Just like everyone else that reviewed this...I too stared at this pencil with a puzzled look on my face wondering how in the heck I'm supposed to get more product out of it. After just one use, a lot of the product is used up. I haven't tried sharpening it yet, but hopefully it works. WHY MAYBELLINE, WHY?!?! packaging fail! The product itself, however, is amazing!!!!! I bought the deep brown and it blends perfectly! When they say it's waxy, they aren't lying! It's super waxy but the attached brush blends it wonderfully. It stays in place all day and looks very natural! Other than the packaging, I love the product. I will most likely buy this product again!
I bought this product today at a Kroger store. It was on sale for around $9, so I thought I'd try it out since I have some unevenness of color on my face. If feels super smooth and silky going on. It almost made me freak at first because I thought it was too greasy/oily, however within about a minute it dried and my face was non greasy and super soft. As for the color correcting that it's supposed to do, I didn't see it. I made sure i focused more on my problem areas but I didn't see any changes in the redness on my cheeks. It does give a nice evenness to apply foundation though. The packaging is great. Im always a fan of pumps. If not on sale, this is pretty pricey for a drugstore brand, also for not even reallly being a color correction primer. Unless I start seeing better results, I won't be buying it again.
Other -Unlisted Brand - Philips Sonicare Toothbrush

I have weak gums, according to my dentist. He recommended I get the Sonicare to help with that. Also, since he knows about my rediculous obsession with teeth whitening, he told me they have a teeth whitening version. Well, I got one for christmas today, because they are a bit pricey, I didn't purchase one for myself in a hurry. Although I've only used it twice so far, it is hands down the BEST oral tool I've ever used! It has handy features that tell you when to move to a new area, and it's timed, so you always brush for a recommended time. You barely have to apply pressure, and the brush literally does the work for you. After I brushed my teeth, it literally felt like I had just left the dentist! My teeth feel so clean. I know the replacement heads are expensive as well, but this is one thing I will never feel bad about investing in. HIGHLY recommended. I can honestly say I am in love with the sonicare!
Primer/ Corrector -Hard Candy - Sheer Envy Skin Perfecting Primer
afranklin23 6/28/2011 11:13:00 PM
Well, I wanted to like this product. I've only ever used one other primer before this, from Rimmel. This product does go on very well, very smoothly. It freaked me out at first because I thought it felt greasy, but actually, it feels silky, which I liked. However, This does not minimize pours, does not cover imperfections, and it does not sink into my skin. It stayed a wet/greasy consistency, and it makes my liquid foundation blotchy and uneven looking. I can't blend my makeup, it's just not a good product, to me. I will most definitely not be buying this product again OR using the rest of the package I have now. BOOOOO hard candy. >=\
Cleansers -St. Ives - Naturally Clear Green Tea Cleanser
afranklin23 6/28/2011 10:58:00 PM
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this cleanser! I had the worst breakout of my life last week. It lasted for two weeks. My entire chin and upper lip was a complete zitfest. OH it was horrible. I couldn't even cover it up with makeup the bumps were so red and big. I discovered this cleanser and instantly fell in love with it. After using it one time, the redness on my face was diminishing! I couldnt believe it. I use it twice a day, morning and night, with my Olay Pro-X cleansing tool. I've used it for a week now, and all of my zits are gone, and there's barely any signs that I had such a horrible break out. The smell is great and the package is nice, it has a lock on it which is good because it keeps the product from leaking. It is a bit drying, but if you apply moisturizer like you're supposed to, there is no sign of dryness at all. I will definitely keep using this product, nothing has ever worked so well or so fast. GO ST. IVES!
Misc Beauty Tools -Olay - Professional Pro-X Advanced Cleansing System

Great product!! The Olay Professional Pro-X Advanced Cleansing System is really great and does exactly what it's supposed to. It's great at exfoliating, easy to operate, and it feels ammmaazing on the skin! At $30 including a small cleanser, this is a great deal to me, especially since its major competitor, the Clarisonic is priced around $200! In my opinion, the Pro-X cleansing tool is better than the Clarisonic, because it spins in complete circles, where the Clarisonic only shimmies back and forth. I use it every single night, it takes off all of my makeup, and has never broken me out. Feels great, and leaves skin smooth and soft. I have to say though the cleanser it comes with isn't that special to me. I choose to use other cleansers. This is a great product though, I would definitely recommend it to anyone that wants great skin!
Eye Makeup Remover -Rimmel - Gentle Eye Make Up Remover
afranklin23 6/5/2011 6:58:00 PM
For the price, this is a pretty good eye makeup remover. It removed all of my makeup without much strain. I still recommend the eye makeup remover from Mary Kay, but for your average drugstore product, this is fantastic! I would buy it again. The price is a steal.
By far, the BEST mascara I have ever used. I'm on my like, zillionth tube of this mascara. I have it in different shades, waterproof, ones with different wands, they are all fabulous. I have naturally really long lashes, and I'm obsessed with curling them to get them to stand as tall as they can. The more dramatic the better! This mascara is the ONLY mascara I've ever had that actually holds my curl all day and lengthens and seperates. It makes my bottom lashes look so dramatic. People say I look like a doll, and it's all because of Great Lash. I will never stop using this mascara. It's amazing in every direction!
So I've had this sitting with my other foundations for a few months now and never got around to using it. Well, that changed today. I was sifting through my makeup collection and stumbled upon it. I applied it with your standard stippling brush. I'm a medium tone, and had this product in Natural Beige, medium 2.5. when I first applied it to my skin, I have to admit, I gasped. It literally looked like I had just slathered mud on my cheek. BUT! a few stipples later and some blending, my face is SO flawless. I didn't even use concealer. I'm really impressed with this foundation. I have only had it on for about an hour now just doing some chores around the house so I'm not sure how it holds up through Indiana weather or activity, but so far so good! I think I would purchase this product again.
Self Tanners -Neutrogena - MicroMist Tanning (Medium 2 shades darker)
afranklin23 6/5/2011 10:51:00 AM
So this review is kind of tricky to write. I bought this product (only it was the Deep 3 shades darker version) at a CVS yesterday because they were out of the L' oreal Sublime airbrush spray I like. This product was about three dollars more, which is crazy because the L'oreal spray is already $10.99, which I think is a bit pricey. Anyway, I put this on at about 6pm last night. I watched some Youtube tutorials about how to apply this one and such. Most of them recommended doing two coats, so I did. I was up until at least 2am..and I didn't see any color changes. I was disappointed in this fact, especially since the package said the tan would develop in 2-4 hours. However, I did wake up this morning with a slight color change. I am tanner, for sure, but I would not classify what I have as three shades darker than my previous color. Especially since I applied two very generous coats. There was no streaking at all, which was great, and the smell was not horrible at all. It's your usual aerosal, powdery smell you get with a can of spray tan. The product didn't seem to work as well on my face though, even though I exfoliated that area extra well before hand. I recommend, as with as with all self tanners, to apply lotion to elbows, knees, and ankles before applying this product. Do so, and you with have no problems as long as you keep the can at LEAST 6in away while spraying and you always keep the can in constant motion. I think I will stick to the L'oreal spray just because the color develops faster, and its cheaper, and I get a deeper tan. If you have medium skin, this isn't going to give you super dark results so you have to keep that in mind. But if you are just wanting a nice, glow to your skin, this is great!
Self Tanners -L'Oreal - Sublime Bronze Airbrush-Effect Dry Mist BODY
afranklin23 6/4/2011 4:35:00 PM
I really like this product. I have only purchases one bottle of this so far, but I am most definitely going to purchase it again. It doesn't have a bad price, 10 bucks got me about 5 generous applications. It looked SO natural, even on my face. I recieved so many compliments on my tan. Friends were asking me how much I lay out when I hadn't at all! My application was very even and non streaky. Just make sure you hold the can at least 6 inches from your body and spray in constant, streaking motions. Don't concentrate on a certain area or you will most definitely have streaking. I didn't think the smell was bad at all. It was actually quite enjoyable compared to any other self tanner I've used. It works so much better than a lotion, and you really can spray it in any direction for a streak free, no hassel, natural looking tan! I would most definitely recommend this to anyone!
I have a very olive/yellow skin tone, and I find that this liquid mousse works amazingly well for me. While I've yet to try foundations on the higher end, this one works really well for a drugstore brand. It covers EVERYTHING, i mean every flaw on my face, even freckles. I get breakouts easily but this has yet to make me break out and I've been using this product for about a year now. It did take a while to find the correct shade for me though, the colors in the bottle can be very misleading. It definitely works well with the rest of the product line. I am very sad to have read a review on here about it though that says Maybelline tests their products on animals...if that's true, definitely not buying this or any Maybelline product again.
