Foundations -Cover Girl - Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation

Wow, was I surprised by how long this stuff lasts! I have oily skin and always look better in a matte finish, and this foundation goes on matte, stays matte, and stays on all day and evening, without any oxidation and without looking heavy or masklike. Usually a foundation that is genuinely long-lasting looks pretty gross after six hours, but I can put this on at 7:30 and it still looks good 12 hours later. I am sold!
Love, love, love! Red Door Aura opens up with fruits and citrus, then the fruitiness lingers as the bright and gentle florals develop. Certainly not in-your-face as the original can be. If I were to be remembered by one scent, I would like it to be this one. So, so feminine and sparkling.
Lip Gloss -Bath and Body Works - Liplicious Best Kiss

What a surprise to find a color-changing lipgloss that is so pretty and doesn't turn to some hideous pink! It is a slightly different texture than other Liplicious glosses, and after a few minutes turns a lovely light pink on my lips. It stays on longer than the others. In fact, if I wear it at bedtime, I wake up with pink glossy lips. Can't beat that. I ran right out and bought a second one in case they discontinued it, and I plan to stock up during the sale in June. It makes a good base color for other, more fleeting glosses because the color stays.
Lip Gloss -Bath and Body Works - Liplicious Lotta Colada

So pretty and so different from other Liplicious glosses. It looks very pale in the tube, almost a champagne color, but on the lips it has rose and gold shimmer and more color than you'd expect. It smells delicious and draws comments. Beautiful on top of lipstick or by itself. It doesn't wash me out like most lighter shades.
Magical! The bubble bath (which I use as shower gel), the triple moisture body cream, and the edt are all more scented than the mist or lotion. Tart and fruity berries drying down to soft, sweet vanilla musk. There's something special in the top notes that differs from most berry-laced fragrances. I would wear this in every season; it's not too warm or heavy, but has a beautiful sweetness. Love it.

The opening floral notes are lovely, especially the orange flower which reminds me of sherbet... I even get a whiff of the original's almond note at first, though it's not listed. But then it becomes pure sandalwood on my skin, and I don't care much for it. Eventually that softens into a woody vanilla-musk which is good, but not great. Bummed that I paid so much for it. EDIT: I'm enjoying it more; I just don't sniff deeply during the sandalwood stage, but the vanilla drydown is enjoyable and lasts well. Still disappointed that the florals don't last a little longer.
Mascara -Jordana - Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara

This stuff is crazy/awesome. It gives so much black length and volume that I can't fully open my eye until it dries, because it would get on the skin right under my eyebrows! Sheesh! I have the world's puniest lashes and this mascara makes me feel a little self-conscious about how vavoom my lashes are... Every time I see it at Walgreen's, I stock up because it's usually gone. I do wish it came in a waterproof version, but I haven't had any issues with it running. And the price is fantastic.

First I hated it, then I loved it... I tried this fragrance several years ago and couldn't stand it at all! Now, for whatever reason, I'm addicted to it. Every stage is lovely and it lasts about four hours on my skin. Tart/sweet fruits at first, and I can also smell the iris note immediately, which definitely jazzes it up. Then soft and sweet cake, followed by sandalwood and musk. YUM. Love getting a whiff of it on my clothes too. So good for these cold, wet, blustery days of fall and winter. A comfort scent; if was edible, it would be a comfort food. Edit: something not so good in the drydown is getting to me. Not reaching for this very much.

I was so anticipating this because of the notes listed, but when I tried both the sample and the bottle, it smelled delicious and lasted literally 10 minutes on my skin, tops. Maybe closer to 5, in truth. Disappointed. t EDIT: Tried it again and it lasted; maybe I just didn't give it a chance to develop the first time. It does take a few sprays to work its magic... also gets lots of compliments. There is an almost caramel edge to the drydown. I really, really like it.

Caramel, toffee, woody drydown, berry and a tiny whiff of flowers at first. The drydown fairly floats around me; love it! So perfect for fall and winter. Edit: I am falling in love with this fragrance more every day. The dry, warm almondy drydown is bliss.
Intoxicating stuff! I love, love, love the green/basil opening notes. Somehow they are beautiful on top of the fruity middle and sweet and woody drydown. This lasts about five hours on my skin. It's a rich, warm, sweet fragrance that brings holidays and carnivals to mind, and smells delicious on a scarf or shirt. There's a caramel vibe to it that makes it extra cozy without being suffocatingly sweet.
Styling Products -Suave - Professionals Captivating Curls Whipped Cream Mousse

NO CRUNCHIES! This mousse leaves hair soft and silky and frizz-free. The scent is nice and light. It adds volume and hydrates my hair, just like it claims. It's a must-have for curly styles.
Styling Products -TRESemme - Instant Heat Tamer Spray
allred 4/22/2011 3:02:00 PM
My favorite hair product; it actually does what it claims - protects, shines, smoothes (big time!), and it smells good but the smell doesn't linger. Easy to use, not sticky, hard to find in stock because it's always gone. When I can find it, I buy several bottles. No downsides to this at all.
Self Tanners -Hawaiian Tropic - Island Radiance Self Tanner
allred 4/8/2011 11:04:00 AM
THE best self-tanner I've used, hands down. It's "odor blocking technology" keeps the self-tanner scent way down, compared to others tanners. My bedroom doesn't have that stink anymore... Looks brown rather than orange... Very moisturizing... Less streaky and blotchy, especially when I used lotion on any dry skin first... Works quickly and lasts without weird fading patterns. I used the medium to dark shade and it looks much better on my fair skin than other tanners I've used. The lotion formula is easier to apply; I just have to be careful not to squirt out too much at once.
It's freezing and rainy again today; what a perfect day for a cozy comfort scent that other people really enjoy too... Delicious Cotton Candy actually smells better and lasts longer on me than Pink Sugar, which has a citrus and licorice aspect that I could do without. Just a little bit is enough to make me smile for the whole day. Yum. It doesn't get flat in the drydown either (like Pink Sugar does on my skin). And, it's very reasonably priced.
