My HG shampoo. I have never used a shampoo, from the cheap to the expensive, that did this made my hair look this good. It gives it shine, takes away the frizz and poofiness. I have never had a shampoo make such a difference in my hair before. I've been using this for half a year now

This is a great product provided that you want to end up with straight hair. I put this in my very curly hair under a mousse for better hold. I then let it air dry. My hair comes out with very loose waves, exactly the look I want. I have no doubt that I used a blow dryer or iron, I'd get really straight hair from this. As my hair has gotten back more and more of it's natural curl, I'm needing stronger products to relax the curl a bit. I had been having it relaxed at a salon a few times a year, but after a few years I was losing too much hair to breakage. So this gives my almost the same look without the chemicals. Great find.

Moisturizers -L'Oreal - Dermo Expertise Hydra-Renewal Continuous Moisture Cream

My HG for moisturizer. I try other things from time to time, something with sunscreen, something with anti-aging properties, but I always come back to this. I have really dry skin, that is sensitive to some products. This goes on great under makeup. It looks like a cream in the jar, but it goes on really light. It keeps my skin hydrated all day. No irritation whatsoever.

Styling Products -Joico - K-Pak Protect & Shine Serum

Just tried this a few weeks ago based on reviews here. I was looking for something new to keep frizz under control and add some shine. I was using L'Oreal Professional, but I was tired of going to a salon for it. I have to say this is great stuff. I thought it was only good stuff until I leaned into the shower to help shampoo my kid's hair. Usually I come out of this process with my hair rather frizzy and puffy. Last week, my hair still looked perfect at the end of it. I was surprised. It gives my hair a bit of shine, and really keeps it looking nice all day. I have wavy to curly hair. It is expensive, but the bottle will last forever. My hair is just past shoulder length. I use a few drops for the crown and one drop on the ends. Any more than that, and the hair feels greasy. I don't have a problem with buildup, but I do wash my hair every day, including a clarifying shampoo twice a week.

Concealers -Clinique - Line Smoothing Concealer

This has really good coverage. It does smooth out the lines a little, as the name says. On me it lasts all day. My only wish is that they had more shades.

Skincare - Face -Prescriptives - immediate glow tonic

Great product for people with dry skin. This is the only toner I'll use. It feels good on the skin, no stinging. I haven't found another one like it.

Bronzers -Physicians Formula - Healthy Glow Bronze Organics
amster1234 5/1/2008 2:12:00 AM
I really wanted to like this. The color is great, exactly like the name says - a really healthy sun-kissed glow. Not at all like a fake tan color. The price is great, packaging pretty good. Now, why won't I buy it again? Something about the formula is very drying. It says to use over moisturizer, which I did, but my skin still felt very dry and flaky after using this. I do have very dry skin, but the Cover GIrl bronzer that I use doesn't dry out my skin like this product does. So if you're more of an oily skin type who wants a natural looking bronzer, this would be perfect. For dry skin types, stay away.

Treatments (Eye) -L'Oreal - Revitalift Double Lifting Eye

I've been using this for a few months now. I'm on my third package. I'm not sure how fast it happened, but at this point the crow's feet around my eyes are nearly gone. I'm in my late 40's and they were starting to be very noticible. The firming part does seem to lift my lids as well.
