Amazing pencil type brush, sooooo SOFT but yet packs a punch! this is great for applying eyeshadow on my lower lash line, i find that mac 219 scratches the hell outta my lower lash line and is soo painful to apply. this just works like a breeze, no tugging, it is hard to find, i had to order it from the website and shipping is crazy so i got LY34 and LY38B as well. pricey but total quality. if u had to get 1 brush from louise young, get LY13 for eye, and LY34 for face!
Conditioner -Matrix - Biolage Ultra Hydrating Conditioning Balm

this is my HG conditioner/mask! i wash my hair every other day now, thanks to dry shampoos! and this stuff works amazingly well to make my hair soooo soft and yet doesnt weigh it down. i go crazy when im 50% through the tub and will quick repurchase!
I love this! it has replaced Guerlain Parure extreme as my HG foundation! i use this in #1 and i'm N-20. it goes on beautifully (less runny than guerlain parure) and i find that it stays on my oily t-zone/ combi face pretty well. i'm not saying it doesn't melt, but it 'melt' graciously such that by mid-noon, i dont feel the crazy urge to bolt like crazy! i will lightly bolt with tissue until the end of my working day. loving it! great packaging, just that color selection is a bit odd.
I am crazy about this product! Buffy has seriously made a difference to my shower routine, it leaves me with such soft, moisturized (some may find it abit too greasy feeling..?) legs and hands, and at first i kinda hated the smell of this but it grows on me. everytime i use it, i feel like i'm stepping into the LUSH store. i have finished 1 of the small bar and have since repurchased the bigger bar. i tried aqua mirabilis, but it is slightly courser in terms of the scrubbing qoutient, but it does not moisturize as well, plus it smelt like peanut butter which i really hate in the shower. so BUFFY IS NOW MY HG, i cant live without it, altho it is pricey as hell because i go through a 100g bar in 2-3 weeks!
When I first tried this, I was honestly disappointed. It felt like I had to scrape the dry product off (Mac 266 didn't work too soft), and it applied very harshly and was hard to control. I love my Shu uemura hard brow pencil, still do. But I've learnt the trick with this powder, or rather wax brow product. Try using the brush it comes with but just light strokes on the powder and light long feather strokes across yr brow. Tilt the brush for a finer tip application and viola! Natural brows and last the whole day! Pricey and potentially hard to work with, I can use the darkish or middle dark brown shades but becos my brows are blackish, I prefer the darker shade. This will last forever, so I don't see why I'd repurchase. Lol. The Chanel compact looks amazing too, but super pricey for a brow product!
I just started my JC obsession or collecting Chanel makeup generally- when I first got this, my impression was dusty rose, I'm N15 so I have no idea how this will look on me.. I normally stick to pink blush, I have tonnes of them. This is a unique addition and I kind of use it when I want a toned down muted brownish pink contouring look on my cheeks, I use it like a bronzer and I am liking it! :) took a Lippie off for price. Highly pigmented and prob looks amazing on more tanned skintones
this is my 1st chanel lipgloss, i am such a chanel addict.. i love DiorAddict lipglosses still, but this is chanel, and i can't resist chanel! it is not sticky, i love the small brush it comes with (hate the doefoot types of applicators) - but basically, this gives a nice sheen, not much color payoff on my pigmented lips, but just the way i like it. my col commented that she liked how my lips look one day, and that was my 1st day trying this gloss out. i prob wont repurchase becos i never finish my glosses, and i have so many more glosses lying ard! but it is a lovely product!
Bronzers -Illamasqua - Bronzing Duo in Glint & Burnish
alicilera 5/6/2012 5:50:00 AM
this is my go-to bronzer atm - i tried chanel soleil de tan (too orangey?), sleek (too yellowy) and i like this best (EL's bronze goddess was not bad too) - it looks shimmery in the pan, but doesnt look shimmery when applied! not orangey or yellowy, just a nice light light brown shade, blends in well with blushers, i'm n-nc20, loving this in Glint/Burnish, if i want a lighter finishing, i blend both shades together. great packaging, loads of product.
Primer/ Corrector -Yves Saint Laurent - Touche Eclat (Radiant Touch)
alicilera 5/6/2012 5:35:00 AM
i have the YSL multi-action stick concealer in 01 , and i like that for more heavy duty coverage of undereye circles. the touche eclat, i think is more of an eye brightener, or highlighter for the undereye. it has a lighter consistency than the stick concealer for sure, and will not work to conceal your dark or puffy undereye circles, just brighten the area up. i use touche eclat in 02, usually concurrently with the concealer stick (afterwards) - and i like it ! on days where i dont feel like so much coverage, i can use touche eclat alone to brighten up the undereye area. very pricey, but awesome packaging!
this is my 1st burberry product, and i seldom buy makeup from the physical stores, mind u! lol. but there is only 1 burberry in singapore, and that is at Tangs Orchard, so i was all ready to order from harrods UK when i saw the burberry store locally, like DOH! I bought rosewood on the spot, it looks blah in the pan but once swatched, IT WAS MAJOR LOVEE! such a unique shade, lilac/shimmer/taupish/brown/subtle pink undertone, it is amazing! i plan to buy a few other burberry eyeshadows, once i decide on which colors, but the texture is so buttery soft, packaging is excellent, tonnes of product so i doubt i would ever have to repurchase!
I have been looking for a good concealer for my blemishes, or uneven skin tones and I have tried quite a few (Estée double wear, ysl, body shop, LM SC, etc) but they all slipped away by 2-4 hrs or goes on really cakey. I had hoped that I would not love the cdp cos it is CRAZZY EXPENSIVE! But I keep going back to the small sample of Beige that I have and eventually I cracked. I had to get the cdp because its lasting power is amazing! Does not work for undereyes (I use ysl for that), but love it for spot concealing. My color is ivory , the SA matched me to beige but it is ridiculously Orange/darkish so I'm glad I took a chance with ivory. I warm it up with my finger before applying and a little goes a longgg way.. It is 5 for product, 5 for price and 5 for packaging! Lol. Guess we get what we pay for! I'm n-nc20, I say this is defi more neutral undertones than beige, which is more orange/pink/salmonish.
Makeup Brushes -MAC - 263 Small Angle (Ox & Synthetic hair)
alicilera 4/27/2012 12:55:00 AM
This is one of those "WHY HAVENT I FOUND THIS EARLIER" or "HOW DID I SURVIVE WITHOUT THIS??" product!! Putting on gel eyeliner has never been easier, this has the right about of give, and firmness, the angle is perfect and i just freaking love this! This is not available in singapore, what a bummer! i had to order this from ebay but i LOVE IT SOO MUCH! i was considering 266, but this prob. fits my asian eyelids better. woohoo. HG!
Before i start , i must confess... i am a CHANEL-aholic! i love love love their illusion d ombres, and loose powder, but this... i'm half hearted. i love the packaging, it screams expensive and chic, but applying this 'lipstick' requires so much work. i have to layer over a sheer lip balm, before i can wear this. when i first used this, i thought i could wear it on its own but the color and finishing was so dry and awful :( after using a lip balm under it, it gives a sheer tint/sheen of bitten lips.. only get this if you are a BIG BIG CHANEL fan. lol
This eye brush is amazing!!! I use it more than Mac 239 and possibly competing with 217! I would never have thought to buy this tiny brush just that I got this frm a swap and I'm so glad I did! It introduces to me thE importance of a small shade/accent/smudge brush! I use this way over 219, which I found is abit scratchy For my lower lash line. I use this on inner corners, lower lash line ESP. And works v well! A good cheaper dupe is REal techiques' accent brush, which I just got and will use it for lining dark colors on lower lash line!
Sunscreen -Peter Thomas Roth - Uber Dry Sunscreen SPF 30
alicilera 4/16/2012 5:31:00 AM
I super love this sunblock! i have combi-oily skin and i am sooo afraid of sunblock that gives me a lot of shine.. i have tried avene, diorsnow, etc brands and no matter what, they add some level of shine! this will be very drying for those with normal to dry skin - and it is not intended for those skin types anyway! if u have oily/combi skin, sensitive, try this! coupled with chanel loose powder, it is the best oil control so far for me!
