Lipstick -NARS - Schiap

This is a really bright, hot pink/fuschia lipstick. It makes your mouth pop. Since I am fair-skinned, I feel like it does wash me out slightly, but I always have that problem with very bright or dark lipsticks. I think using a lip liner before applying is a must, because the lipstick is so pigmented that any mistakes out of the "lines" will really show. It is matte, so I make sure to exfoliate my lips well beforehand, or the application is not as pretty in my opinion. Very high quality, very pigmented, very semi-matte lipstick. It is a definite "look at me" color.

I absolutely love this foundation! It is full-coverage, so I don't feel like I need to spot treat areas with concealer as I would with other foundation. I do find that it looks streaky on my nose when I use a brush, so I use my fingers to apply on and around the nose area. And if I am too heavy-handed on my forehead, I feel it settles into my fine lines. It has a nice satin finish-its matte, but yet with a slight glow. It helps control my oil, and does not break me out. It really makes your skin look flawless. If you are used to wearing a light coverage foundation, this is probably not for you. I think one to two pumps can cover your whole face, so the product lasts quite awhile. The packaging is nice with the pump, and the design is aesthetically pleasing. I am extremely frustrated however that it’s never available, and no one has a clear answer as to when it will be restocked. If they do restock and continue to sell, I will never switch foundations. The L 46 is a perfect match for my skin.

Blush -NARS - Orgasm Blush

I think this blush is beautiful on my fair skin. If I use a light hand it adds a pretty warmth to my cheeks, or if I want a more dramatic look, I can build it up. Normally I dislike blushes with shimmer in them as they tend to accentuate my large pores, but I don't find that this one does. I do think that if you have any acne on your cheeks, the blush tends to accentuate it. I usually go over any spots with a dab of concealer though, so it isn't much of an issue for me. I have very acne-prone skin, and after wearing this almost every day for the past two months, I haven't broken out. I feel like there is a lot of product in the pan. I wear makeup about six days a week and it appears there is still a lot of product left.

Highlighters -BeneFit Cosmetics - Watt's Up!

I always apply highlighter after I have set my foundation with powder. Since this product is creamy, I have a hard time blending it nicely, and I tend to look like I have a stark streak of highlighter on my cheekbones rather than a nice glow. Wherever I place it, it seems to stick and not move, making it unblendable and streaky. I may try powdering after I apply the highlighter to see if I can blend it into my foundation more seemlessly. Its very pretty, but I prefer a powder highlighter as I think it looks more natural than this. This highlighter is very shimmery on my fair skin.

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup

I haven't used a liquid foundation in years (I primarily use a mineral foundation), but I wanted to try this foundation to see if it would keep my oil at bay. I purchased the oily/combo formula in the lightest shade. It matches my skin tone perfectly, and it blends nicely. It does not transfer onto my clothing or my earrings that might brush against my cheek during the day. I have extremely acne-prone skin, and initially it gave me a few tiny bumps here and there, but nothing major. It covers redness and imperfections really well but isn't super heavy. You can build up the coverage easily if need be. I also do not have to blot or powder until much later in the day while wearing this product. Normally I would be oily after one hour of applying my makeup, but I can go for at least five with no shine. I do not have a problem taking it off in the evenings like others have mentioned. I do use a mild exfoliant each night before my cleanser however, so that is probably helping to take most of it off. I don't love the packaging as it would be nice to have a pump, but its not a make or break for me. I will definitely be repurchasing.

Top/Base Coats -Orly - Bonder Rubberized Basecoat

I love this product! I usually have polish chip off within the first day or two of painting my nails but I can get about a week of wear with this product. I put a coat on each nail and allowed fifteen minutes to pass before I put on polish. I then used OPI nail polish, so I am not sure if that aids in the no chipping? I have yet to use this product with an inexpensive polish, so I don't know if it would hold up as well in that case. I used one coat of Bonder, two coats of polish, and topped off with Orly's Won't Chip topcoat. I allow fifteen minutes of dy time between each coat, and I really think that is key to helping your manicure last.

Loose Powders -E.L.F. - Studio High Definition Powder

I ordered this powder from E.L.F.'s website, and when I opened the package, a quarter of the product had fallen out. The plastic piece that covers the holes was still in tact, so I am not sure how that happened. The packaging is not great, and the powder can be messy if you don't tap out very little (which is difficult to do). I also threw the puff away immediately because I felt it concentrated the product too much in one area instead of helping to blend. I use the studio line complexion brush from E.L.F. to blend the powder and it works well! I am very fair, so I do not feel as though this powder makes me look ghostly. I use it on top of my foundation, blush and bronzer and it really makes everything look beautifully blended. It definitely gives me that soft focus finish and makes my skin look and feel smooth. I haven't noticed much of a difference in oil control, but I am oily regardless of whatever precautions I take! Another plus is the affordability!

Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. - Studio Line Eyeshadow 'C' Brush

I bought all of the E.L.F studio line brushes, and this is by far one of my favorites. It packs on a lot of color without much fallout, and works perfectly to create smokey eyes. I use it on my lid, in my crease and to help blend the color. It was so affordable and works really well. It does not shed, and the shape of the bristles have not changed after washing.
