Concealers -Collection 2000 - Illuminating Touch Concealer

I have tried numerous concealers, including Clinique, YSL and Estee Lauder to name a few, and this is by far the best. Not only is it so much cheaper, but it actually comes in a shade that is pale enough for my skin tone. All the other concealers I have tried are either too pink or too orange, and look ridiculous. This one doesn't cake or feel too drying and goes on brilliantly! The packaging is similiar to the Clinque pen, and of the same quality. I will definitely re-buy - dont be put off by the brand! EDIT: I have discovered that the packaging on this is AWFUL - all of the black ink on the outside of the tube has turned sticky and is rubbing off on the contents of my make up bag. Disappointing, but wrapping sellotape round it will do the job.

Powder -The Body Shop - Extra Virgin Minerals Loose Powder Foundation
rated 5 of 5

I LOVE these minerals!!!!! The colour match to my skin is great (I am using 102 natural ivory) and they fair much better than Bare Minerals in my opinion. They are not too skiny or too flat looking, and provide a nice natural and healthy look. With all minerals the coverage is light, but that is exactly what I need for day-to-day work wear - especially as heavier coverage foundations always seem to look too mask like on my fair skin. I will definitely continue to buy these, and think they are a bargain for such high quality.

Powder -Bare Escentuals - Matte Foundation spf 15

I really want to love it Bare Minerals, but there is something about this that doesnt work as well for me as I would like. My main issue with this product is the coverage - I have a few old acne scars and would like a little more cover. I would argue that it is buidlable, as if I use too much it looks extremely patchy and makes my pores look massive (especially on my nose). However, I prefer the idea of minerals over a liquid or creme powder foundation as they make me look like I am wearing a greasy mask and I have never been able to find one that is pale enough for my very fair skin. I recently moved to the matte as my skin swings between dry and oily - and although it does even out skin tone and prevent shine, it looks a little too flat for my liking. I have been experimenting and found that to get the best look I need to use a primer (laura mercier suits me better than the bare minerals prime time), and I also need to dust a little of my previous mineral powder (The Body Shop Virgin Minerals) over the top to finish. **(Virgin minerals by the way are awesome, they are halfway between shiny and matte and are a better colour shade for me. When my skin is dry I don't use the Bare minerals at all - just these and I love them. For times when my skin is oily I will probably continue to use the Bare Minerals....unless I come across anything better.)**

Treatments -Dermalogica - Concealing Spot Treatment
rated 2 of 5

This is ridiculously orange - I do not know how it matches peoples skin tone naturally. I have very very pale skin and for this reason I have only been able to use this at night. It works fairly well to dry out those pesky spots, but possibly a little too well as I then have to deal with the dry scabby skin where the blemish was. I love dermalogica in general but only 2 lippies for the awful colour!

Brows -GOSH - brow kit

I thought this kit was quite good value for money at just over £8. It contains 3 different shades of colour which are easily blendable, this is prefect for me as my eyebrows are natually a very dark blonde, and pencils seem to only come in brown or black. The brush is fine, and surprisingly the wax works very well - it doesnt look greasy at all. For the price and colour choice I will buy again.

I love this eye cream....it is amazing. I generally love dermalogica anyways, and I am swapping my intensive eye repair cream for this today! It goes on really smooth and isn't wet which means my under eye brightner doesnt cake - it just glides on. Great product - banished those pesky fine lines!

Primer/ Corrector -Laura Mercier - Foundation Primer
rated 4 of 5

I have been using this primer for almost a week and I love it - my skin is silky smooth. I was looking for something none greasy, and the assistant in MAC suggested this as it is water based. When I first felt the consistency I was concerned it would be too 'wet', but it dries to a lovely dewy finish really quickly. I was using the Bare Minerals Brightening Primer - but I much prefer this (pricey though even with a 10% discount it cost me over £26.)
