Mascara -Shiseido - Majolica Majorca Lash Gorgeous Wing
rated 4 of 5
allsouldoubt 2/15/2011 1:48:00 AM

This is my first Majolica mascara and it is surprising that it has such negative reviews. Basically, the mascara is supposed to provide feathery lashes so if you're looking for volume and thickening this is not the mascara for you. It gives me good length and holds my curl well. What I like best is it does not make my lashes crunchy or stiff. Though I do advise not wearing it on the bottom lashes because it is not oil resistant and I had issues with smearing because I do have oily skin. I am pleased with this product for an everyday look. I cannot wait to get my hands on the other two mascaras!

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast Fusion
rated 4 of 5
allsouldoubt 5/14/2010 9:54:00 PM

Overall, a decent product. Does not flake or make my lashes stiff. Slightly disappointed since it makes my curl fall a tad bit but not too much. Like everyone stated, it is pretty similar to the original LashBlast, but for me...I have never used the lengthening one. So, I feel no difference between the Original LashBlast and the Fusion. I would buy again, but next time I will purchase the original again so i can compare.

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Toasted
rated 5 of 5
allsouldoubt 4/20/2010 3:13:00 AM

This e/s is very impressive. I was a bit skeptical at first since most people complain UD e/s to be too glittery w/ lots of chunky fall out. But as I was browsing Sephora, this caught my eye. The texture is great...smooth, not chalky whatsoever. The color pay off is amazing, a neutral but still very visible on the lid. It has a somewhat metallic sheen to it. It is a light-mid tone bronze w/ brown &pinky purple undertones to it. Very unique as far as neutrals go in my opinion. I also do not agree that it is similar to NARS Kalahari. In the pan, yes they look very similar, but Kalahari is actually less brown and a little more peachy whereas Toasted is more brown with the cool/pink undertones to it. Nonetheless, I love this e/s and would definitely repurchase once I run out.

Eye Shadow -NARS - Brousse Duo
rated 3 of 5
allsouldoubt 4/17/2010 1:32:00 PM

This product has received great reviews, but I believe this product is an ok product. Mind you, yes...the colors are gorgeous. I was immediately drawn to this particular duo in glancing at the NARS counter. The brown sable color is fantastic, I love it. It goes on like a dream (when wet), but I am not as pleased with the purple shade. It's pigmented, but even with meticulous application & blending, it seems to disappear rather quickly. Also, when this e/s is used dry it's quite sheer. I expect a NARS e/s to be fully pigmented & great color pay off w/o needing to wet the product which I don't believe is the case for Brousse. I really wanted to love it. The colors are so beautiful, but it's not an easy product to work with. So sad to say, but I will not repurchase.

Eyeliner -Milani - Liquif'eye Metallic eye liner pencil -black
rated 5 of 5
allsouldoubt 4/10/2010 12:38:00 AM

Generally, I don't like pencil eyeliners. I find the performance of gel liners to be more of my preference, but this eyeliner has me reaching for it instead of my bobbi brown gel liner. It goes on really smooth, hardly any tugging. What i love the most is it is REALLY black, the color is deep and rich and smooth. I do not wear eyeliner on my waterline at all, but I did tight line with this and had no issues w/ raccoon eyes or slidding off into places I don't want eyeliner. I like this WAY better than my Revlon Colorstay eyeliner which I find to be not as smooth or rich in color, the only upper hand RC has over this is that it is mechanical, but I'll compensate for it's great performance. I bought a back up of this because I fear that it will have the same fate as Milani's eyeshadows that were discontinued. Overall, it is a great price for a good product. It is worth giving a try.

Mascara -Maybelline - Full 'N Soft Mascara
rated 5 of 5
allsouldoubt 3/28/2010 4:02:00 AM

For me, Full and Soft is perfect. It doesn't clump, lengthens my lashes, doesn't flake, inexpensive, and keeps my lashes soft. There is nothing more I hate than clumpy stiff flakey lashes. I tried this several years ago, and after many other tubes of mascara, I am still loving this one. It's a keeper in my collection. It's very black, the formula isn't too wet so it doesn't bring down my short asian lashes, and the packaging is normal. If you're looking for volume and a fake lash effect, I suggest you look somewhere else as Full and Soft is very natural but noticeable.

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Stylish Smokes in Natural Smokes
rated 3 of 5
allsouldoubt 3/28/2010 3:57:00 AM

This is an OK product and only worth buying in a sale. The lid color is chalky & chunks of glitter & it's not pigmented at all. Some say it is like satin taupe, but I feel that it is nothing close for the texture, pigmentation, and lasting power do not compare. The crease color & corner color are pretty decent. They're pigmented and I'm willing to use those. I tend to pick up the quad more for the highlight color...it's a matte cream color which I think is best for highlights since I do prefer matte over any other finish. I can make do w/ the crease & corner colors, I love the highlight color, and Maybelline needs to reformulate the lid color then it would be a perfect quad.

Makeup Brushes -MAC - #217 Blending
rated 5 of 5
allsouldoubt 3/28/2010 3:52:00 AM

Like everyone else, this works miracles for blending. It is worth every penny. It hasn't shed, the bristles are soft, does it's job, picks up product, distributes it well...I couldn't ask for more.

Liquid -Clinique - Superfit Foundation [DISCONTINUED]
rated 3 of 5
allsouldoubt 3/28/2010 3:48:00 AM

I went to Sephora and was recommended this. I personally don't love it. The color match is kind of off, I couldnt find a color that matched my skin well. But I picked up the closest I could get even tho its a bit light, but a bronzer can fix that. The packaging is ok. I paid $21 for it which isn't too shabby. But for me, it doesnt last long. After 4 hours, the color has slightly faded and I have an oil slick, which it specifically states that it fights to prevent that. It doesn't break me out. But I feel the poor lasting power makes this one a no go in my book. I'd rather fork out a couple more dollars for better quality & lasting power.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Pigment in Tan
rated 5 of 5
allsouldoubt 3/28/2010 3:44:00 AM

This is my favorite pigment. I use this on a regular basis. Although, it is not the most unique color in the world...I find the value of it is in its one of the most WEARABLE colors. Its great for the day and you can smoke it out at night. The pigmentation is superb, and for me, it lasts from the hour I put it on to the time I wash off my make up. It does get a little messy, but with care, a mess can be prevented. I'm sad MAC down sized the jars and are charging the same price. But I'd probably still buy a new one if needed.

Lipstick -MAC - Viva Glam II
rated 5 of 5
allsouldoubt 3/22/2010 11:06:00 PM

I was originally turned off by this color. But I put this over Spice l/l & I really like it. Its a nude color on my tan skin w/ peach/pinky undertones. I'd wear this everyday. I don't think this color is for everyone, but the pigmentation is great, not too drying, and worth every penny...it's worth a try tho!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Antiquitease - Earthly Riches
rated 5 of 5
allsouldoubt 3/20/2010 7:57:00 PM

I fell in love w/ this product. In reading these reviews (after I had purchased it but not tried it), I was a little bummed that I had bought an OK product. But in my opinion, this is an eyeshadow completely worth your money. Initially, i think mineralize eyshadows, don't buy, bad color payoff, etc. But I saw this at my CCO and I gave it a try. W/ one swatch the color pay off was intense, unique colors as well, and it didnt fade (I walked around a couple of other stores before purchasing it). I like to wear the greay during the day & I'll deepen it w/ the purple to go out. I love how my night look is in just one e/s compact. I would definately repurchase.

Eye Shadow -NYX - Champagne
rated 3 of 5
allsouldoubt 3/20/2010 7:53:00 PM

I think this is an OK e/s. I bought this b/c i though it resembled All that Glitters by MAC, but of course, I favor ATG over Champagne. This e/s fades, it is really soft so in traveling across CA, it has managed to break. The color pay off is great at first, but throughout the day even w/ a base or primer, it fades...i find that to be the biggest upset. I'll stick w/ All That Glitters.

Eye Shadow -NYX - Iced Mocha
rated 2 of 5
allsouldoubt 3/20/2010 7:49:00 PM

I wanted to love this, but unfortunately, I do not. I caved into the hype and in purchasing this, I'm very disappointed. It is not a dupe for satin taupe, I believe satin taupe has much better color pay off, is darker, and the formulation is much better. Iced Mocha is too light, and there is glitter which later falls out and ends up all over my cheeks. I paid about 5 dollars for it. I'd rather cough up another six for a MAC e/s.

Misc Beauty Tools -E.L.F. - Mechanical Eyelash Curler
rated 2 of 5
allsouldoubt 3/19/2010 11:41:00 PM

This product has its pros and cons. Pros, if you happen to get a good one...it works surprisingly well. Makes you wonder why its important to invest in an expensive one. It comes with a back up rubber thing and thats notable. But in my opinion, the cons out weigh the pros. I bought several of these lash curlers cause i was so fixed that they were all great quality, but i've come to find that it is not the case. Some have great curling power while others just crease your lashes leaving them looking broken. Some have the perfect resistance power while others are hard to pull together making it difficult to curl lashes neatly. It's just a 50/50 chance in buying these. Take your chances!
