Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express Turbo Boost Mascara
allthingsmakeupnbeauty 2/18/2013 11:53:00 PM
I just bought this mascara a couple of days ago because I had finished my megaplush and while debating whether or not to pick up my regular go to (classic volume express) I saw this one and pulled in due to the fact that is has a reg mascara wand like the classic does (also similar to loreals voluminous). So i decided to try the turbo boost out because 1. the Classic formula is a bit too dry even though i love the wand 2. although I love Megaplush's formula, the wand was a bit too circular for my lashes. (i wish they has one where the wand was like the classic or turbo but with megaplush's formula) and 3. the packaging showed 7x the volume in comparison to classic's which is 3x :P yea i know i shouldnt always trust labels but i didnt care that night. After trying out the mascara now for 2 days, i can honestly say this is my all time FAVORITE drugstore mascara. On my lashes, they look very similar to the way Lancome's Hypnose Doll Eyes applies. The first just being more affordable. The outcome looks likes im seriously wearing falsies. Even though its not advertised as a fiber mascara, I feel like it does a great job at lengthening my lashes as well as separating. It looks very black on my lashes which i love and although I can see why some reviews says they experience clumping, it never was a serious issue because 1-2 swipes or my lash comb took out any slight clumps i had. on top of that, I have very oily skin and eyelids but didnt experience and smudging. if you love Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes' formula but cant justify paying the price tag again then i definitely recommend this mascara. I'm just surprise it took me this long to discover this new HG product.
like most reviews on this product, i also like it. my previous primer to this was loreals primer in the little jar. the formula was ok however it recently started to curl up on my skin causing my foundation to flake in certain areas. plus i hated the jar it came in. this primer comes in a convenient and sanitary bottle with a pump like the foundations in the same photoready line do. theres a lot of product for the price you pay. i have oily skin all over and i noticed that after applying my olay moisturizer for sensitive skin after washing my face in the morning, i have this slightly shiny look all over my face. however once i apply this primer on after the moisturizer i noticed an immediate mattifying appearing right away. it glides on really smoothly. one pump covers my entire face. i have acne prone skin but so far it hasn't broken me out. i've only been using this for a week so i'll update again if anything changes on that part. i don't notice any obnoxious smell either. so far i'm loving this primer. my previous HG face primer was from victoria's secret the pro FX one i think that was what it was called. it use to be $12 but they've since jacked up the price to $18 for the same size bottle. =( since then i've been looking for a new primer and now i think i've found my new go to primer. *love* they price was $13.50 at but i had a $3 OFF coupon so i paid under $10 for is which isn't bad at all.
bought this about 5 months but haven't really used it due to having so many other lipsticks and when revlon's lip butters came out those were about the only lippies i reached for on a daily bases. today i pulled out heavenly and tried it out again for the 2nd times since buying it and OMG i totally regret neglecting this little baby. it's such a nice everyday medium pink that goes with a nude or smokey eye. totally brings out my lips its not really a MLBB because it shows more pinky. on top of the nice everyday wearability of it the formula is fantastic. i really like my revlon lipstick in primrose however i find it kind of drying after about 30 mins and i do exfoliate anytime i plan on wearing lipstick. today when i wore heavenly it didnt settle into the lines i have on my lips and stayed smooth and moisturized looking even after 2 hours of wear. staying power is whatevers. i don't really care if i have to reapply. that's part of the whole appeal of wearing lipstick and lipgloss to me...the reapplication after eating or drinking lol. there's no obnoxious smell that i can detect and the packaging is simply adorable not cheapy looking at all. definitely sturdy, sleek, and on the higher end looking side of drugstore lipsticks. all in all i LOVE this lipstick the color and formulation and will def purchase more colors from the lip perfection line. i actually bought Delish at the same time but haven't touched that once since buying it as well but i will def bring it out and use it more now. i totally recommend this color and lip line to anyone looking for a high quality drugstore lipstick. they have so many cute colors. i think i will try Enchantress next.
I LOVE these polishes. The application goes on sooo smooth and opaque with just the first coat. Perfect with just two coats. These polishes are my new HG drugstore polishes. The reason why I'm not a fan of Essie even some colors are to die for is because you usually need 3 coats to achieve the opacity you see in the bottle. Not with these. Omg I need to get more. So far I've picked up Blue Slate, Spanish Moss, and Buttercup. I still want Provence, Rich Raspberry, and Cafe Pink. Maybe Midnight as well. I'd def recommend this line over any other line of polishes. Even OPI
Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter in Pink Truffle
allthingsmakeupnbeauty 11/26/2011 9:51:00 PM
this to me seems like the most neutral natural of all da lip butters very MLBB. the name says it all its a light pinky brown shades dat gives my lips a nice pouty look even with only one application i love the satiny look it gives my lipa and if i want a little more gloss i just apply some revlon super lustrous gloss in pink pursuit and it becomes da perfect natural glossy satiny look for me. i do find i need to apply some eos lip balm before this but dats only because i naturally have dry sensitive lips which doesnt bother me. overal i love all the whole revlon lip butter line and i plan to get more even tho i hv five alrdy. lollipop, strawberry shortcake, candy apple, sweet tart and pink truffle wud be my fifth
i read about this concealer on carahamelie's website n decided to try it out. i wanted a new concealer that didnt require me dipping my finger into to and wasnt drying. this concealer works amazing well. its my first lipstick like concealer i find it very easily blendable. not too blendable where it doesnt conceal. i use it over or under my bareminerals foundation to spot conceal and its greats. i have it in light medium n it matches really nicely. im about a nc25 in mac. this tube y concealer is great for when im in a hurry too i just moisturize dab some onto the spots i need to concealer wait 5 secs and blend with my ring ringer. it gives me a quick natural easy look. i do powder just to make it stay a bit longer. my skin is very senstive n acne prone but i dont find this product irritating at all. def an HG item frm now on.
i recently ran out of my bareminerals foundation and didnt have anytime to drive to sephora or ulta to buy another so i quickly stopped by cvs to grab loreals mineral foundation in buff beige. ive used this about 2 years ago n didnt really see a prob with it. i have oily sensitive acneprone skin and when i used it 2 years ago my acne was only moderate but never did it actually clear up. i switched to BE becuz i felt it was better quality and it never broke me out but had to switch back to loreal last month due to running out. im not sure what happened maybr because i was starting a new job n the stress plus hormonal changes due to being 3 months preggos but i startee breaking out reallllly badly within the last 3 weeks same time i was using the loreal mineral foundation. i didnt. prior to using loreal my skin had actually clearee up really nicely due to proactiv. ive since quit my pore clogging job (bather/groomer at petsmart) and has been using my proactiv religiously all the while still covering up my recent acne flare up with the loreal foundation but i saw my acne was still flaring if not getting worse!!! i didnt know what the reason was behind this but i figured it may be because of the loreal foundation because i hvnt had cystic acne in years ever since i started using proactiv and my BE foundation together. its been a few days since ive used da loreal foundation and i can safetly say my skin has started to recover frm the recent crazy breakout. im now quite decided maybe im now allergic to some ingredient in da loreal foundation causing dat crazy flare up. ive alrdy thrown it out cant return it because i cant find the receipt and as soon as my face smoothens out more im gonna head to my nearest sephora to buy the BE foundation again its my HG mineral foundation i shud never stray from it again i learned my lesson. ***update*** i'm now updating my review on this product. i really believe the crazy cystic acne flare up i had while using this product was a reaction to my hormonal changes i was experiencing due to my pregnancy. i read online that pregnancy flare ups are common especially with first time pregnancies. it just so happen to occur during the same time i was using this product again. my skin has recovered completely now. probably due to now being in my last month of pregnancy and my hormonal level has stabilized. *finally* but i'm still not sure about this product i dont want to risk it and have it do anything to my skin. im now actually mixing my stila tinted moisturizer with a little of neutragena's skin clearing oil free liquid foundation to even out my skin tone and that is working out fine for me.
Lipstick -Revlon - Matte lipstick in Mauve It Over

My new HG lippy. omg color is so nice n natural goes with any eye look i do. da matte finish actualy stayed on more nicely than da creme or moisture rich lipsticks do. my lips didnt flake or dry out da entire 4 hours i had it on. i luv revlons colorburst lipstick in petal but i was needing a more matte finish n now ive finally found my everyday go to lippy for the rest of my life! *sorry i get a lil excited about makeup at times...*
Moisturizers -Olay - Olay Complete - Fragrance Free

love this product. needed a moisturizer that had spf plus one that wasnt gonna clog my pores since i have oily acne prone skin. my old moisturizer from clean n clear wasnt giving me enough moisture to the point where my bareminerals foundation would turn flaky especially during those winter months. first saw this on bebexo's youtube channel on one of her monthly favs video. this lotion has never broken me out. is non greasy absorbs really quickly into the skin so that i can quickly apply makeup when im in a rush. the pricing is ok. at $7 for 4 fl. oz. its decent. i bought mine in Jan. and in the beginning i was using way too much because i was still in my old clean n clear days but its now June and i still have a lil than less a bottle left. im def gonna purchase a back up now. all in all my new HG moisturizer.
Treatments (Eye) -Garnier - Anti dark circle roller
allthingsmakeupnbeauty 6/29/2011 10:56:00 PM
at first i didnt like this as a concealer. i saw makeupfreeek use it in her FOTD youtube video and wen i applied the same amount she did i just looked ridiculous. plus i felt it was too watery to conceal anything it just started looking streaky. i decided to use it again a few days later and this time i applied half of wat i used the last time as well as shaded in my eyebrows before i patted out the concealer...OMG my new HG concealer for when i want light coverage. all i had to do was wait a lil before patting it out the coverage turns out realllly nice. i felt it was a lil pricey at cvs initially but with a coupon i got it for $10 which i find decent enough. great stuff all in all as long as they never dc i was ALWAYS rebuy.
i think it has to do with a combo of genetics/oily skin/stress but once i turned 12 i had horrible acne. i spent so many years feeling insecure and shy around ppl due to my skin problems. because of that i started wearing medium to full coverage foundation in my 8th grade year. i never left the house without foundation. my mom introduced me to proactiv when i was 15 but she only got me a 3 month supply. however tho during that time i noticed my acne clearing up on my cheeks big time. i did still have pimple on my forehead. after i used up the 3 month supply it was too expensive for my mom to keep buying so my acne came back. ive since tried so many other drugstore acne systems and treatments but nothing ever kept the pimples away. up until 20 i never let anyone, even when i went to the gym, see me without makeup due to the severe acne and acne scarring i had. even my then hubby then boyfriend never saw me without some foundation and powder in the beginning of our relationship. however when i turned 23 i decided to give proactiv a try again since a. i can now afford it b. the hubbys bro was getting married that year. no joke it cleared up my existing pimples that month and since then ive only gotten the occasional 3-4 pimples around that time of the month or wen im severely stressing. proactiv has made me confident enough to go out on a day to day basis doing errands or eating out with the family without any makeup. i do wear moisturizer and sunscreen n thats it when ever im feeling lazy. im not sure why proativ got such low scoring on MUA. im seriously a fan and will never stop buying this acne treatment. i swear by it to keep my adult acne at bay. a bit pricey but ill sacrifice other things just to have money for this skin care gem.
this isnt a true peach. its more of a pale pinky peach loooove how it looks on skin. texture is silky fine. definitely buildable but i find a few pats on da apples of my cheeks does the trick. im now a blush enthusiast n this has to be my fav blush in my collection.
love love LOVE this TM i needed a tm to combact the summer heat and not hv to feel like my face is melting off by midday. i alrdy was using stila sheer tinted moisturizer but bought dat wen i had my winter skin now its a tad light so i was looking for a new tm dat didnt cost in da 20s. found this one read da reviews not da greatest reviews but i saw a quite a few comments on da surprisingly medium coverage. bought da shade in medium been using it for one week now i kicking myself in da butt for not buying this sooner. AMAZING coverage for a tm more closer on da light liquidy foundation side than a reg moisturizer. a lot of ppl are saying it dried or flaked out on them dats why they wudnt repurchase however i find that if i use my olay complete all day moisturizer under the tm blends out really nicely i usually mixe a lil of the stila tm with it cuz im not that tan yet to be using da aveeno tm by itself after its blended i use my elf flat powder brush to set my BB pressed pwder in pale yellow over n im left with a lighter cleaner less cakey heavy feeling face. because i tend to get oily as da day progress i do use powder for touches but dats no big deal. sometimes if im actually doing makeup i use a da garnier tinted concealer eye roller thingy to hide da dark circles. i had really bad acne during my teen years and i find this tm mixed with a lil stila tm together hides my acne scarring. my skin is acne prone but this hasnt broken me out at all. in fact im sure its help gotten rid of da recent breakout i had due to sweating soo much while wearing my baremineral foundation. plus i felt it was a waste using my bareminerals during summer becuz of da sweating. i got this for around $10 at cvs. had a coupon. love the cute packaging. pump is a bonus. my new HG TM i hope they never dc this. will def rebuy but ill wait for the sales n coupons first:)

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - EyeStudio Color Plush quad in Green with Envy
allthingsmakeupnbeauty 5/15/2011 10:11:00 PM
love this quad however i could do with a little less glitter. easy fix tho all u hv to do is tap your brush to get the excess glitter out although it could get annoying when youre applying makeup on at ur desk at work. its a little expensive at cvs but if u can get it from target its bout 3 bucks less. all in all i would rebuy i also hv give me gold n i plan to add sunset seduction to my collection soon.
