I love this night cream and have finished two jars (which is saying a lot for me). The only issue I have with it is that the cream, which has a very nice texture when it is new - somewhere between a heavy cream and a light lotion - turns into a weird, more oily and sticky texture towards the bottom. When it changes to this texture I can't put it on my face as it breaks me out. It happened with both jars and I had to throw it away with some left in the bottom, which drives me crazy. However, it is really really cheap for a great night cream so I guess it's a trade off.

Moisturizers -La Roche Posay - Toleriane Soothing Protective Light Facial Fluid

Love this cream. I use it at night, with Hydraphase during the day. This is the only thing I have ever used that has completely gotten rid of the dry patches around my nose and mouth without breaking me out. I've been told that this is mostly recommended for people who are recovering from invasive facial treatments, so it's perfect for my sensitive but prone-to-break-out skin! Will buy again!

Cleansers -Origins - Checks and Balances

This wash was just okay. It foamed up wonderfully (which combo-skinned girls like me know makes us believe it's really getting skin clean), but I honestly saw now change in the oiliness of my face. As a matter of fact, using it with the United State toner (which the sales rep sugguested) made my face pretty dry, which we all know increases oil production. Maybe I just mis-diagnosed my face as oily when in fact I just needed products that were gentler on my skin. I wouldn't recommend or discourage someone from buying this product.

Moisturizers -Origins - A Perfect World

Too heavy for my combination skin. Wanted to use it as a night cream but I woke up with very greasy skin, and it seemed to make the blackheads on my nose worse! Smells nice though. I like the Skin Guardian (which is meant to be applied before the Moisturizer) better and might use that in combination with another moisturizer I unfortunately have yet to find. :-(

Scrubs -Dermalogica - Daily Microfoliant

I guess I am in the minority on this product. After having a facial, the woman recommended this for my combination skin. So I (rather impulsively) bought the full-sized version. Now it's sitting under my sink. I believe it made me break out. Although I don't tend to do so normally, I developed some cystic bumps while using this product, and my face seemed more irritated and redder than usual. And my roommate, who is more acne-prone than me, swears this made it worse. The texture is nice and the "exfoliation" seemed gentle, as opposed to some other exfoliators that tear your skin, and it was fun to watch the powder turn into a creamy paste, but that's about all the good I can say about this product. Hopefully I can find someone in my family to pawn it off on!

Shampoo -Pureology - Pureology Hydrate Shampoo
rated 5 of 5

I love love love this shampoo (and the coordinating conditioner). I have very fine (think newborn) hair that tend to get oily by the end of the day. Needless to say, I wash and dry my hair every single day, which strips my color and dries my hair very quickly. Initially, I tried the Volume shampoo and conditioner and while I really liked the shampoo, the conditioner left my hair feeling a little tacky. So I tried the Hydrate, a little skeptically given that hydrating lines usually only make my hair more flat and oily. Three weeks later and I am still pleasantly surprised. My color looks like it did when I left the salon and my hair is never oily when I go to bed! Expensive yes, worth it, hell yes!
