Just have to add my rave to this palette. I've had it for over a year and it's my fallback palette when I've got to travel. I love how it's got a big enough range of colours to let me change it up when I'm travelling, but how it doesn't take up too much room. It's work-appropriate too, always a bonus. I also wanted to do a review because I've noticed that my pan of Sidecar is no longer as super-glittery as it once was. It's actually very wearable now! I think the glitter must be packed on the top layer. It used to be a glitter bomb on my cheeks whenever I used it, but now it seems to have so little glitter, I actually can wear it to work. This is a bonus because Sidecar is one of my favourite shades in the whole palette. (I even bought YDK because I heard that it was a non-glittery dupe.) Will definitely repurchase when this runs out, but I've had it for over a year and the colours are so pigmented, I don't think I'm going to be running low for a long while. Unlike a lot of other reviewers, I really like the fuzzy cover, and how it's packaging is lighter than Naked 2. I think it makes it more travel-friendly.

Polishes -Essie - Limited Addiction

This really is a perfect red! Because it is slightly darker and blue-toned, it looks very professional and not too young. (Like some candy-apple reds do.) I actually felt comfortable wearing this to work. Application was a dream. I only needed 1-2 coats. I think it is actually a creme, but has a slightly squishy, jelly-ish feel to it, which gives it some depth on the nail, and makes it more interesting. Gorgeous colour, would definitely repurchase.

I have to say that I love this. I've been using it as a top coat, never had any problems with cracking or bubbling, even over cremes. It adds a lovely, subtle glitter to your nails and is perfect for days when you need something work-appropriate, but don't want to simply have on a boring creme. Would definitely re-purchase. I think the tiny holo particles are divine.

Top/Base Coats -Sally Hansen - Hard as Wraps - Acrylic Gel
rated 1 of 5

I only started wearing nail polish last year so this was the first base coat I've ever bought. I bought the one in the blue bottle and have been using it for the past six months. Nail polish generally lasted 2 days for me with this base coat, before it would start to show cracks and then start chipping. But I was quite happy with it initially, since it did provide a thick and even base for the polish, and my nails did feel harder with it on. I noticed that my nails were very dry when I took off the polish, but I assumed that was what happened when you wore nail polish. I also noticed that after a couple of months it developed a stringiness and the formula became a bit gluggy. A couple of months ago I developed peeling nails, a problem I've never had before. Because of this, I finally decided to try another base coat and I suddenly noticed the difference! My nail polish now lasts 4 days without showing any cracks and only shows a little tip-wear. With the new base coat, my nails did not chip or peel off. I now think that these problems were because of the Sally Hansen base coat. Suffice to say, I am throwing out my bottle and will not purchase it again. Just thought I should warn other people that the Hard As Wraps Acrylic Gel formula in the blue bottle can be extremely drying. I wish I'd known about this earlier. It would have spared me the past two months of painful rips on my fingernails and being embarassed about the state of my nails.
