I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this. I have dry, break-out prone skin, and this is one of the few moisturizers I am able to use without breakig out. It soaks in and doesn't leave a greasy residue yet feels very moisturising. I've just ordered a few more jars as a back up. The smell to me is light and inoffensive. The price is £ 3.99 but thebodyshop uk usually offer 20% or 30% discount codes so it's in fact very reasonably priced.
Cleansers -The Body Shop - Passionfruit Cleansing Gel

I love this. I have very dry skin and this isn't drying at all. Cleanses fairly well, no breakouts, feels refreshing, etc. So far so good. And it's cheap compared to other products by the body shop. 250 ml for under £4.
Crème -Avon - Ideal Shade Cream-To-Powder Foundation w/SFP 15

I really liked how fast and easy it was to apply, the medium coverage, the good lasting power (around 5 hours) the colour (nude). Unfortunately it made my dry skin look even drier and made the flakiness even more noticeable.
I have been using this for a couple of months and while i think it's a decent serum I'm not all that impressed and I won't be repurchasing. It didn't cause any brakeouts and my skin is very prone to them so that's a huge plus. It feels nice going on and soaks in right away. Now for the cons: i didnt notice any improvement in my skin whatsoever. I wasn't expecting anything major anyways but i was hoping for more even skin tone and it didn't deliver. Also it's not very hydrating I know it's not supossed to be but still, i wish it were. Anyways, not sure if it's worth investing in.
Moisturizers -Neal's Yard - Power Berry Moisturiser

I was really excited to try this moisturiser. Unfortunately it didn't work well as a face cream but I am now using it on the rest of my body and it works great for that. On my face though it left an uncomfortable, waxy feeling and it wasn't particularly moisturizing. The smell is inoffensive, kinda minty. Didn't cause irritation or breakouts.
I agree with the reviewer who said this was very drying. I only used it once and my face and hands felt really dry and dehydrated.
Lip Gloss -E.L.F. - Plumping Lip Glaze - Ruby Kiss
alice_alice 8/14/2010 4:47:00 AM
I haven't used this lip gloss much. To me it's just a lip gloss. The so called plumping side doesn't do any pumping but it does give a cooling, minty sensation. The color side fades in a matter of minutes. And the tube is actually on the small side and you don't get a lot of product. But for £1.5 it's not a big deal. I'll probably finish the tube but will not repurchase.
I love, love, love these. I have the minis in pink. Certainly worth the £10 i paid. They provide very good and precise grip without being too sharp.
Moisturizers -Superdrug - Illuminating Moisture Cream SPF 15
alice_alice 5/13/2010 8:41:00 AM
I wanted to add this product because well..it's fantastic. A light day moisuriser with SPF protection. Lovely light fragrance that doesn't linger. And the best part ... it only cost me 1.22£ (even at full price 2.44£ it's a steal) Yup that's right! I can highly recomend this for most skin types (except maybe very dry and very oily ones) A word of warning: it contains mica so it leaves a light sheen on the skin, so if you don't wanna sparkle (a very, very subtle sparkle) this is not for you :-). Superdrug also make a regular version of this product which is very similar without the illuminating part which i also use and like. I obssesively research the ingredients of the products I use. If someone else is intersted this is what's in this one: Aqua, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Phenoxyethanol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Pentylene Glycol, Sodium Lactate, Lactic Acid, Serine, Urea, Sorbitol, Sodium Chloride, Allantoin, Mica,Silica, Dimethiconol, Alcohol Denat., PEG-35 Castor oil, Polysorbate 20, Aesculus Hippocastanum Extract, Retinyl Palmitate, Inositol, Calcium Pantothenate, Linoleic Acid, Biotin, Carbomer, Parum, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Disodium EDTA, Coumarin, Linalool, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Alpha-isomethyl Ionone, Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Butyl[araben, Propylparaben, Isobutylparaben, CL 77891.
I had high hopes for this. Unfortunately after a weeks daily use it started to irritate my skin causing painful red patches on my cheeks and forehead. I am really disappointed as I liked the creamy texture.

Great for hair
Cleansers -Bioderma - Sensibio H2O (aka Crealine H20 Solution micellaire)
alice_alice 2/16/2010 8:27:00 PM
This did not work for me. It works well as eye makeup remover and it's gentle but It didn't cut it as a cleanser for the rest of the face. It just didnt get my skin clean enough.
Cleansers -Clinique - Liquid Facial Soap Extra Mild
alice_alice 2/11/2010 7:01:00 PM
This is probably the worst skincare product I have ever wasted money on. I agree with the other reviewers about the burning sensataion. It was very unpleasant and I have no idea what was causing it as the ingredients list looked nice. The worst part was that it did NOT clean AT ALL and I tried different ways of applying it. It was useless, I threw it away.
This was too drying for my skin. Also I am not sure if it really removed make up/ impurities too well. I'm glad I only bought the small bottle ( 6£) as right now I am reluctantly using it as a body wash. And the smell is too strong and plastic-y.
Sunscreen -Mustela - High protection sun lotion 50 - bebe/enfant
alice_alice 2/11/2010 6:47:00 PM
EDIT: Just to iterate this is VERY white and although some of the whiteness disappears after a while I can't use it everyday during the summer. I think it's easier to go with the geisha look in the winter :-). I want to stick with mineral filters so next I'll try Lavera's sunscreens. I am using the 100% mineral version. My skin does not like chemical filters as I recently discovered and this is the best mineral one I have found. Yes, it is very white. I mix it with some moisturiser (Mustela Stelatopia Moisturizing cream) and I apply it like that. It needs to be massaged in for a few seconds. After that I apply some powder and some blush and that's all. I like that it's very non-irritating, aslo it's fragrance free but there is no weird sunscreen smell that I can detect. It has I think more of a mat finish but then again my skin is pretty dry. I'm not sure if it's suitable for anybody with darker skin due to the slight white cast.
