Cleansers -Avon - Clearskin Blackhead Clearing Cleanser

Well, I wish that I could use this. Because I really enjoyed Avon's Clearskin Invigorating cleansing Scrub, I thought I'd give this a try too. I love the texture of the product, and the smell isn't overpowering. And price was excellent. However, once I tried it, I wished that I hadn't. Oh, it definitely helped noticeably reduce my blackheads, but unfortunately, I seem to be a bit sensitive to it. After I used it, my face looked a bit burnt, and was incredibly shiny. Then, my face broke out in this awful red and itchy rash. I think that it was probably the salicylic acid, but I'm not sure. My recommendation is that if you ARE going to try this, make sure you don't have anywhere to go for a few days. I'd buy it again if I hadn't had the reaction to it, because like I said above, it really did reduce my blackheads. And that was after only on use.

Makeup Brushes -Avon - Kabuki Brush

C'mon, Avon. You know you can do better than this... I like the coverage this brush gives (no streaking or cakey look), but that doesn't matter because I really can't use the brush. The bristles are rough and scratchy, and every time I've used the brush, my face becomes extremely irritated and itchy afterwards. In addition, the brush sheds a lot, especially when washed. Oh, Avon, please give your kabuki a makeover!

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous mascara

I found that this mascara wasn't very good for me. I have VERY hooded eyes, and found that this mascara smeared far too easily. Everytime I used it, I'd pretty much end up taking off my makeup and reapplying it, leaving the mascara off. It did seem to give more volume to my lashes, though.

Scrubs -Avon - Clearskin Cleansing Scrub Exfoliant [DISCONTINUED]

My skin felt so smooth after using this; it's like all the dead skin just fell off! Got rid of a lot of the acne I had on my face, too. Gotta say though, was NOT expecting the tingling this product gave. REALLY tingly. I bought this product when it was on sale, but I think I'd even pay full price for it, which is still a great bargain.

Lotions/ Creams -Avon - Moisture Therapy Hand Cream

I have incredibly scaly dry skin on the majority of my body (except my face, where I'm oily...), but my legs are especially so. Most products I've tried have helped only slightly, and the moisture only lasts an hour or so. My mother received this product for free, so I gave it a go. Now, I know that this product is a hand cream, but I figured that it really didn't matter. I put it sparingly onto my legs (I'm always careful not to put much on as I'm sensitive to some products), and to my delight, my skin was immediately smooth and soft, and the scales (looks like dragon skin) had disappeared. The best part was that when I woke up the next morning, my legs were still moisturized and scale free. I've since bought a tube for myself. PROS: Moisturizes very well, smells nice, inexpensive. CONS: Slightly greasy feeling.
