I have always shyed away from anything loose (powder) unless it's blush or eye shadow. I tend to wake up late and have to rush with the make-up, that's why I go for pressed powders. Only reason why I bought this was because I read in Glamour that supermodels swear by it for a flawless face. Well.. Who wouldn't want a flawless face? Am sad to say that I am not impressed. This makes me look orange-like a fake tan got wrong. Maybe I've got the wrong colour but I do have golden Asian skin, as described in BE website. Takes too much effort of brushing this into skin, and even more if want more coverage. Doesn't set the concealer at under-eye area and my eyes doesn't have the powder base I need to apply eyeshadow. I am going back to Clinique and sponge applicator. Think I need more than BE to look like model. Hahaha..
I really like the smell of this. After a day at work, it just refreshes me. And if I need that energy boost, I just burn this. It has a nice, citrusy smell. However, this lasted only for two burns (of about 3h each time) and because it's a square-shaped candle with a wick in the middle, the sides cave in to become an odd-shape. I'm still deciding whether to throw this or to keep on burning. I bought this for sgd$50 (usd$60ish), and I find it's really not worth the money.

I love Dove stuffs! This is for my lazy days and travel. Convenient, huge, lathers really well and am able to scrub my face quite well since it's a cloth. Smells great too! Only reason why I don't use it daily is because I'm staying in Singapore and have to ship them over from States. The waiting is agony. I really love this.
Treatments -Clinique - Total Turnaround Visible Skin Renewer

I'm quite confused about the comments I'm reading. When I bought this, the Clinique guy (yeap, a male sales assistant!) told me to use this only once a week and at night because this is supposed to regenerate new skin cells while I'm sleeping. He also said that it will be too harsh for daily use, so it could be one of the reasons why some users break out. I'm just guessing thoughm I love this. Put this on before bed and after my Origins (or any) 3-step that I'm currently using cos it will be too harsh on skin on its own. Goes on smooth, my skin feels smooth and plumped. Can't stop touching my face. It gets even better when I wake up the next day. My skin feels as smooth as a baby, and is of course, instantly brighter. Pores get smaller and generally much easier to put on make-up. This lasts for a few days, and usually will wait a week before next round. I usually put this on before a special function the next day. This is great stuff. P/S-My application tips were taught by my Clinique specialist and not my own.
been using this since 2007 as a prep to get my face radiant for my wedding. and it works! pores became smaller and less noticeable and people have commented that i have a glowing complexion. only thing that did not happen was that it didn't make my oily face any less oilier but hey, if it gives me radiance, why not? a little bit pricey, but it doesn't stop me from using it twice a day. results will be more noticeable then.
i gave this a 5 lippy for price only because i'm comparing the price to benetint. this is a cheaper alternative but i suppose works the same way. i have combination skin, so i put this under a neutral mac powder blush. i find that if i use this as it is, it looks splotchy and unbalanced. but under a neutral mac blush, it gives me a lovely rosy hue. and yeap, it does stay and stay. at the end of a work day, my cheeks do look rosy like i have just been exercising. don't like that i can't get the ends out, though. i';m down to my last quarter tube and it's tricky to get out. also, the colour leaks from the cap when i close it, leaving loads of product on my fingers after closing. messy.
my second stila lip glaze, after my first (grapefruit) was a miss. i love this red colour, isn't too bright but yet brightens up my face immensely. formula isn't also too thick (like grapefruit) so it's easier to blend and spread on lips. lips feel tingly after using this (much like using mac lip glass) so guessing that it's supposed to have a plumping effect?? whatever the case, i love this just for the colour. but kinda expensive for a gloss that goes away after food and drink. will probably get an e.l.f to substitute and use this for touch-ups in public (to show off that i have a stila.) haha.
must be my sallow, yellow-based complexion. bought this, and i find it doesn't flatter my complexion at all. makes my teeth look yellow too. the formulation is also quite thick, thicker than most lip glosses i own and really, i bought this (my first stila lip glaze) only because of its brand name. i didn't really like this, will probably put this over another lip colour for shine.
wore this on its own when i feel lazy to put on make up. for more glam moments, i put this on over my matte lipstick so that i have a little bit of gloss. lovely red colour (got it in cherry tart). actually prefer this applicator to stila's - the sponge makes sure that the colour spreads out evenly. not a problem with the twisting thingy, as long as i see colour, i put it on. elf vs stila. $1.49 vs $more expensive. same delivery. works for me. : )
bought this after much persuasion on the reviews page (see how much i rely on mua to buy my products.. hahah) i don't normally believe in gunking my face with loads of products but was really keen to try this one. and, what can i say... not a decision that i regret at all. living in hot and humid singapore, and make-up goes away 4h after i put on (sometimes i wonder why i even bother) but with this, it just stays and stays and stays. make-up looked fresh at end of the day (after 12h out) and even stayed on after a swim. this is really great. oh, and a little goes a long way. made the mistake of putting on too much the first time round and face felt like plastic. hahaha. love this.
i couple this with never a dull moment (cleanser) and united state (toner), this gave the perfect balance of moisture where my face needed it and strips off oiliness where my face doesn't. this is a really smart product. was really skeptic at first due to the quite-rich consistency of the cream (other moisturizers i used are usually light) but proved to be great! i live in singapore where it's hot and humid, so usually my make-up comes off and my face gets oily by afternoon (4h after applying). but this trio has been the perfect combi for my skin so far. love it. can't rave enough about it.
this gets a plus point for its lovely smell. it may have loads of alcohol but it certainly doesn't smell like it. coupled with never a dull moment (cleanser) and balanced diet (moisturizer), this gave the perfect balance of moisture where my face needed it and strips off oiliness where my face doesn't. i live in singapore where it's hot and humid, so usually my make-up comes off and my face gets oily by afternoon (4h after applying). but this trio has been the perfect combi for my skin so far. love it. can't rave enough about it.
stopped checks and balances (see my previous review) only cos ebay wasn't selling it cheaper ; ) decided to get this and haven't regretted since. hated checks and balances but simply love the fresh scent on this. husband loves it too. leaves skin feeling soft and smooth, and just like checks and balances, where it's supposed to moisturize, it does. where it's supposed to be less oily, it is. coupled this with united state (toning) and balanced diet (moisturizing) (have a thing for matching items from same brand) and it doesn't (finally!!) leave that dreadful layer of oil on my skin even in hot and humid sunny singapore! (where i stay) this is a definite thumbs-up from me! love it, and can't rave anymore about it!!
My first "adult" (due to price, I suppose) skincare was Clinique, followed by Biotherm, then SK II and recently Dermalogica. All have given me that nasty layer of oil on my forehead and nose at the end of the day. So been looking to this site to offer me a better solution : ) I tried this product after much, much research. And am very pleased with it. Where my face is supposed to be supple, it is. And where it is supposed to be less shiny, it is. I love it. It doesn't get a full 5 only because I don't really like that smell. But for the satisfaction it gives me, I'm willing to forgo that : )
