I did not expect from this product. On the flip side, I'm not sure how those with dry skin would do with this powder? I've gotten some compliments while wearing this powder, so that's a plus. If you are looking for full coverage you may not be satisfied - I use concealer underneath for red spots left from break outs I had awhile ago (this powder has not caused me to break out, and I am acne-prone). While not full coverage I am happy with the coverage it does provide, which I would say is medium - but it is buildable! This powder is a very good setting powder too.

I use this in conjunction with Atralin (a product I had been using before I started using Aczone). Atralin started to not work as wonderfully as it had in the past and after trying Benzaclin, doxycycline, and a few other non prescription treatments my derm suggested I try this. The first few weeks I didn't notice much of a change. However, I continued to use this product and after the first few weeks it finally gave me improvement. I think I have been using this for about 2 months and so far it has been pretty great. Acne is so frustrating so to not have break outs is amazing and a relief. It's also not too drying and hasn't irritated my super sensitive skin. I didn't give it a 5 because I'm wanting to see if this works for the long term (more than a year). Otherwise, I would recommend this for people frustrated with adult acne!!!
