An excellent product. Will keep your eye-liner and mascara on all day and night...and if you party too hard and fall asleep in your make-up..you can guarantee it will still be there in the morning! Ideal for dotting on your eyes and fairly effective at keeping on lipstick. You could say its overpriced (because it is) but it lasts for AGES. My bottle just wont run out. If you don't want your eye-liner and mascara to budge, don't leave home without it.
Lovely blush. Looks natural, like you are genuinely flushing through the skin. Its got a reeeally subtle sheen. So subtle I wonder if Im imagining it. But its not matte, and its not glittery. The kind of natural sheen your skin would have unaided. Really buildable so you can do it natural, and if you're looking a little tired late in the day then another sweep doesn't make you look caked. The little brush it comes with is useless, so ignore it. Use your own blush brush. Fab little blusher. Repeat buyer.
Love this eye-liner. Its the brush I love the most. The tip is not too feathery so you can get a precise thin line, without needing to be a qualified surgeon. Ideal for thick and thin stokes. It has staying power too! and doesn't make my eyes red. This eye-liner probably lasted AGES. It just doesn't seem to run out! And for £5, its bargain.
Eye Shadow -Sleek - i-Divine Palette - Oh So Special

Ideal for those subtle looks. Or if you're a dab had with a brush, this palette has ideal colours for eyelid contouring! And that, my friend, can mean some dramatic eyes! The selection of browns from light to dark are ideal for my medium-olive skin tone. I'm probably not going to use the candy pink, as its a bit gaudy for me. But I bought this palette for the matte browns. Cheap as chips, highly pigmented, decent staying power. Love it.
The Sleek pallettes, in general, are very good. Ive had this one for a long time and its lasted for ages! The colours are very pretty and highly pigmented. This particular pallete is ideal for warm tones because of the warm golds. And it has some jazzier colours in there to take your fancy. As for quality, the products perform well. They are not the most amazing for blending into each other and they are quite creamy so they can crease. BUT the price and colour selection is brilliant. So id suggest using them alongside the better brands such as Urban Decay. That way you can have more variety in your make-up bag, and a nice cheap palette for your eye shadow adventures.
Liquid -MAC - Mineralize Satinfinish SPF 15 Foundation [DISCONTINUED]

It wasn't for me. This was my first foray into foundation, and I was a bit nervous spending money on something I might not use, but the assistants were helpful and let me try a few on. I opted for this one because the coverage was sheer and made me look healthy. I was also pleased that she found an ideal shade for my skin tone. I was initially very happy with the product. But our love affair was not to last. This is foundation is not ideal for a combination or oily skin type. It felt quite sticky to apply, and even with powder to set it, the foundation became tacky after minimal wear..and felt plasticky on my face. The colour seemed to change after a while and became an orangey hue. Its a shame because initially the effect was lovely, but I dont even think a drier skin type would do well with this because of the odd feeling on skin and colour changing. On the hunt for a better foundation. Wont buy this again.
Erase Paste is good, but probably not for everyone. It does brighten under my eyes because it has a brightening formula. Ive tried other brightening formulas in the past and have been horrified that they drew attention TO my dark circles instead of covering. But this product conceals well. Dont be put off by the product consistency, which is quite heavy and oily. The skin under your eyes is generally drier and can hold onto the concealer. I would say to older skins to steer clear of this. The product works for me because although i have dark circles, my skin is still young and firm so i have a tight canvas to work on. I fear that this concealer would simply sit in the creases of a mature skin and make things look worse. But for me I am happy to dab this on, dust on some powder..and off I go!
First off, this concealer is not for under eye circles. They made 'Erase Paste' for that. This product will be too thick and drying for your sensitive under eye area. However, when used as directed on your blemishes..its great! When it says 'industrial strength concealer' they mean it! The consistency is very heavy and thick. Its very pigmented so buying the correct colour is key. I dab mine on with my finger and use it on any spots or imperfections. It really will cover any redness or discolouration! After use, set your face with some powder and you're ready to go. I don't like paying this much for concealer, but i shouldn't gripe. They really do last a long time and a little goes a long way. Im probably on my 3rd pot in years. Love it.
Pressed Powders -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish Natural - Medium Dark

Goes on nicely with an even, natural finish. I have combination skin that's prone to an oily t zone throughout the day. This product wont keep you oil free all day (is there a powder out there that does on an oily skin?) but because it looks natural you can happily touch up when needed and not look like a horrendous, cakey monster. Its a bit expensive in my opinion, but I like the consistency and colour..so Ill keep buying it for now.
A great mascara! Visible lash definition, Minimal clumping, Extra volume, Lengthening. An all round good product. I think its the brush that makes this mascara work so well! When looking for fabulous lashes, Id always recommend a plastic brush. It seems the plasticky material evenly distributes the product, whereas sometimes the fibre ones get mangled together. Have bought many times, will buy again.
Eye Shadow -E.L.F. - Liquid Eyeshadow - Mocha Madness
ZoeMakeupLover 10/3/2011 7:35:00 PM
I like this product, Granted, Ive only tried the Mocha Madness but I was really happy with it. Perhaps it would be unfair to say I liked the 'product' and more fair to say that I liked MY experience of the product. It seems that with the ELF Liquid Eyeshadows everyone is receiving their product in different states of disrepair. Mine arrived well packaged from the website and of the ideal consistency ie. smooth enough to glide on, and not dry. However for one, I would not consider this an 'eyeshadow'. The consistency etc make it very impractical for spreading anywhere because it dries to quickly to allow for blending it out. Best used as a kinda liquid eyeliner. I would line my upper eyelid with it in a nice thick line and wing it out to a thin line. Then fling your favourite black liquid liner and youve got pretty, glimmering eyes in very pigmented colour. And this baby stays on all day. It dries to an excellent seal that can take a bit of casual eye rubbing. Im gonna buy another in the same colour and try some of the lighter colours. Hopefully the one they send me is of equal quality to the first.
