I am so upset over this whole thing. If you can get the free trial, the foundation isn't bad. The brushes are okay, especially if you don't have any or very many. My main problem is the customer service. I was charged the $90 even though I sent my return back weeks ago. Their response? We have no record of your return. And that's it. This stuff is not worth the price at all and I have 3 mediocre-quality brushes and the foundation (I put in a little jar) for $90. I won't ever buy from this company again.
Eyeliner -MAC - Fluidline Eye-Liner Gel in Blitz and Glitz

This is a great color. Its black without being harsh and the gold sheen makes it special and unique. Being pale with dark brown eyes, I find that a rich black is a bit too much for daytime, but this is perfect to wear anytime. I mostly wear it as an eyeliner, but it also looks great as an eyeshadow. Dries very quickly and stayed on all day long.
Eye Makeup Remover -Almay - Moisturizing eye makeup remover liquid
addikt 2/16/2009 3:22:00 PM
My eyes did feel more moisturized after using this and it did take off all my mascara with ease. However, it smears my eye makeup a LOT. Its just too much work to get all the makeup off. I won't buy this again. I want an eye makeup remover that works better than this.
Highlighters -MAC - Iridescent Powder - Belightful

I got this in the Charming Garnet set and I love it. Yes, it does have chunky glitter but it is very easily buffed away. It gives a gorgeous peachy sheen and looks so pretty over peachy, or even pink, blushes. I doubt I'd run out of this, but if I did - and this was not LE - I would repurchase it.
I was not gonna buy this, but a couple reviews I read "forced" me to try it. I'm soooooo glad I did. It is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I have worn it every single day since I bought it. It looks so pretty layered over every lipstick and lipglass I have tried it with. I don't find it overly glittery, but there is a high shimmery shine, kind of a multidimensional pearl. Its so unique. There are very, very, very few LE things I actually would want a backup of, and this is definately one.
I don't often wear lipsticks as I like a natural lip look. So many "neutral" lipsticks make me look dead. But, I love all this red packaging MAC is coming out with for the holidays so I decided to give this a try. I'm so glad I did! The lipglass, My Dear, is SO pretty. It looks good alone, or layered on top of either lipstick. Both lipsticks, Soft Spot and Real Treasure, give me such a pretty almost sheer wash of color. Perfect! The price is great too, just $34.50 for 2 full size lipsticks, a mini lipglass, and a cute little bag. Not sure what to use the bag for, but I like it. If I ran out (and it wasn't LE), I'd definately re-buy.
Palettes -MAC - Passionately Red--MAC Viva Glam--3 Cool Lips

Using a lip brush, these colors go on more sheerly than if you applied them directly from the tube. But, I do think these colors do look like the original ones out of the tube once I build up the color a bit. I love the lipglass and it looks great over either lipstick. The staying power is also fantastic. The packaging is a bit gaudy/over the top, but its unique and I love the color. I do think the product as a whole could be improved on so I gave it a 4/10 for its overall rating. Its worth the $22.50 since I get to try out all 3 colors and get a mini lip brush.
Blush -MAC - Beauty Powder Blush in Stark Naked (Red, She Said) [DISCONTINUED]

I really love this color. Its such a pretty rosy glow with just the right amount of golden shimmer. I almost didn't get it because I have so many pink blushes but really, its such a unique color. I do have to use a fairly light hand, but it blends well. So, I'm am sooo happy that I got this blush! <3
I absolutely LOVE this color. I was a little hesitant because it looks SO bright, but it goes on as this gorgeous sheer bright pink. Its shimmery and stayed put. I do love the Manish packaging. Its loud, but its so unique and pretty. I'd buy another one if I could! I'm in love!
I am SO in love with this blush. I almost didn't buy it because it looked too pink in the swatches I saw. But... I just happened to drop into a MAC store (I live 3 hours away from one). I tested this and Plum du Bois. Plum du Bois was too dark for me but Blooming was beautiful. It gives you a healthy pink glow and looks so natural. Its buildable, which I love. I am so so so happy I ended up getting this blush after all. I love it! Too bad its LE.
I wasn't too sure about this color at first. After all, who really looks good in RED eyeshadow??? But, I got it anyway because I heard some great reviews. I'm glad I went ahead with this purchase. The black is a basic, true black. Many blacks show up kind of gray on me. This is a great black with great color payoff. The reddish side goes on to a gorgeous, pearly light red. When I applied it over the black, it became a pearly burgundy. Even prettier. So, yes, I think this product is unique. Finally, a black that is really black on me (without tons of glitter lol) and this amazing pearly red that looks a lot better on my eyelids than it sounds. If I ran out, I would definately buy it again (if it wasn't LE). And $17.50? Not bad at all considering you pay $14.50 for a much smaller MAC eyeshadow.
I got this in a swap a while back and I am so in love with it! It's a beautiful teal with pretty glitter. It goes on smoothly and has great color payoff. Even better, the glitter stays put! I am so sad this is LE. It's just a beautiful color and I think it looks really good paired with Parrot. If I get a chance, I'm buying a backup!
I love this color! It was the first duo I bought from this collection (Electroflash July 2008). (I went back later and bought Hot Contrast and Odd Couple.) These eyeshadows are definately worth the $17.50. They're big and you get two colors. Well, really 3 if you choose to mix the 2 sides together. I totally agree with the user below me who described the silver side as a true foiled silver. That's exactly it! It's so pretty! A bit dark for my very pale skin to wear as a brow highlighter though. The marbled side is gorgeous. I noticed some deep red veining, but when applied, there is not even a hint of red. It goes on to kind of a blackened gray. Its pretty, but not "oh wow, this is beautiful!" But still, I love it! I probably won't run out of this, but if I did (and it wasn't LE), I'd definately re-buy it.
Mascara -Maybelline - XXL volume+length microfiber mascara
addikt 8/21/2008 4:13:00 PM
I think I am one of the very few people who really like this mascara. It gives my eyelashes volume and lengthens them. It *does* take 2-3 , coats to cover the white base coat, but it doesn't clump. Its somewhat of a pain to remove. This is the one mascara I keep going back to! Its cheap and it does its job.
There are so many negative reviews about this product. Unfortunately, I have to agree on some points. The good: I LOVED the burgundy color, Bravado. Honestly, I tohught that color would be my least favorite because burgundies/cranberries/reds do NOT look good on me. But this one, I just loved. I do love shimmer, so the Tickles color worked well for me. A little messy, so I would just do my eyes before the rest of my face. The bad: The brown, Take Wing, is so incredibly hard to blend. Its matte, which I typically do not like. The only way I can get this to work is lots of blending, and then paired with another shade with some pearl or shimmer. I don't have a strong opinion on Restless either way. Its a grayish neutral on me. I like it, but not enough to want to buy it again. I would not repurchase this palette because I just don't love enough of the colors. If I could, I would only buy Bravado.
