Liquid -Maybelline - Mineral Power Natural Perfecting Foundation ] ] [DISCONTINUED]

Color matching: There's a good variety of colors to choose from but I'm not one of those gifted enough to tell from the bottle what color is right for me. I'm Asian with NC35ish MAC color and bought the Medium Light beige. The foundation came on as being too peachy and plastic as if it came melted off of a barbie doll. Coverage: Light coverage but can be built to medium with an additional layer. I used my fingers but a brush might distribute the foundation a bit better. Maybe. I had to apply two layers to get the desired coverage. Shine: Definitely got oily after about 10 minutes of being on my face. I had to put on blot powder every 2hrs to keep the shine away. Claims: This foundation claims that it will improve skin smoothness and luminosity as well as hydration. If you count oiliness as hydration I was pretty well "hydrated." Other then that the foundation did none of this. It actually caused a few minor pimples. Smell: Like watered down paint...I could use this in art class -_- Price: Cheap...got it on sale for $5.49 and some people got it cheaper. I wouldn't buy this again unless it was the only foundation option.

Treatments -Alpha Hydrox - Spot Light Targeted Skin Lightener
Wonder2Wanda 8/19/2010 1:20:00 PM
I bought this to help lighten some acne scars and so far it's done a pretty good job at lightening them. The product itself is a white cream that contains 2% of hydroquinone which works well as a skin lightener. On the offside, it also causes slight itchiness and some burning which I've experienced upon every application. Still it actually WORKS so I chose to ignore the minor side effects. After all I've used Mederma for months with no avail... One caveat...if you plan to use this product then be prepared to apply sunblock especially if you live somewhere that's sunny. When you're using the cream your skin is particularly sensitive to UV rays and will actually darken if you don't apply any sun protection. I find that I can just apply sunblock and dab over with some blot powder and everything looks dandy. Overall I give this 4 lippies because it'll probably take months to erase my scars.

Cleansers -Shu Uemura - Cleansing Beauty Oil Premium A/O
Wonder2Wanda 8/13/2010 3:15:00 PM
I bought this right when I heard that Shu Uemura products were going to be pulled out of the US because I've always wanted to try it. This was definitely a novel concept for me...using an oil to pull make up off my face? I was pleasantly surprised at how well it works. Everything literally melted off when I rinsed: my foundation, my mascara, my lipstick, my usually stubborn eyeliner...It also didn't dry out my skin which was awesome. The only thing I didn't like was the smell...a tad bit synthetic for me. That and the fact that when some of it got into my eyes (I know...but the real reason I love this was it took off the eyeliner) it stung a bit. Just gotta be more careful I guess. Definitely would repurchase again except...I'm not sure I want to go through the trouble of international shipping. We'll see...

Skincare - Body -Unlisted Brand - Egyptian Magic Healing Cream

I just don't understand what the hype is all about! I saw it on youtube and so many people seemed to love it claiming that it was very versatile. The jar was about $40 when I purchased it which, in my opinion, is too pricey for a small jar! It really reminded me of Vaseline petroleum jelly except that after application the product wasn't as sticky. At first I used it on my face. The weird thing is I have this combination skin that gets oily after awhile but the sides of my face is remains really dry. Needless to say I applied it there and within a couple of days I had mini whiteheads sprouting on the side of my face...yuck! I then confined it to use on my elbows, knees and toes and it worked pretty well...just like any other cream, butter, thick lotion or cuticle butter would. My verdict? For the price...not purchasing this again! For those of you that like natural organic products then this could very well be your alternative for petroleum jelly =)

Liquid -Christian Dior - Diorskin Nude Hydrating Makeup SPF 10 [DISCONTINUED]
Wonder2Wanda 8/13/2010 2:55:00 PM
One of the best liquid foundations I have ever used! Hands down! I love the way it smells and goes onto my skin giving me medium to heavy coverage depending on how much I apply. At first I thought it would be sticky but it wasn't the case and I never broke out from it. In fact, my skin looks better when I take off my make up. WOW! As with any liquid foundation, my skin becomes oily after 2 hours and I have to apply blot powder, then reapply blot powder every hour or two after that. All in all this thing had pretty good staying power and matches my skin color nicely: I'm a Mac NC35 and a sable/sand #031 in this foundation. I already purchased another one O_o LOL That's how much I like it!

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast
Wonder2Wanda 8/13/2010 2:43:00 PM
This bulky orange excuse for a mascara is so...MEH! It was so disappointing because I saw some good reviews for it too. When I started applying the mascara I noticed that it clumped, separating my already thin, sparse lashes into chunks. Not only that the wand could not reach the corner of my eyes without smearing. That was my biggest gripe with this mascara...the oversized wand that just couldn't distribute the product properly. Won't be re-purchasing again!

Treatments -L'Oreal - Skin Genesis Pore minimizing Skin Re-Smoother
Wonder2Wanda 8/13/2010 2:35:00 PM
Thumbs up! Nice smell, nice texture and my pores really do look a lot less noticeable. Goes on matte and balances my complexion overall. I usually just apply on my T-zone and cheeks where pores are most noticeable. I was looking around for a pore minimizer when I bumped into this product. Almost everyone on my mother's side of the family including me have rough, acne prone and large pored skin that's hard to heal. I've tried Dermadoctor and Cosmedicine which cost much more but for no results. The only reason I took off one lippie is because the pores come back if I stop using it for a day or two...so much for the treatment -_- But then again how would they sell their product right?

Treatments -DERMAdoctor - Picture Porefect serum
Wonder2Wanda 8/19/2009 7:51:00 PM
I have pretty oily skin and genetically large pores (from my mom's side of the family). I was hoping this serum would help somewhat with my large pores but it's been weeks now and still nothing. My pores are the same size as they were before! Don't buy this...it's definitely worthless. Maybe if your skin has large pores due to whiteheads or blackheads you should give it a try (ask for samples at Sephora first). Otherwise don't jump the gun on this product. I have been using the queen helene mint julep mask and noticed an improvement in pore size there. It's only been two days so too early to tell but the mint mask is cheaper and so far did for me what this product could not and would not do. Never buying this again!!!

Other -Unlisted Brand - Omega 3 supplement
Wonder2Wanda 8/18/2009 8:49:00 PM
I don't think I'll ever be able to go without these pills again! Before I took them I had a really hard time growing out my nails. They were prone to splitting and snagging when they reached a certain length, but now my nails are extremely long and healthy and don't bend on light pressure. I have significantly less pimples and better skin everywhere on my body. My hair is noticeably thicker and shinier as well. When I stopped taking them for a week my pimples came back and some hair fell out...guess I gotta keep taking them.

Powder -Bare Escentuals - Bare Minerals ALL

This is stuff is alright if you have good skin to begin with but it's horrible if you don't. I loved it the first time I used it but began to notice little bumps forming on my skin. I started to break out after that. Also, I cannot stand the concept of warmth. It makes my blotchy cheeks glow like pumpkins and that's really unbecoming. Other than that you have to buy the more expensive brushes offered by the line because the ones they give you for free is really itchy.
