This is my Holy Grail winter skin savior. It has become cold in the Mid-West and my skin is increasingly drier. I actually got this on a whim because Wal-Mart was out of Ponds Dry Skin Cream. I'm glad because this works so much better for me. I put this on my cleaned and toned skin as an overnight moisturizer and I wake up with baby soft skin!!! No night moisturizer has been able to accomplish this for me and this costs less than $4.00......win for me!!!
Crème -Fashion Fair - True Finish Refining Mineral Foundation

I have been wearing this foundation all week! I love this. I feel this will bring Fashion Fair back into the game. This is a lightweight liquid with a slight pearlescence. It gives the skin a nice glow without looking oily. The coverage is light, but can be built up a bit to medium. It looks very natural on the skin. It comes in 3 different undertones and 18 shades. My current shade is Gracious Golden which is described as medium tan with yellow undertones. I'm normally NC45/44 with Mac, however I'm somewhat darker because I got a lot of sun and I will need a lighter color. I'm going to try Soulful Tan which is a light tan with yellow undertones. I'm looking forward to trying some more of the reformulations.
This has to be by far the worst MAC lipstick I've ever purchased. It is very drying for a cremesheen and it applies very patchy. I have to put a gloss on top to make it look decent, then it slide around the lips and becomes uneven. This is a very difficult lipstick to work with. I wonder if I got a "bad one". This is going back to MAC.
Liquid -Revlon - PhotoReady Airbrush Mousse Makeup

I really wanted to try this product, so I searched for the product in the color Caramel. I really like this foundation!! I tried the regular PhotoReady, but it was to sparkly and very drying. This doesn't have the same sparkle, but it has a slight shimmer. It gives the face a glow, because the foundation dries to a natural matte finish. My skin is normal to dry, so I have to make sure my skin is very moisturized and exfoliated because it does cling to dry patches. I pump a small amount about the size of a quarter on the back of my hand. I apply the foundation with a damped Sonia Kashuk flat top brush. Then, I take a damped Sonia Kashuk beauty blender sponge and blend. This application method gives me light to medium coverage. It dries to natual matte finish and I don't use any powder on top. It lasts all day for me as well. I wore this foundation every day for a week, and I am impressed. I will definately repurchase!!!
OK, so I had been wanting to try this and I found a bottle on clearance at my local Target for $2.58. I couldn't beat the price, so here was my chance. I got the color Caramel, but I have been holding on to it because this matches me better in the summer when I have gotten a tan. I applied a small amount with a dampened sponge, so that the coverage would be sheered out. I'm not oliy so oil control was not a problem for me. I put it on about 6 am, and at about 2:30 pm I looked in the mirror and I am a dark, orange, and muddy looking! I can't wait to get home and wash this off. Good thing I got it on clearance!! I guess I just can't wear Maybelline foundation.
This is the best blue mascara for $1.99 on the planet! No smudges, flakes, smears or irritation after 10 hours of wear! Will certainly buy more.
I really like this powder. I have been trying products from this line at my local beauty supply, because I can't resist pretty things even if I don't need them. LOL I have this powder in shade 02 banana. It is very yellow in the container just like the Ben Nye banana powder. It gives a nice warmness to the skin. I bought this because I already have the MUFE HD powder, which is fine. But I like the warmth of the yellow powder. The container actually has a feature where the sifter turns to lock the powder, so there is no spillage. This is great and it only cost $5.99. I will definately purchase this again.
I really like this foundation. I have been wearing it for a few days on top of the Rimmel face primer and I like the combination. My skin is normal to dry and this doesn't dry my face and it stays put all day. I think the oily ladies would certainly need an oil control primer with this. The color range is impressive for drug store foundation. This would be great if we had a pump on the bottle in the states. I orginally bought this in Warm Caramel #530, but I thought it looked a little dark and somewhat red on my skin. Since they were on sale, I went and bought the next lighter shade which is Natural Caramel #520 and the match is perfect. I am NC44/45/C7 in Mac. HTH
I REALLY like this foundation. I have been using it for a while, because I wanted to give it a good test before reviewing. It wears really well and I would say the coverage is sheer to medium. It can be built up for medium, but isn't full coverage at all. It would look cakey at full coverage. A little goes a long way with this. It comes out of the tube as a mousse, so it is easy to squeeze too much out. All you need is a pea sized amount. I think this is best suited for normal to slightly dry skin, oily ladies may have a problem with this. My color is Clay 2 and I am NC 44/45 in MAC. The Iman website recommends Clay 3 for me, but that has a reddish undertone and I am more yellow....HTH
I really like NYX glosses. The name of this is very misleading. It looks nothing like copper or a penny, but it is very cute! It is a pink with golden tones to it. Looks very nice and is very opaque on the lips, almost like a liquid lipstick.
I LOVE this!! The shadows lean more towards the warm side of the color spectrum and look awesome on brown eyes. I am wearing a combinations of the greens and my eyes really POP! Kat's palettes are on sale at Sephora for $24.00 until 9/30, so if you can get one please do. That is a great price for 8 quality eyeshadows. I am definately going to try another one. This is my first venture into Kat's line and I am glad I did.
I LOVE this!!! The best $10 I have spent on a beauty product! The shadows wore all day. I applied them at 6 a.m. with TFSI and it was stll there until I took it off at 10 p.m. The colors are very complimentary!
Powders -Smashbox - Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder
amazin90 9/5/2010 2:04:00 AM
I like the idea of this powder, and I love the grinder. That's it for the good stuff. The undertone of this powder is wrong. I have the complexion perfection kit in dark and this powder was included in dark. I am NC45 in MAC right now and this powder makes me look ashy. It is described as having a neutral undertone and I have very warm skin, so this just doesn't work for me. No one wants the dreaded ashy face!!!
This is called the NAKED eye kit for a reason. I don't understand people giving bad reviews for a product that does what it says. This palette is not going to give bold eye looks, even though you actually could do that with this. I like this pallette very much. I use it during the week for work when I want to look soft and give my eyes minimal emphasis. The colors, although soft do show up very well on my skin. I am currently NC45 due to my summer tan and it still works. The fact that I use eyeshadow primer helps it stay all day. I have all the Too Faced eye palettes.....Natural Eye, Smoky Eye, and Naked Eye. I LOVE them all!
I thought I reviewed this already. I really love this blush!!! It gives the skin such a beautiful glow that looks lit from within, but you must use a light hand. This blush is super pigmented as all NARS blushes are. Even with the rubberized case, I have managed to break mine. So be careful...but I think I dropped it like 15 times before it actually broke!....LOL
