Hair -Pureology - HydraCure- Moisture Hair Masque
rated 5 of 5

My hair was so dry and crispy all of the sudden! I was horrified-my hair didn't even feel like hair anymore. It was awful. I have long fine highlighted hair that is prone to breakage. I don't know if it was just the cold weather or if I over did it with the protein, but my hairdresser said she had never seen myhair look that bad :c She charged me $18 to do a deep conditioning treatment in the salon and I found out later that this is what she used. I kind of feel ripped off that she didn't just tell me to buy this in the first place but whatever. I did buy this and it has brought my hair back to life! I alternate between the green and the yellow pureology shampoo and use this mask in place of conditioner once a week. I leave it on for 5 min with a shower cap on and it provides amazing results. I am sorry to hear that this does not work for some people, but my hair really loves this. I would suggest that anyone with dry hair who is curious to try this but hesitant to shell out the cash, just buy it at ULTA like I did. I used a 20% off coupon and if you don't like it you have a month to return it.

I didn't like this at all. My hair is long, straight, fine and highlighted. I put this on in the shower in place of my regular kenra conditioner and left it on for about 5 minutes. Afterwards, my hair felt dry and my scalp was itching slightly. I don't know what it is but my hair does not like some ingredient in this conditioner.

Foundations -Unlisted Brand - Lucy Minerals Foundation

I love this foundation! I first discovered this product here on MUA and it only had 8 or so reviews. Now there are almost 200 so I am glad that this product has been discovered by so many people. I am putting the word out- this is HG for me. I have crazy-sensitive breakout prone skin that reacts to everything. I have been using Bare Minerals for about 6 years and now I realize that was what was causing me problems. I determined I am sensitive to the bismuth oxychloride. With Bare Minerals I would get little clusters of clogged pores in small patches. For years my skin wasn't horrible but it never really looked good with all of the clogged pores. I experimented with switching out my cleansers, night cream etc. in hopes of finding the culprit. I ordered samples of this foundation and sat on it for about 4 months before trying it out because I was afraid it would break me out even more. When I finally tried it my skin was instantly better. It wears beautifully if you are careful not to apply too much. My skin is looking so good now it is a miracle. I have no new clogged pores and the ones I had are disappearing. I have been using this for about a month now and my only regret is that I didn't try it sooner! I use Cream in the Lucy Light formula, I was using Golden Fair in Bare Minerals. Good Luck and thank you MUAers for turining me on to this amazing product!

This didn't do anything to help my bluish under eye circles. If you don't have a really bad problem with dark circles this may work for you.

Oh what a difference a tan makes! I didn't love this when I was pale (NC 15) but now that I am tan this is a great color. It is a very pretty kind of pinkish/reddish/coral fruit punch color? I like it a lot but its not my favorite. I love Essie's Geranium the most.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Dabur Amla Oil

It really does smell terrible- somebody said old lady dollar store perfume. That is EXACTLY what it smells like! Aside from the horrible smell this worked very well to impart shine and manageability to my long, fine color-treated hair. This really did deliver results and for this I am willing to put up with the smell. What I am not willing to put with however, is the fact that this green oil was turning my blond highlights to an ugly golden brassy color. I threw this stuff away and started using the Dabur Vatika oil. That stuff is awesome. It works way better at conditioning my hair, its a clear oil and is smells kind of good. That oil is my HG after every color treatment I have done and I highly recommend. Bonus: its only $4!

Blush -NARS - Cream Blush in Penny Lane

I am fair cool toned blonde with some redness in my cheeks and this is such a beautiful natural looking flushed color on me. Unfortunately this broke me out in little clogged pores and a few new blackheads. Probably because talc is the first ingredient? I don't know it maybe something else in there that is causing acne but I won't be using this again.

Bronzers -Bare Escentuals - Faux Tan all-over face color
rated 1 of 5

This is a great color for my light skin-its not orange like Warmth was on me. Unfortunately this is what has been breaking me out. I have used this for almost two years for contouring and didn't realize this was what was causing it. Not huge horrible zits, but I was breaking out in very small clusters of skin colored bumps along my jawline and in the hollows along the sides of my face. I didn't attribute it to this product because I also used it along the top of my forehead and down my nose and never once got a pimple in either of those places. When I quit using it three weeks ago I noticed a dramatic improvement in my skin. Now the bumps I had learned to live with are all almost completely gone. I will avoid this product like the plague forever and ever!

Mascara -Maybelline - Great Lash Lots of Lashes
rated 1 of 5

I hated this. I think the brush is difficult to manage and unnecessarily bulbous. It leaves a little clump at the end of almost every lash and worst of all its spidery. Awful mascara. I love Maybelline Full n Soft.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Healthy Hoof

I am so excited that I can finally declare something HG! This is it for sure and I've tried everything to make my nails grow- Biosil, calcium pills, jello, Nailtiques, Solar oil, jojoba oil mixed with vitamin E oil, about every sally hansen nail growth thing on the market...The greatest thing that I had found before discovering this was called Hard as Hoof. Its in a little white jar with a bright green label at WalMart for around $5. That product was amazing but this Healthy Hoof is 10x better. I like this product better because it is sooo much thicker than the other and that makes it last A LOT longer. And this is cheaper- about $4 at CVS ($4!). To get the results with the other cream I was buying a jar every week and a half to two weeks. This new product has lasted me a month so far and its only half gone. The other cream smelled good but this one smells amazing- like someone else said lavender- which I love at bed time. My nails look amazing- so strong and healthy. I put a thick layer on my hands and nails at bed time and saw results within in a few days. Also works great as a hand cream during the day. Highly Recommend!

Foundations -Maybelline - New Instant Age Rewind
rated 2 of 5
aladie 10/19/2011 7:49:00 PM

I RAN out and bought two of these after reading the reviews here. No luck :( I bought the brightener and the medium shade concealer. The medium is way to dark/muddy for my light skin. I wear no. 2 in YSLs touche eclat and medium in Benefits Erase Paste so that is why I bought this in medium. I cant comment on the coverage/wearability of the med. concealer because i never even put it on my under eye area after swatching it on the back of my hand and seeing how dark it was. I did use the brightener for a few days and it really irritated my eyes. Of course I am careful not to get the product into my eyes when applying but it somehow migrates there throughout the day? I had an eye exam the other day and my eye doctor said my eyes looked irritated. She looked into my eyes with a light and said there was a glittery oil-based film over my eyes. It was from this brightener product I am sure. She gave me an eye wash and I quit using this product immediately. My eyes have been fine ever since. I am going to roll the dice and try this concealer in the fair and light shades next but the brightener went in the trash.

Top/Base Coats -Seche Vite - Dry Fast Top Coat
rated 1 of 5
aladie 9/25/2011 11:22:00 AM

Not only will I never buy this again but I threw a full bottle in the trash. This stuff is awful. I agree with others that it looks gleaming and beautiful At First but it doesnt last and actually ruins my paint job!? My polish peels off along with the top coat in one layer. Sally Hansen Ultimate Shield is awesome.

Concealers -Tarte - Dark Circle Defense Under Eye Corrector ] [DISCONTINUED]
rated 2 of 5
aladie 9/22/2011 1:01:00 AM

This worked ok covering my horrendous dark circles and that is saying A LOT...but I returned it because something in it irritated my eyes. I have to say it does have good staying power because as the day wore on my dark circles didn't look so bad- but my itching burning red eyes looked terrible! Try this out and if it doesn't irritate your eyes you may have found an HG under eye concealer. For the time being my Pixi eye brightening peach is the best thing I have found that works for me so far.

Conditioner -Alberto Vo5 - Kiwi and Lime Squeeze Clarifying Conditioner
rated 2 of 5
aladie 8/21/2011 11:44:00 PM

This did nothing for me as a conditioner. I have long fine color treated/heat styled/somewhat damaged hair. However I love this as a shave cream! I can even use it with the cheap pink disposal razors rather than my beloved $Venus$ razor and have no nicks or irritation. I love saving that extra money! I will buy this again for sure.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Hard As Hoof Nail Strengthening Cream
rated 4 of 5
aladie 7/16/2011 2:51:00 AM

This really works! I literally have a drawer full of wasted products that I have bought to try to strengthen my nails (Nailtiques, Solar Oil, Bio Oil, everything by Sally Hansen ect.) This really does produce results in a matter of days. I used it 2-3x throughout the day, and then a nice thick coat before bed. By day 4, I had that treasured moment of looking down at my hands while I was at work and thinking, "Wow! My nails look fantastic!" Unfortunately, this only works as log as you keep using it. The day after I quit using it my nails were back to peeling. All that I had worked so hard for was wasted! All that time and energy and I am back at square one. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. This is something that I would recommend using before a big event like a wedding or something but it is not the cure all that I was hoping for.
