Fragrances -Etro - Shaal Nur
YoHarajuku 6/13/2013 8:33:00 AM
First spritz its harsh and unappealing but quickly dies down to a beautful, exotic scent. I don't agree with reviews that class this as a maculine, perhaps unisex, but I find to be a quite a sensual feminine scent after 20 minutes or so.

Fragrances -Chanel - 1932
YoHarajuku 5/28/2013 3:12:00 PM
To me this screams casual chic. Its classic, sophisticated chanel but for a slighty younger and laid back gal. Compared to the many other beautiful scents chanel make it is slightly unmemorable but its still miles better quality than you get in other perfumes. I proabably wouldn't buy the very expensive full bottle but its worth a sample every now and then.

Fragrances -Serge Lutens - La fille de berlin
YoHarajuku 5/28/2013 3:06:00 PM
In our world of mass consumerism I greatly admire Serge Luten for his daring, non mainstream scents. La File de Berlin is yet another great example: different, intriguing and womanly. On me the dry done was boring but I feel this is more a body chemistry problem. I would recommend to anyone else though to give it a try.

BB Cream -MISSHA - M Perfect Cover BB Cream
YoHarajuku 4/13/2013 7:25:00 AM
Do not like at all! Bought this after getting so many recommendations that it was good for oily skin. Previously I had been using Skin 79 Hot Pink and was in love with it but wanted to try another to compe. Its thick and hard to blend and looks somewhat sludgy and cakey. On areas like the nose it just left streaks and wouldn't adhere to my skin. The tone (lightest shade) matched my skin well but also felt it gave a sickly cast, like I just did not look healthy wearing it. It definetly doesn't look so bad once you powder over it but I the intentions of a BB Cream is to wear less makeup so not happy to do that. I also feel it may be breaking me out, I don't wear it everyday but my skin seems to not want to calm down since I started it.

Fragrances -Guerlain - Le Bolshoi Saison 2012 La Traviata
YoHarajuku 3/7/2013 11:27:00 AM
$600 for a perfume is a lot of money even if it is limited edition, and for that amount you expect something amazing. But you won't find anything memorable about Le Bolshoi. It's a glamourous scent yes, the type you'd imagine wearing to black tie ball, but there's zero wow factor. For me an expensive perfume has to justify itself by the quality and complexity of the scent, and this lacks in both departments. Bolshoi is just "nice" nothing more, nothing less. I enjoyed wearing it but there are far better perfumes out there, and I'd only repurchase if I happened to come across it at a cheaper price, which I highly doubt will ever happen. :)

Fragrances -Guerlain - Vega
YoHarajuku 2/26/2013 5:24:00 PM
Vega is very much of the vintage soapy perfume family e.g. No.5 and Lui.There is something about old fashioned fragrances I love (probably the nostalgia factor), but for anyone under 50 they are mighty difficult to wear without feeling like a grandma. Vega for me is the one exception, its lighter and less heady than others and smells more "Night at the Opera" rather than Grandmas vanity table. Definetly one I will be buying.

Fragrances -Christian Dior - La Collection Couturier Parfumeur Mitzah Dior
YoHarajuku 2/26/2013 5:15:00 PM
Personally it wasn't for me but its certainly unusual and well crafted fragrance. It ticks all the boxes, complicated but smooth, clean but strong. Definetly one for perfume lovers.

Fragrances -Serge Lutens - Borneo 1834
YoHarajuku 2/26/2013 5:12:00 PM
After trying the dire Sarrasins and Koublai Khan I was expecting more of the same with this one. But its certainly not as offensive as those and much more wearable. Very rich and dense and for me I pick up a Iiquour scent. I tried to love it as I'm a big fan of any "exotic" style fragrance but it wasn't to be. Its just a tad to heady but its one I will revisit in the future to give another try.

Fragrances -I Profumi di Firenze - Ambra del Nepal
YoHarajuku 2/26/2013 5:07:00 PM
This is a really lovely vanilla scent, but as other reviews have said...thats all it is. Pretty bland on the whole, nothing complicated about it. If you fancy something "neutral" and everyday then this is great, although its not exactly cheap.

Fragrances -Serge Lutens - La Myrrhe
YoHarajuku 2/26/2013 5:02:00 PM
This is a hard review for me to write as I found La Myrrhe to be a difficult and complicated fragrance to describe. First sniff is very strong and chemical, almost metallic. But quickly dies down to a rich and sweet exotic scent. Not for everyone, definetly for the more adventurous. I'd buy this again except that I sadly made the mistake of wearing this for the first time on the most disastrous date I've ever had. Now all it does is remind me of that lol! :)

Fragrances -Guerlain - Bois d Armenie
YoHarajuku 2/19/2013 10:40:00 AM
I've been trying a lot of perfume samples lately. I've liked some, I've disliked most. I was beginning to think I was being too picky and dismissing perfectly good fragrances for no reason and should be giving them more of a chance. One sniff of this and I felt vindicated. THIS is was real perfume is all about. I true quality fragrance envelopes you in the scent and transports you to another world in a flash. Armenie does not dissapoint. Smooth and woody and just devine. Buy it!

Fragrances -Guerlain - Les Voyages Olfactifs New York
YoHarajuku 2/19/2013 10:24:00 AM
This is the 4th fragrance from the Les Voyages collection I have tried. I can now safely say that they are all quite similar. You could probably even mix them together on the skin. New York is my least favourite of the lot, its more on the sour side and stings the nose. Out of this collection I'd recommend Moscow the most.

Fragrances -Donna Karan - Chaos
YoHarajuku 2/19/2013 10:07:00 AM

I was lucky enough to try a sample of the original version of this. Although I'm a perfume lover I'll admit I'm a complete novice at detecting notes etc. All I can say is its a gorgeous deep scent with sandalwood and many other spicy notes. I would buy this again but I found quite a similar sent in the Armani Prive line, I believe it was Cedre Olympe but I could be wrong :)

Fragrances -Guerlain - Mahora
YoHarajuku 2/19/2013 9:39:00 AM
Smells very dated and "of a certain time" even though it was only released on 2000. Would be easy to mistake for something from the 80s. Irritable to the nose and swirls like a cloud around your head. If memory serves me right its in the same vein a Nahema. Certainly not up to Guerlains standards.

Fragrances -Giorgio Armani - Armani Privé - Ambre Soie
YoHarajuku 2/15/2013 8:30:00 AM
I've tried nearly all the Prive scents and with the exception of Eau De Jade(headache inducing but still lovely), and I am in love with them all. But Ambre Soie is sadly the first that left me a little dissapointed. Its still a good perfume, exotic, warm and spicy. But it is for me the weakest of them all. For such an expensive price I can't justify ever buying a full bottle. Which is just as well as it leaves me more cash to splurge on the others! :)
