Lip Treatments -L'Oreal - Pastel Repair - Shimmering Lip Cream

A rather creamy texture available in a whole range of scents. I say scents because there is no taste whatsoever. Well, itīs called "pastel repair" and yes, it certainly does moisturize and repair dry lips. I took a lippie off because I was a bit dissapointed that the colour hardly showed up on my lips. Just a hint of rose or nothing at all. So donīt be deceived by the colour in the tube. Other than that... no complaints!
I wanted to try this because I thought it might be able to calm and hydrate my skin during long distance flights. But I didnīt really believe the hype and yes... the price didnīt help either! However, I managed to get a special (24) and I am very, very glad I finally tried it. It calmed, hydrated and smoothed very nicely. I use this regularly now, not just for special occasions, and am still getting great results. That said, I was tempted to take off one lippie because of the hefty price tag.
Same as the regular multi-purpose dry oil but with gold "shimmer". A very beautiful product in the bottle but I hardly ever use it!!! You will need to use moisturizer before if your skin is dry because this does not moisturize well. The "shimmer" is really subtle - I have tried it on my hair but it did not show up, I tried it on tanned skin and it was okay but I much prefer UD and other body powders to get that effect.. I have not tried it on my face yet. I may do that soon and update later!
Treatments -L'Oreal - Dermo-Expertise ReFinish Micro-Dermabrasion

I had hesitated for a while because I thought this would be too harsh for my skin. However, I tested it on the back of my hand first and then tried it gently on my face. Well, it really is very grainy so I would advise starting off gently but I do love the results. It gets rid of all the dead skin and any products I use after the peel are absorbed instantly and work really well. Cost: 14. I have tried applying more pressure now and have not had any negative reaction. Very pleased so far. I will update soon.
Mascara -Bourjois - Glossy Wet-Look Mascara Top Coat
absolutelyfab 11/3/2004 3:29:00 PM
I received a sample of this, so I do not know whether this is the regular applicator or not. I find the idea really beautiful...Well, who wouldnīt want glossy, thick lushious lashes? But the "wand" wasnīt really a regular mascara brush and the consistency was very thick/gel-like. Maybe itīs just my lack of technique, but it was difficult trying to apply the top-coat without clumping together my lashes. I would advise using a normal spoolie or an old, cleaned mascara brush. The wet look effect was not as noticeable as I had hoped for.
The colour has already been described beautifully. What strikes me most about this is the metallic sheen I get whenever I use this. It goes on smoothly, very silky texture and finely milled. When used wet the colour becomes deeper and somewhat longer lasting. The term "velvet" really does descibe it well.
A truly unique shade: rose/peach with golden shimmer but not the glitter that is so typical for UD. Silky texture which applies smoothly and can be used from a very subtle effect to simply highlight the browbone to a more dramatic effect when used wet. I have ended up using this more than I thought I would- I had assumed it would simply replace one of my gold shades!
Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - Holographic - Meteorite Bronze 104

I have been using this for a few months now so the initial novelty of the holographic effect is wearing off slightly! I find the staying power fairly good and the colour will change according to the light but also if you "rub" the colour. It shimmers green gold/yellow/rose and brown and works nicely with a combination of any of these shadows. As a wash it can also be used to highlight. This is my favourite in the range. Price $7
This is a purple-mauve gloss with rainbow glitter in blue, green, silver and red. It looks slightly blue-grey in the tube but, surprisingly, goes on sheer. Itīs a typical MAC gloss as far as stickiness and scent goes and it will last. As it is sheer, you can layer it over l/s or mix it with other glosses.
I bought this in Peach Punch - a very sheer peach balm. It does a good job at moisturizing and really is smooth. It is lightly scented and gives a very natural look. Nothing extravagant but it works well as a base under rose and peachy coloured gloss.
Pore refining is the wrong description for this. If this is what you are hoping for you will be disappointed. However, it is a fairly good retinol product for a fair price. I find that it can be clogging and so I use very small amounts and only now and then. The consistency is not really what I like so I will not buy this again.
A complex colour which has been described by the others very well. I find this can be used sheerly (this looks like a wash of silvery highlighter on me) and layered. You can achieve a lot of dramatic looks with this if you layer a dark shadow over it but you may find that it creases quite a bit.
Eyeliner -Rimmel - Soft Kohl Kajal Eye Pencil in Jet Black
absolutelyfab 3/24/2004 5:54:00 AM
This is such a good product. A true black, no grey, no blue tones. It glides on smoothly and is non-irritating which is just want I need as I line my inner rims with this. I have to add that I wear contacts- no problems at all with this. The only reason why I am taking off one lippie is that is doesnīt last as long as other khols do. So you may need to reapply.
This is fantastic. A very smooth, silky texture which lasts for hours. I have got this in Lilas 132. It is a multicolored lilac/lavender shade with green, blue, rose and golden tones (depending on the light and angle). This packaging is very sturdy and a small sponge applicator is included. I thought the brush would be useless but it is actually very nice. It is pricey but it lasts for ages and the shade is unique.
I do like the look of these soaps and other products- they are lovely as small gifts. As far as the smell goes- it is not overwhelming, yes it did faintly remind me of the sea, but I find this overly priced. It does not lather very well and I find this a bit drying. So a nice look but not a great product.
