I really like this foundation. It evened out my skin tone and gave me a dewy 'luminous' glow. Light coverage but buildable. Colour selection is great. I have sensitive skin and it has not caused any breakouts or irritation. Lastly I LOVE the packaging. It comes with a pump!

Shampoo -LUSH - Curly Wurly
als14 5/19/2012 12:07:00 PM
I have thin, dry, curly hair thats prone to frizz. This shampoo eliminated most frizz, made my hair really soft, shiny and moisturized. The only thing is regardless of how much I rinsed it, I found it left chunks in my hair. (Which brushed out easily) Overall its a really good shampoo compared to others in its price range. I will def be buying again.

This is a good drugstore foundation. Great colour selection, medium coverage, good price. Did not cause me to break out.

This blush is actually really good. I picked it up the other day on a whim, and was pleasently surprised at how well it works. Gives great, natural looking colour. You def dont need alot, its highly pigmented.

Skincare - Face -Unlisted Brand - Dickinson's Witch Hazel

This toner is awesome. Its cheap and effective. I was surprised how well it worked with my dry skin. It maintains the skin's natural moisture barrier without stripping it of it's natural oils. Only thing is it kind of smells like overproof rum lol. Get past the smell and its a great product!

Toners -Olay - Refreshing Toner

This is a good toner. I like the fact it has witch hazel in it which helps with acne but it drys out your skin like crazy! As long as you have a good moisturizer though you should be fine.

Cleansers -Unlisted Brand - Spectro Jel 609

I get the odd pimple but one summer i was breaking out like a pubescent teenager. It was horrible! i didn't want to use proactive from all the horrible things i've heard about it so i decided to give spectro a try. It worked wonders when i first started using it. It got rid of all my pimples and kept my skin clear but after a few months or so of using it i started to get these little bumps around my mouth. They weren't whiteheads or those sore pimples or anything, just these little bumps. There was just a few at first but then they started to spread all around my chin and mouth. I kept using the spectro gel thinking it would take them away as it once had, but it just got worse! So i decided to go organic and cleanse with honey and use jojoba oil and vit E as my moisturizer (at night). After a week of doing this the bumps disappeared and haven't been back since! it has now been about a month since ive used spectro and my face has never looked better. I know those cleansers/moisturizers are specially formulated to treat pimples but in my case, it only made my situation worse. I would defiantly recommend going the organic way as its way less harmful for your skin and really does work and continue to! Its only been about a month since i've started doing this regiment so i will keep MUA updated if anything changes but after reading the other reviews on MUA about honey/jojoba oil, it doesn't seem like anything will change :)

Moisturizers -Desert Essence - Jojoba Oil - 100% pure
als14 5/15/2011 11:07:00 AM
This stuff is amazing! i put a couple drops on my face (along with a few drops of vitamin E which helps with acne scars) before i go to bed and wake up with rejuvenated and refreshed skin. My nightly regiment: Cleanse face with pure organic honey (the darker and more crystals the better, thats how you know its truly organic) Put a couple of drops of Jojoba oil mixed with even portions of vitamin E. The combination of the two are suppose to condition and moisturize the skin, and free the skin of free radicals which contribute to aging. *I would recommend starting off with a couple drops of each and increase if needed. Personally, I only need two drops of each, but everyones different. I also put the jojoba oil on my hair to nourish my dry ends. It moisturizes my hair and gives it a nice sleek shine. Apparently it helps with dandruff too.

this product did not work well with my hair at all. i have long fine curly hair and it jus weighed my hair down. It didnt eliminate frizz at all, in fact by the end of the day my hair looked like a huge puff ball. It also left a gross film on my hair. i really wished it worked! this product is extremely good for your hair, it isnt tested on animals and contains nourishing ingredients, but it looks like i will never be purchasing this again.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Honey
als14 5/8/2011 3:21:00 PM
After reading all the amazing results on MUA i decided to give honey a try and i am so happy i did. My skin is normal-dry, with the odd pimple but around my time of the month i always break out with those big, sore pimples. So i incorporated honey into my nightly skin care routine around that time. First i make sure all my make up is off (i use baby wipes, they work wonderfully at removing makeup) then i put a thin layer of honey on my face and let it sit for about 10 minutes. I wash it off, pat dry with a towel and apply my facial moisturizer. By the next day, the pimples have dramatically reduced in size and redness. After a couple days of doing this the pimples disappear. Not only did it get rid of my pimples, it totally erased my blackheads around my nose and made my skin feel so soft. Best of all its great for your skin (parabean free, no harmful acids, etc) and isn't even that expensive! I am definitely going to incorporate this into my overall skin care regiment all the time!!

Powder -Almay - Wake Up Hydrating Makeup
als14 5/1/2011 2:06:00 AM
i have normal skin, it does tend to lean to the dry side though so i wanted to try almay's hydrating makeup. I have a fairly clear coplexion, with the odd pimple but other than that my face is pretty clear. It worked really well with my skin, it didnt make me break out and gave a nice medium coverage. However, make sure it is applyed in small amounts. It does tend to cake up if you apply too much at once. As long as the application is done properly, its a great powder fondation.
