Mascara -Christian Dior - Diorshow New Look Mascara
Wolkje 11/7/2012 4:49:00 PM
This mascara caused an allergic reaction to my eyelids The consistency of this product is rather smooth in the beginning, but after a while it gets thicker and sticky. This mascara transfers to the under the eye area during the day, and that is bothering me. I will not repurchase this. Instead I will switch to my beloved Shiseido Perfect Mascara Defining Volume again.

Misc Beauty Tools -Unlisted Brand - Eyecurl Heated Eyelash Curler
Wolkje 7/7/2008 4:52:00 PM
AMAZING product! I use this heated curler every day. (it works on only one AA battery) This is how I use it: First I start curling my lashes using the Shu Uemura EyeLash Curler (a true classic in my opinion. Every woman should own one). Meanwhile I'm heating up my "Eyecurl II Professional Heated Eyelash Curler". This saves a lot of time. Then I apply my Shu Uemera Basic Mascara. Once this is done, I let my lashes dry for approximately one or two minutes and after that I lightly press the Heated Curler against the bottom of my lashes. I also move the heated curler slightly upwards. This creates even more curl on my super straight asian lashes. Finally, I also slightly press a bit at the tips of my lashes. Please note that the battery only lasts for a of month and you need to replace it in time, otherwise it will take more effort to create curly lashes. Recently I found the Eyecurl II commercial at you tube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q8jKkvfKhAE

Lipstick -Clinique - Chubby Stick (all shades)
Wolkje 5/14/2007 7:56:00 AM
I have this in sugarcane and in grapevine. The concept of a stick combining a lipliner and lipstick is really wonderful. Nevertheless these sticks have caused an allergic reaction on my lips. They got really dry only a few hours after application, the next day my lips were swollen. Just Terrible ! I will definitely not repurchase

Liquid -Shiseido - The Makeup Lifting Foundation SPF 16
Wolkje 5/9/2007 8:40:00 AM
While in Hong Kong I bought this foundation in the color O20. It was recommended to me by the MUA. This is the perfect match for my skin, which is light with yellow undertone. (asian skin). This comes in a convenient pump bottle and at first sight the foundation has a really thick structure. (some people will consider this as cakey/sticky). But when you apply it on your face it blends in perfectly, but don't use too much!! With this foundation it's better to use the fingers instead of the (MAC) foundation brush, because the brush will give a streaky effect. It's a shame this color is not available in the Netherlands. : ( Nevertheless I've found some good deals on Ebay.

Fragrances -Lolita Lempicka - L de Lolita Lempicka
Wolkje 5/9/2007 8:28:00 AM
I must say that I share the enthousiasm of the previous reviewers. Althought this perfume has a very sweet scent (vanilla), that has incredible staying power, I don't get tired of the smell at all like I get with most of these kinds of fragrances. When I wear this I get many compliments. The bottle is not exactly a big plus for me, because it's quite difficult to handle due to its uneven shape. Nevertheless I will repurchase this as soon as I've run out of it.

Blush -Chanel - Bronze Plum
Wolkje 7/6/2005 12:48:00 PM
I've been using this color for many years now. You can easily over-apply it and before you know you can start working in a circus, as you know who! The brush you get with this is way to small for a decent application, I wouldn't use it. It's a very nice, sophisticated color.

Tinted Moisturizer -Shiseido - The Skincare Essential Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15 [DISCONTINUED]
Wolkje 7/6/2005 12:37:00 PM

I recently both this in #1 light. I'm really happy I bought this. It doesn't give much coverage, but you can't expect that from a tinted moisturizer ofcourse. It's very easy to apply and I only use a little bit of powder on top... and a blusher ofcourse and I'm ready to go. Great product for, let's say: the lazy days.... I only wish they had a bigger size, because this one doesn't last a very long time.

Mens -Philosophy - razor sharp
Wolkje 7/6/2005 12:30:00 PM
Compared to the Gilette Satin care products, I must tell you that this is so much smoother. You only need a little to get great shaving results. It's definitely an extra-close shave.... as they say on the bottle. My boyfriend has tried it and he loves it as well. (surprisingly.. I must say, because he's very critical when it comes to shaving products) But there is one downside of this product. This gel can leave both your hands and bathroomfloor very slippery. So be aware !

Eyeliner -Laura Mercier - Kohl Pencil in Brown Copper
Wolkje 7/6/2005 12:21:00 PM
Great color, but unfortunately I got an allergic reaction from it. I have really sensitive eyelids and after two days of usage they appeared red/swollen. That's why I had to bring it back to the store. So, I guess no more LM on my eyelids.... (also Chanel/Shiseido/Nina Ricci eyeliners didn't work out for me, ) I'll start using my clinique quickliner again, it's the only eyeliner that works for me. (so far)

Treatments -Philosophy - Save the Nails [DISCONTINUED]
Wolkje 7/6/2005 12:14:00 PM
Since I've been using this salve my nails and cuticles look better than ever. (it adds a little shine to the nail) I use this before I go to bed, and I have a jar standing on my desk so I can easily reach for it when needed. It's really nourishing, but I can't say that my nails have started to grow faster from this. Nevertheless a great product and nice packaging as well.

Bronzers -Shu Uemura - Luster Bronze Powder
Wolkje 7/6/2005 10:26:00 AM
This is such a great bronzer..... ! It doesn't only add nice radiance to my face, but it also leaves my skin silky soft after applying. The color is rather light for a bronzer, for instance it's even lighter than their face powder in 7YR Medium Light ! Therefore I wouldn't recommend this for a dark skintype. The best thing I like about this product is that it gives you a glow like nothing else. I love and I will certainly buy again if I ever need to because the container is pretty large.

Cleansers -Kanebo - Creamy Soap
Wolkje 6/9/2005 10:48:00 AM
I use this in combination with Kanebo's Cleansing Cream. Despite of what the description says I dont use the cleansing cream on dry skin but instead I wet both my face and my Shiseido cleansing brush, put just a tiny amount of the cleanser on the brush and gently brush my face with it for a few minutes and than as a second step I use this creamy soap (also just a tiny bit). My face feels sooooo clean and hydrated and most importantly my skin becomes really soft. compare it with peach-skin) The only downside is that it's quite expensive... it costs €45,- here in the Netherlands. But a tube lasts for ages (read: at least 6 or 7 months, maybe even more.

Polishes -OPI - Kiss The Bride
Wolkje 6/9/2005 10:34:00 AM
This is such a bride eeeh... bright shimmery/pearly/lightly-peachy/pinky color. I wear this over Essie's Fed Up which looks really nice on my Asian hands, but I guess it looks nice on all skintones.
