Foundations -Maybelline - Dream Matte Mousse

type: Combination Oily/Normal, Wrinkle Free.
Skin Tone: Light Porcelain. MAC - NC15
This
foundation is very similar to L'Oreal - Cashmere Perfect Foundation for the
exception that Dream matte has better ingredients. I used the lightest color
and it was too pink.
VERY hard to apply, I tried with sponge, brush, fingers, no matter what it didn't
even out!
It's NOT full coverage but light to medium. It go on nicely due to
the large amount of "silicone" in it. It dries matte because of the
high amount of silica but it will also accentuate any of the smallest imperfections
and will dry out your skin making it flaky due to the large amount of silica
that will absorb all your skin oil and water!
I sure hope
that this "powder matte" foundation craze will not last because these
products are not very good and over priced.
Really not recommended for anyone!

This foundation is very similar to Maybelline Dream Matte. I used the lightest color "Classic Ivory" and it did match nicely, natural looking color.
The first
thing I noticed is the HORRIBLE FRAGRANCE, like other reviews I also find it
to smell in-between bug spray and turpentine! This foundation has "Vaseline"
in the first few ingredients and Powder, Silica. I real mess for your skin!
Second, it made my skin itch almost instantly, probably due
to the fragrance.
Third, after a few hours I broke out A LOT,
many (over a dozen) small to medium pimples. NOT usual for me to breakout outside
of my "once a month" hormonal cycle and I wasn't in it during this
foundation trial.
It's NOT full coverage as advertised but light to medium. It go on
nicely due to the large amount of petroleum (Vaseline) in it. It dries matte
because of the high amount of power/silica in it but it will also accentuate
any of the smallest imperfections and will dry out your skin making it flaky
due to the large amount of silica that will absorbe all your skin oil and water!
I sure hope that this "powder matte" foundation craze will not last
because these products are not only bad for your skin but over priced for the
cheap ingredients used in those types of foundations.
Really not recommended for anyone!

Misc Beauty Tools -Unlisted Brand - Dermawand

This is so good for anyone with combo/oily skin prone to brakeout.
I use it every morning and night when in my PMS to reduce brakeout and it works!
It does a marvelous job at reducing under eyes puffiness, and absolutely great product.
I does make the skin look better overall, even reduce fine lines!!
I have the professional version "Oxylight" from Dermawand which is the same thing but in black instead of white and with an easy to hold shape instead of strait as the Dermawand. It 's marketed as having better electricity conduction but after talking to someone at Dermawand I was told that it's the same for the exception of the mentions above.
A must have cosmetic/esthetic tool!

Loose Powders -Almay - Luxury loose powder

Great Loose Powder, the Best Really!
I have tried every loose powder possible on the market but non gave me this natural glow, good coverage and light to wear!! I use Revlon Colorstay Stay Natural Makeup in Buff which is a nice neutral/natural color but a bit to dark for porcelain skin tone. I use this powders in Translucent to tone down the color and it works wonderfully. It's true that the packaging is not the best but it's works O.K beside it's the product inside that counts, right? It's worth trying this powder it VERY GOOD.

Powder -Bare Escentuals - Bare Minerals ALL

I really wanted to like these products but I don't! It's literally and over price shimmery body powder that can irritate sensitive skin. I don't have sensitive skin and got a serious rash within 10 minutes of wearing this make-up!! I have two light kit samples: #1 & #2 with foundation, bisque, mineral veil, glee, warmth and bought an extra kit with 3 eye shadows: Violet Sky (muted violet with brown undertones), Passionate Plum (gorgeous smoky, muted violet gray) and Hay (pastel lemony yellow). Note that the light #1 is very pink and the light #2 is very yellow, the shades in between such as 1.2 or 1.5 is not better; absolutely nothing like the shades of human skin tones!! Either way all are way to dark of light and fair skin tone unless you are looking to have a orange tan complexion. I bought these on ebay for $21 USD + $10 USD for the eyshadows. I think even the samples are over priced considering you are getting 1/4 of a teaspoon but it's true that it does take a small amount and it can go a long way.
BEWARE of the bare Minerals company using your credit card! They have been charging my credit card even after canceling my order 3 months ago and never received any products! After trying the sample I called back within 24 hrs and cancelled; it was no problem to do so at the time. Now my credit card has being charged again for the same transaction I canceled three months ago!! After contacting them the same day actually within an hour of the charge being placed (I have online banking and get notification of my cc being used IMMIDIATELLY) they told me they can't remove the charge or cancel the order and I must wait that the order has processed (takes 3-4 days) then upon receipt of the package I can send it back, only then will I get a credit.
Note that I NEVER joined their "club" as I always make sure that I uncheck any box indicating a sign-up to news letters or automatic shipment every three months. I never gave them any authorization to re-use my credit card. Well I call this FRAUD!!!!

Lip Gloss -Revlon - Sheer Lipglide

Just O.K - But .06 fl oz/1.9ml for $13.99 CAD is very steep!!
Too frosty and Glistening Sand color looks almost white once on the lips but the texture is nice though. Revlon needs to review their price or put more in the container, I agree with others that the packaging is very deceiving!! Will not purchase again since WETSLICKS from Cover Girl is a better product and half the price you also get five time more!!

Great lip gloss!
But .06 fl oz/1.9ml for $13.99 CAD is very steep!!Nice natural color and texture, somewhat like a lip moisturizer with tint really. Revlon needs to review their price or put more in the container, I agree with others that the packaging is very deceiving!! Will not purchase again since WETSLICKS from Cover Girl is a better product and the price is half the price and you get five time more!!

Concealers -Revlon - New Complexion Concealer [DISCONTINUED]

Nothing special about this concealer!
I worked hard at blending this one hoping it will be a HG concealer but alas it's NOT. It has silicone and not mineral oil or petroleum so I tough it would be better but I was wrong!! It goes on smooth but doesn't hold or have much coverage, you can layer it but because it's so slippery it's hard to do so. If you use any type of exfoliants such as: glycolic acid, retinol, BHA even in the tiniest amount or have a bit dryer skin around your eyes it will amplify the flakes a lot and that is a bad thing. I will definitely no repurchase.

Mascara -Revlon - Lash Tint

This is the worst tint ever put on the market!
A agree with everyone with a "one Lipstick" review. Why bother with this "tint"? This one actually made my lashes look smaller than without any mascara!! And It wont come off. I had to rub so much with some of the best waterproof eye makeup remover and still it toke 3 days to get it all out!! Needless to say it cause great damage to my lashes.

Very smooth and great texture, not the sticky type and taste just right. The colors are also nice and natural, I have Simmershell (350), Sand Blast (315) and Iced Berry (310) - a color I wouldn't usually like; the sample a receive was Iced Berry and found it to be a bit darker than I like for a gloss but it made my lips so yummy I had to buy it again. I use it on it's own since it's a bit too dark for a "over the lipstick" gloss I find.
