Primer/ Corrector -Sephora - Skin Smoothing Makeup Base

I really wanted this to work for me. After all, how could I resist the allure of smooth, poreless skin that lasts for hours? Unfortunately, the Skin Smoothing primer did not deliver the promise of longer-lasting makeup. It comes in a small pump dispenser, with a clear cap. The pump can be a little erratic; at times when I just wanted a little more, a large glob came shooting out. You smooth it over your skin and apply your regular foundation over it, and your makeup will just glide on and last and last. Sounds good, right? My foundation looked really nice when I was done. My pores looked less noticeable, my skin did look smoother... But two hours afterward, I couldn't believe how shiny and greasy-looking my face had become. This stuff makes my combo-oily prone skin look like I just deep-fried my face! Love the initial finish, but the end result is less than perfect. I can imagine this faring a lot better on drier skin types. Gave this one to my mother.

Lips -Urban Decay - Urban Decay Lip Envy in Envious

I'm pressed for time when it comes to lipcolor during the day, since I go to school. So I've always been interested in long-wear products and lip stains, but didn't really find one I truly liked. When Urban Decay came out with the Lip Envy, stains that didn't involve pen application (which, in my opinion, always seem to dry up or get gunky within a week or two), I jumped onboard. Surprisingly, this shade looks really bright deep pink in the bottle but goes on incredibly sheer. I put on two layers and blend with my fingers or a brush, in between letting the first one dry completely. It's a little sticky for a while as it dries, but once it's set it feels like you're not wearing anything. I'm still pretty young, and my lips don't have deep creases or wrinkles yet but this doesn't flake off or dry my lips at all. Maybe I'm just weird like that, but I do like to put lip balm on top to make it look really nice and natural. I like that I get deep, pinky lips without looking too made up or having to retouch every hour. And I can easily layer on for a more dramatic, opaque appearance. Oh yes, it has a sweet, synthetic unidentifiable scent. Okay, I'm done rambling. Worth a check, if you're into lip stains.
