I think this powder would have as high of a rating on here as it does everywhere else if people understood the product better. This is a real skin powder. It is designed to suspend over your skin so you look perfect, without sinking into fine lines or wrinkles. It does its job- perfectly. It has spf, and an antibacterial, so it actually protects and improves the tone and texture of your skin as you wear it, especially if you are acne prone. It is perfect for all skin types. **Addressing common complaints: If you look ashy- you have the wrong color. Try to get color matched by a professional. If they do not have a color that matches, use something else. The wrong color is never flattering, especially in something this pigmented. Very dry/very oily, or combination skin- This powder will not fix your skin type. It will only make you look perfect. It works in part with your skin care. If your skin is too dry/too oily when you put this on, it will not stay. It is almost powder to cream foundation, and will simply look like perfect skin. Use a primer, like the POREfessional (oily skin) or That Gal (dry skin) if you want it to stick. With most people, a regular oil control or moisturizing lotion before will do the trick. You do have to prep your skin with something. The amount: This is a normal compact size; however, Mac and Clinique have some compacts almost double the size. Mac and Clinique, however, use less pigment, and will damage/clog pores, and feel heavy with most people. This feels like nothing, and because of the pigment, you only need a little bit. My own experience: This foundation changed my life. I use it as a concealer, powder, and foundation and it looks wonderful on me. People compliment my skin all the time, and are surprised when I tell them I have something on. I have acne prone sensitive skin, and the anti bacterial in this keeps it clear! I can fall asleep in it, and my skin looks better the next day. It lasts me through a nine hour shift at work, and I still look fresh- no touch ups! You can't feel it at all when you are wearing it. It blends beautifully and lends great coverage. The only thing it doesn't do is pay your bills and do your taxes. All my friends wear it now because they loved it on me, and I get to see it on them every day, and they all look perfect. They get compliments all the time too. Overall, if you're smart about your skin care and how you prep your skin, this is a brilliant product, and I truly believe everyone should use it.

Cleansers -Neutrogena - Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Facial Cleanser

I love this stuff. I have sensetive combination skin that likes to break out. I am a server and in college, and the combination of being in a hot oily kitched and stress from classes really does a number on my skin. I've been using this for three weeks, and the tone and texure of my skin has improved dramatically. All my whiteheads are gone! It smells great. I love this stuff. It can be a little drying, but if you have a good moisturizer (like any of the aveeno products), you should be fine. It also contains many plant extracts besides grapefruit, so if you have sensitivities to any of those, you might get red spots, but it's not common. I tend to use it once a day, or every other day when my skin is congested, and I use it with a facial brush or a little baking soda. Overall, a great product if you need something to clear up and occasional breakout.

Shampoo -TiGi - Self Absorbed Shampoo

Growing up, both of my parents loved this. They liked to work out, and my mother had very fine hair that would often get greasy. My dad, on the other hand, had hair that was very dark and curly. When I was twelve, I tried this in their shower on my wavy, normally textured hair and fell in love with it too. We all loved this shampoo, even though our hair differed greatly in composition. What you can expect from this shampoo is clean, refreshed hair, plenty of moisture, and lots of shine. It has a lot of nutrients, and it really shows in the quality of your hair over time. If you have thin hair that greases easily, it will clean your hair and make it feel nice again; if you have curly or drier hair, it works well in combination with moisture maniac, a TiGi conditioner. You probably shouldn't use this shampoo if you have especially dry, damaged, or aged hair for the simple fact that there are better products out there. If you have normal hair, however, this will make your locks look lustrous, lush and wonderful. Try it. You won't be disappointed.

Moisturizers -Aveeno - Ultra-Calming Daily Moisturizer SPF 15

I really love this moisturizer. It feels incredibly smooth while applying, and keeps my skin moist without shine all day. It has never caused me to break out, and my skin glows when I wear it. I even wear it to bed, I love it so much. I understand that different things work for different people; I think this works so well for me because I have combo/dry acne prone very fair skin. If you skin is anything like that, I'm sure this product would be wonderful for you.

Cleansers -Aura Cacia - Grapeseed Oil

Grape seed oil is great for those who want to deter aging and have skin that is anywhere from lightly acne prone to very dry. It is not recommended for oily skin. I really love using this on my face. You can find it almost anywhere, and it is inexpensive. I buy the extra virgin, as it has the most nutrients. When looking for any food grade oil to put on your face, it is best to go for the clearest oil in color, because it will have the least pore clogging particles. Since I've been using it, it's greatly improved the look, quality, and texture of my sensitive, combo/dry and acne prone skin. I put it on as an inexpensive serum at night (you only need a daub), and wake up glowing. The best place to use it is under your eyes. Under eye moisturizing is it's traditional use, and it does wonders while you sleep. My eyes used to be dry and tired, and now I use this and they always feel great. Some of the lines that used to be there have been cured, and my make up goes on so much smoother in the morning. I just love how many benefits there are to this, and how many uses, especially since it is so inexpensive and natural. Quick tip: It is also better to use than olive oil while cooking, as olive oil can become carcinogenic at it's smoking point (which is low). Things taste the same, but are healthier, lower in calories, and will not create negative compounds in your food. Give it a try!

Crème -L'Oreal - magic smooth souffle

I am usually a mineral makeup user (Alima mostly, I also like the maybelline pressed powder), so buying this for me was different. I just really liked the pink lid on the packaging, and I needed a change. I applied this with my fingers. I thought about using a foundation brush, but I figured fingers might be funner. I have used maybelline mousse and cover girl, as well as various dept. store make ups (clinique, lancome, etc). This was by far superior. Application was smooth, with a satin matte finish. I used no. 3, the lightest cool toned color, and it felt nice to put on. I couldn't feel it on my skin at all the entire time I was wearing it. I also had it on for 10 hours, and I got more compliments on my skin then I have ever had in my life. I didn't have the fade out problem. I have moderate combination skin, and I use the maybelline pressed mineral powder when I get a tad shiny (which did happen with this foundation). The first day, I went to a party and went to bed late without washing off my foundation. I woke up with 3 new pimples. After that, I washed my face before I went to bed, and my face was fine. It's actually a little moisturizing, and has improved the quality of my skin over the past two weeks. Usually, foundation breaks me out if it's not Alima (I can sleep in that and not break out just fine). Overall, this is a great foundation. As long as your skin isn't too oily or ridiculously (and I mean that seriously, as I'm real acne prone and it only breaks me out if I sleep in it) acne prone, this would be a great everyday foundation. It evens skin tone, hides flaws, and makes you look totally natural while feeling weightless. You won't even know it's there.

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Falsies

Dude this mascara is so cute. I love the packaging. The formula is good too, it's good for length and definition, as well as volume if you work it long enough. It makes your lashes really big. For a really balanced effect, use this with the colossal lash (similar packaging, but yellow).

It covers really well, stays put, and matches exactly (I'm really light and cool toned). The service was fine. The problem I have with this product is that my skin doesn't like it. Wearing it, it's fine until I accidentally sleep in it, or wear it for multiple days in a row. It takes about a week or two to make me start breaking out like crazy. I have combo mild acne prone skin, and I think the only thing I can use is Alima. I'm about to try Afterglow (even though it's crazy expensive) just to check it out. But I do love Alima. It's pretty much my hg.

Blush -Alima - Luminous Shimmer Blush in Dianthus

Love the look and feel on my C2-C3 skin. I use this in the summer when my skin is darker as a bronzer, because it is really a cool toned rosy bronzer, not a blush. As long as you keep that in mind, it's amazing- on cheek bones, temples, legs and shoulders too. Really glad I found this; it's hard to find a good bronzer for cool toned skin.

Blush -Alima - Satin Matte Blush in Apple Blossom

HG blush. I have cool toned skin (MAC nw 20-25, alima pure C2 to C3) and this color is perfect for that gorgeous yet completely natural healthy pink cheek look. Amazing color. The nice thing about Alima Pure blushes is the texture, and the fact that the matte will actually help hide acne as opposed to shimmery ones that help point it out. It is a smooth, creamy formula that glides on, looks gorgeous, and lasts all day.

Amazing. My mom got me this for christmas, and I can honestly say this is the only makeup thing I have used until it was dead and gone, then kept the packaging and needed more immediately. I break out from everything- but this. It covers amazingly, is very forgiving, and mont blanc is perfect for my light cool toned skin. I love this foundation.

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Argan oil

I love argan oil. I got organic oil (2 oz for $30 with pump) off of amazon, and I am in love. I have EXTREMELY acne prone skin with scarring that breaks out from everything, yet is still easily dried out and sensetive. I mix this with my aveeno moisturizer in the morning and at night, and it's improved my skin amazingly over the last few weeks. My skin is plumper, luminous, softer, moisturized, and I break out less. I have less pimples and my scars have even begun to heal. This product is amazing. If you have any sort of skin issue, buy it. The type I have is Eden Allure Fairly Traded Organic Morrocan Argan Oil. It is clear, has no smell, and cleared up my skin. It has never, ever made me break out. EVERYTHING else does.

The thing I love about this foundation is how my skin feels after I take it off. Besides that, it broke me out a little, didn't cover very well, and dried out my sensetive combo/dry skin. It is a decent product, but it wasn't the product for me.

Best thing ever. Clears up my skin, adds radiance, and if I want to sleep over somewhere or go out after I've taken my make up off, I feel confident since this gives light coverage and takes away shine. It's also hassle free since you go to bed in it. This is an amazing product!

Powder -Alima - Satin Matte Mineral Foundation

HG. It hasn't made me break out! yay! The packaging is also adorable, and I am a sucker for cute packaging ;) As far as coverage, it covers all my discoloration and acne perfectly, and my family can't even tell I'm wearing make up. It's really comfortable, has really good staying power, and is the perfect color (C2). Overall, it's just a really great foundation. The product is also packed it super tight, so it's almost like using a compact. I took the sifter off of mine and use a flocked sponge to apply.
