I have yellow undertones and this is gorgeous on me. Pale without making me look like a corpse. Enough shimmer to make my lips look sexy but not cheap. Revlon had better not discontinue or change the formula for this!
Eye Shadow -Cover Girl - CG Smoothers Gel Eye Color-- Ginger frost

Cover Girl used to sell a lighter peachy pink color that worked perfectly as an inner corner highlighter, since silver and white shades are too light and harsh on me. For some reason they discontinued it and I was hoping this would work, but it's a shade too dark. Now I just use it to highlight the center of my lid when I want a bit of sparkle.
This eye pencil is too soft and crumbles away when sharpened, wasting a lot of product. It needs to be in different packaging, perhaps a swivel up type pencil. I love the Olive color, a slightly shimmery neutral green.
Eye Shadow -Prestige - Let Loose Shimmering Shadow Dust

I was looking for an inner corner highlighter and tried Jump, which is supposed to be a fleshtone, which I figured would be more subtle than white or silver. Wrong! This is so light reflective that you can't even see the color. And talk about wasteful packaging -- 3" of the tube is applicator with only about an inch worth of product. I accidentally applied some below my eye and it was almost impossible to scrape off, so you need to be especially careful with this product.
Lipstick -Rimmel - Lasting Finish - Burning Desire

This is an orangey red with shimmer. I'm not crazy about the taste. The lipstick lasts longer than a creamier version might but the tradeoff is that it is slightly drying. In the tube, it looked a bit too bright and when I first applied it, it seemed too bright. However, I found out that the trick is to use a lipbrush to apply very thinly. Then it becomes a very flattering shade with just enough brightness to enliven my sallow skin tone.
I bought this in black brown and it was very dark and opaque. It flakes off in spots. Like every liquid liner I've ever used, this settles into the tiny cracks on inner part of my eyelids nearest the nose, where the lashes are sparse. Like lipstick "feathers" on your lips in those tiny vertical lines. So, unless your lids are perfectly smooth, this will not look good. Pencil liner is much more forgiving, as well as being easier to control.
I just tried a sample of this and, initially, thought it was lovely and very different with subtle spice. Then it gradually dried down to a rather bland, generic warm scent. An hour later and I can barely smell it at all. At those prices, there is no way I would buy something that disappears so quickly.
I own and love Eau des Merveilles, so I figured Elixir wouldn't be much different. Wrong! Totally different. It's a deep, warm, sexy, spicy, sandalwood, incense type fragrance. Going to the top of my wishlist!
Reading the reviews, I am kind of surprised at the variety of notes in this. On me, it smells like a combination of a dirty ashtray and a stale cup of coffee.
Fortunately, I didn't pay for this but received a sample from a generous swapper. On me, it smells like generic red Jello or red Kool-Aid. Very cheap smelling.
This is a cut above most eau fraiches out there, and I have quite a few of them, since they are refreshing, especially for summer. The "mystery" note in this citrus blend is sage. Gives it an earthy, herbal feeling with more depth and complexity than others in this category.
I was looking for something different and I found it. I just sampled it at Sephora and was so impressed that I bought the 1 oz bottle on the spot for only $35. The top note of mint sold it. It kind of reminds me of The Afternoon, by Dawn Spencer Hurwitz, which I've always meant to buy but now I won't have to because L'eau fills that gap in my fragrance collection. Refreshing and soft and clean, perhaps due to the cedar note. It has vanilla, which I don't usually like, but only the barest hint in the form of subtle sweetness. The lily isn't sharp, but soft. I don't normally like aquatic or ozonic type fragrances but this is the perfect mix of notes. I agree with the others that it is very long lasting. It's a very hot sweaty day today and after three hours, this fragrance is still readily apparent but not overppowering at all.
This fragrance turns my boyfriend on. It is a sexy, womanly scent and I feel sorry for all you women who can't wear it. No, on second thought, I don't. Who wants to smell like every other woman? I'll leave that to Glow and Paris Hilton and Still and all those other interchangeable dept store fragrances.
If you like those tepid, boring floral fruity department store fragrances, this isn't for you. If you like spicy and incensy fragrances like Shalimar, Cinnabar, Les Nuits de Hadrien, Winter Delice, Mizan, Youth Dew or Opium, you will love this. I have ALL of the above. Frankly, I don't understand the curry comparisons. I cook Indian food and it never smells like Bobo!
I just got a sample of this and am loving it, which surprised me since I don't like the original Youth Dew (but maybe I should give it a second chance). After an hour now, it is reminding me of Opium and Cinnabar, very incensey. The SA said it has all the original YD notes plus jasmine and I forgot what else.
