Scrubs -LUSH - Ocean Salt
rated 4 of 5

I really felt a difference after using this scrub. My face felt so unbelievably soft and squeaky clean. I love the citrus smell too. It's a pretty abrasive scrub though, as the salt granules are quite big, so you have to rub gently and be careful around acne and definitely needs a moisterizer after. I don't like the pot that it comes in. I use the scrub in the shower and water gets in it. I'd prefer it to come in a more hygenic tube form.

Treatments (Eye) -Shiseido - Bio Performance Super Eye Contour Cream
rated 1 of 5

I had to stop using this product. It stung and made my eyes watery with each use and everytime I used it, the next morning the skin around my eyes appeared a little swollen and huge bags had formed, making me look like I was either really tired or had been crying. I stopped using it for a few weeks and then tried again and the same thing happened. It's probabaly too rich for my 30-year old skin or I had an allergic reaction.

Treatments (Eye) -Sundari - Chamomile Eye Oil
rated 4 of 5
Whend1212 10/20/2012 12:52:00 AM

I found this oil to be a great for hydration around the eyes and softening of the skin. It helped reduce puffiness too. The hydration was enough to reduce the appearance of some fine lines beneath the eyes. I was wary of using an oil because I have combination/oily skin but I never had any breakouts or problems around the eyes and I used it daily for months. I had to be extremely careful, however, not to let any of the oil drip away from the undereye area because it's very runny. I found it worked best to apply with a q-tip. It smells great and I like that it's all natural. I only used it before bedtime, as I found it difficult to apply make up over. Eyeliner and concealer just slipped right off and it leaves a shininess. The glass breaks easily so be careful!

Primer/ Corrector -Yves Saint Laurent - Touche Eclat (Radiant Touch)
rated 4 of 5
Whend1212 10/19/2012 3:03:00 PM

This product is great as a highlighter and very light under eye concealer. Prior to this product, I almost never used anything under the eyes because all the concealers I've tried before would fall into the fine lines making them more apparent. That doesnt happen at all with Touche Eclat. It sits very nicely on top. I combine two shades under the eyes to lighten up dark shadows. It doesnt fully cover up the circles like a rich concealer would but I don't think it is meant to. It just lightens it up a bit. And then I apply some along side my nose and lip area for highlighting. It really brings out the angles and makes me look bright and well-rested, even if I've had a late night. It's easy to apply and easy to blend and the packaging makes it convenient to carry around. I wouldn't use this as a concealer for blemishes, though, as it is too light.

Treatments (Eye) -La Mer - Eye Concentrate
rated 3 of 5
Whend1212 10/19/2012 2:45:00 PM

This product is ok, but nothing special and not worth the high price tag. I've been using it for about about two months and I find it moisterizes well but haven't noticed more than that. I don't expect miracles and usually for me, if a cream/lotion hydrates my skin and doesn't hurt it, I'm happy. But given the cost, I was hoping to see more. I think you could get similar results from a less expensive product. That said, it didn't cause any redness or breakouts and the silver tipped applicator feels really nice. If I have puffiness, I rinse the applicator under cool water to make it extra cold and rub it back and forth under my eyes, which seems to help. A little of the concentrate goes a long way and make up goes on fine on top. It stung the first two times I used it but then, after that, I didn't notice any irritation.

Concealers -Make Up For Ever - Full Cover Concealer
rated 5 of 5
Whend1212 10/19/2012 2:03:00 PM

I'm giving this a 5 but will point out that the full score is for use of the product as cover up for blemishes, not as an under eye concealer. This works amazingly as a blemish cover up. It's very creamy, goes on smoothly, stays on the whole day, has a matte finish and covers pimples/blemishes flawlessly. Although the latter maybe because I just got lucky and have a skin tone that matches one of their shades (lightly tanned, asian skin with shade #8), but they have many shades so shouldn't be too hard to find a a suitable color. I've been using it for over a year and am still always amazed at how well it hides blemishes. Just a tiny dab goes a long way too so one tube lasts me over 6 months. However, I didn't like it at all as an undereye concealer. It's quite heavy as an undereye concealer, and fell into the fine lines, making them more apparent.

Moisturizers -Clinique - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel
rated 4 of 5
Whend1212 10/19/2012 1:48:00 PM

This product effectively moisterizes my face without ever breaking out my combination/oily skin. With that skin type and living in a humid climate, finding a daily moisterizer that doesn't cause breakouts took a while but I've stopped searching after using DDMG. I use it as both my daily moisterizer and night cream (at night I use it on top of a serum), and am happy with the the results. It's very gentle and the pump is hygenic. The only big downside is it doesn't have SPF.

Masks -SKII - Facial Treatment Mask
rated 5 of 5
Whend1212 10/19/2012 1:36:00 PM

I would highly recommend this mask. It's super moisterizing, softens the skin and leaves a really nice glow that lasts for a few days. It leaves the face with a dewy look. I use it twice a week and have noticed an improvement in my skin. Yes, for a mask it's expensive, but ever since I started dilligently following a daily an at home skin care routine, which includes the masks, I've stopped getting facials. I feel that the post mask result is as good or even better than a facial. When you compare the cost per mask to the cost of getting regular facials, its much cheaper, so for me it's worth it. I usually only use it before bed. It can feel a little sticky after and makeup doesn't go on well on top. If i do plan to apply makeup, I have to rinse off the essence after removing the mask, otherwise it becomes flakey. I leave it on for about 30 minutes.

Cleansers -Shu Uemura - Cleansing Beauty Oil Premium A/O
rated 2 of 5
Whend1212 10/19/2012 1:19:00 PM

This product made me breakout consistently for the two months I was using it. Tiny little bumps appeared all over my forehead and bigger pimples popped up on my chin. At first I didn't think that it could be this product causing the problem because the reviews were so good, the sales person had assured me that the oil base wouldn't clog my pores and I rinsed really thoroughly after each use. I thought it must be other products so I changed those products and kept using the oil and the pimples persisted. I finally stopped using the Shu Uemura oil cleanser and the breakouts disappeared. To be fair, it's a very efffective cleanser. It removed dirt and took off makeup very well, and the packaging is beautiful. But it just didn't suit my combination skin.

Treatments -The Body Shop - tea tree oil
rated 5 of 5
Whend1212 10/19/2012 12:57:00 PM

This is the first tea tree oil product I've ever used and now I'm a believer! I had a big cyst-like pimple deep under my skin that didn't go away for weeks. Just a few hours after the first application, I noticed the lump became significantly smaller. I was shocked by how fast it worked. I used the oil another three times and after that the pimple completely disapppeared. I've had the same experience when I've applied it to other breakouts. I don't use it daily. I just keep it around when I notice the early stages of a breakout and apply it to that specific area. It really controls the oil and minimizes the breakout. Results can be seen after just one or two applications. It stings a little, but I figure that's just the oil working, the way an antiseptic gel would sting on a cut.

Cleansers -Dermalogica - Essential Cleansing Solution
rated 5 of 5
Whend1212 10/2/2011 6:41:00 AM

I would highly recommend this product. It's my favorite cleanser and ever since I started using it, I rarely break out. I was having a lot of trouble with breakouts for a year, after moving to a very humid climate and was spending a lot of money on facials. Even the facials didn't do much to help the acne. Then i started using this cleanser and the breakouts almost all stopped. The bottle recommends cleansing twice but I just use it once, applied generously all over the face, and then rinse and that seems to work fine. But I don't used much make up so if you do, you may want to do the double wash. This doesn't take off eye make-up so an eye makeup remover is still needed. It's creamy and feels moisterizing too. I love the pump because it's hygenic.
