Treatments -The Body Shop - Seaweed clarifying night treatment
rated 4 of 5

I'm a bit hesitant to try night treatments and just moisturizer/creams/serums in general because it seems as though EVERYTHING breaks me out. Anyway, I bit the bullet and tried this. I ended up really liking it! My face is not a complete oil slick afterwards (as it usually is when I put anything on it), and even though I don't think this moisturizes a whole lot, it does not dry me out either. Overall, I really like everything in the sea weed line and I highly recommend it for people with really oily/acne prone skin.

Bronzers -NARS - Laguna

I found this to be way too glittery to put all over my face! The glitters/micro glitters or what have you are quite obvious if you use this all over. However, for contouring, the colour is just right when I apply with a light hand :) for reference, I am an NC 30 :)

Mascara -L'Oreal - Telescopic Explosion in Blackest Black

This product is amazing :)!! The formulation really accentuates my lashes. Some people even ask me if I'm wearing falsies and when I say no- I always tell them to buy this. It lasts a really long time without drying up. The only thing is, it doesn't give much volume. I would say it's more of a lengthening mascara- so if you're lacking in length, get this!

Misc Beauty Tools -Shu Uemura - Eyelash Curler
rated 5 of 5

Prior to purchasing the Shu Uemura, I've owned two Revlon eye lash curlers and they were great. The shape is exactly the same as my Revlon ones and I was initially very upset at this because I thought I bought the exact same thing for twice the price. But for some reason, this works a lot better. I -might- consider repurchasing.

Eyeliner -Maybelline - Lineworks Waterproof Liquid EyeLiner in Black
rated 2 of 5

This product wasn't so bad when I first purchased it. Over time, the applicator begins to... 'erode' kind of and it doesn't maintain its original form. It sort of starts to break off and gets all deformed. As for the eyeliner itself, it's not very good at all and I strongly suggest not wasting your time/money with this. It is extremely runny. If you just dab a little bit on your hand, you can see globs of water. The colour pay off isn't that good- it is not fully BLACK so I find myself going over it again but when I DO go over it, the applicator sort of erases what was previously there- it's kind of weird to explain but it's as though i'm like cleaning something with a sponge and the more I try to clean, the dirtier it gets.

Eyeliner -Maybelline - Line Stiletto liquid eyeliner
rated 3 of 5

I got this in 'Blackest Black' and let me tell you- it definitely was NOT the blackest black... the colour, in my opinion fades really easily. It has horrid pigmentation (if any). The consistency is OK a little bit too runny. The only good thing I would say is the applicator. It is really easy to use, it's soft, and it's an actual FELT tip. I know there's lots of eyeliners out there that claim the applicator is felt tip when really it's some hard stick that feels like a toothpick.

Liquid -Revlon - Beyond Natural Skin Matching Makeup SPF 15
rated 4 of 5

This is really good for a drugstore product. It sort of has tinted moisturizer kind of feel to it which I like. It's very light and if applied properly, I assure you you won't look like you're wearing make-up at all. The most important part is to choose your colour correctly, otherwise- this can go from great product to downright awful. So please make sure you get the right shade! There's a LOT of variety so that shouldn't be too hard. I got lucky and nabbed the right shade the first time I got it :)

Pressed Powders -Maybelline - Dream Matte Pressed Powder
rated 1 of 5
alelles 6/5/2010 6:53:00 PM

I'm really surprised about all the great reviews on this product because I think it's simply awful. The only good thing about this is probably the packaging. The actual consistency of the product itself is very chalky and feels really rough. It doesn't glide on smoothly, I feel as though I have to put layers and layers of powder on my face to get some form of colour pay-off. Overall, really bad. Would not repurchase/recommend!

Powder -Maybelline - Mineral Power Powder Foundation
rated 2 of 5

I found this hard to work with, the colour gets sort of... mucky over time- like dirt. It clumps up like dirt, the kabuki brush is awful. So basically, if you're bored and feel like being a little kid again playing with dirt/sand and all, then I suggest you purchase this.

Concealers -NYX - Full Coverage Concealer Jar
rated 2 of 5
alelles 6/5/2010 6:44:00 PM

This is probably the first concealer I have bought. Some good things about this product, it's nice and portable, the consistency is good (you do have to blend it out a lot) and also, it smells surprisingly good (in my opinion, anyway). The colour, however- is horrid which is why I have avoided using this for quite a while now and am in search of a new concealer. It does match my skin somewhat but the shade that I got (medium) gives off a really obvious orange/yellow undertone which I really dislike. I think it brought even more attention to my under-eye! So all in all, it's a good, cheap steal but as for quality: NEGATIVE.
