Before I start with the actual review, I'll state this briefly: I'm Asian, NC20, Yellow undertone and depending on the weather then I'll either be oily or normal, but generally, I have fairly normal skin. I got this product for about $15 USD so basically it was a bargain ^^ The packaging was neat and simple (Chic, almost?) and the fact that you can open the lid will actually save you money rather than buying another one when you think that it has ran out. Immediately after receiving it, I had to try it on my skin to see what all the fuss was about. Results? It had a powdery finish (funny, because some people claim it to be dewy), dry, cakey and...Slightly disappointing. It was also very pale despite me being an NC20 and my friend looked noticeably whiter with it on. But to beat it's dryness, I went home and applied a moisturiser then JUST enough of the BB cream to cover my whole face. Now, I can finally see how it turns dewy :) It wasn't as powdery as before which is a thumbs up and the coverage was good. Generally, it would be a medium but if you're willing to build it up then maybe even a full? But that is also when it will become cakey. Pros: +Good coverage +Awesome packaging +High SPF of 50 +Benefits to the skin +Slight oil control +Dewy (or slightly matte) Cons: -High SPF also means paler skin -Fragrance smells weird but tolerated -Slightly hard to spread without moisturiser
A bit pricey but worth it :) The first time I've used it, I didn't know that in order to get all the gunk out better, you have to (either) use baking soda or soak your face in warm water to loosen the blackheads and open the pores. And because of this, only about 5 or 7 blackheads were removed. Felt a bit disappointed until I heard about the methods. 4 days later (Today) I tried it again after walking out of the shower. I was positive that the steam had opened my pores real good so I quickly put on the strip. While removing it, I could easily see the black heads being pulled off (sorry for grossing you out lol) and once I was done, there was about 15 or more blackheads. O_O pretty icky. I know. I recommend this product to people who wouldn't mind trying a new brand thats a bit pricey like Biore. I know that it wouldn't work for all of us especially people with sensitive skin because it will hurt...Thankfully, it didn't for me. And don't just rip the damn thing off, take your time when removing it. I heard that more will be removed like this.
When I first applied it, I was surprised to see how long my lashes became. It was a smooth but clumpy...I've managed to deal with that. Also, why would someone make a mascara that last 24hrs when it's bad to wear it over night? Or is this product safe to do so? who knows...Okay, so after the first step, I then applied the top coat (number 2) and my lashes suddenly looked extremely long and full. Not the best I've used but I'm happy with it. I then curled it then used a brush to remove most of the clumps. It tinted and darken my lashes well and apparently it's build-able too. Overall...it's good. Not the best on the market but it's good for the price I got for it lol
I don't know why people are complaining about it smudging. People! This is for a smokey eye look. It smudges like that on purpose...or get some eye primer. Anyways, I've just bought this today and have it on now to see if it's the same as my other eyeliner. But because I don't have a primer, it is starting to slip and slide a little but can be easily wiped off with my finger. When applying it, I was surprised at it's soft texture. Like a soft clay. This made the application easy and smooth. I might even replace my liquid liner for this. But the thing that concerns me is that because this is so soft, what if I sharpen it one day and it keeps breaking off? T_T Plus, because it is so soft, it might not last as long...the pencil is only 15cm or so >< I bought this along with the Maybelline XXL pro 24hr mascara (it came together) for $10NZD. To me that is dead cheap and works better than I had expected. I really don't recommend this product to people who wants to wear it on a day where you are expected to cry because this is not waterproof..sadly...
Omg I love this Lipcolor! It stayed on for quite a long time (16 hours long XD) and the color selections are gorgeous. I had Stay on Fire. I also love the lip balm too. It didn't smudge the lip color and it made my lips so smooth and soft! Some people are just complaining about it not lasting long is because they never leave it on for at least 1min before applying the lip balm. If you apply the lip balm on straight away then the color will not last long.
The bad: Clearasil said that this cream was to "Vanish" once applied but NOTHING like that happened. The cream left a whitish powder on my skin and even when I smoothed it out you could still see the whitish outline of the area that it was applied to. It takes about 2 days for the pimple to get smaller and less red and about a week for it to be fully gone. A very strong smell too but that does not bother me as much as the white marks it leaves. The good: I would use this trick almost every night before I go to bed. I would squeeze a small amount of this and just smear it all over my T-zone, and because I'm not going out or anything even when it leaves a white mark I won't really care. It also controls oil...for a while. And because it dries up I don't have to worry about it getting on my clothes.
For me, this product was an "Okay" kind of one. I had incredibly oily skin that time due to stress and this face wash controlled that oil well. It also took a while for me to see any differences. Almost a month? It also prevented breakouts pretty well but I really didn't see the point of Neutrogena making this one for acne/breakouts then making the pink grapefruit one for acne/breakouts AND blackheads instead of combining it into one product...they even cost the same here! The first week of using it I was so annoyed! The oil was gone but my skin became extremely dry and red patches appeared after using it. But strangely enough, about 1-2 weeks later I'v noticed that every time I use it my skin would become very soft and smooth. Also, my acne was clearing up too. But even though it was my companion for some time, I don't think I will be buying it again.
This product is amazing! I was kinda worried when buying it ($10 NZD) because of my sensitive skin and there was no warning at the back saying whether it's suitable for sensitive skin or not. By the time I came home, I started to exfoliate my whole face with this product and after a few seconds there was a cooling yet stinging feeling on my skin. Thinking that it was just the exfoliating that was irritating my skin, I tried it as a mask. While I was applying it on my dry face that cooling sensation came again but this time it was a lot more irritating. While I was waiting for my face to dry I started to read the back of it to see why it was stinging so much and found out that it was the Eucalyptus. I honestly don't recommend this product for people who has severely sensitive skin (my one is only slightly) because it will hurt! While I was rinsing my face I've noticed that it became a lot smoother and softer. After drying and taking a closer look, most of my blackheads are gone, my oily skin is better, excess sebum are gone, and my pores are deeply cleaned (no more of those oil and yucky build ups) Overall, this product is awesome! It deeply cleanses your pores, removes blackheads, dirt and oil. Leaves it very soft too.But except for the fact that it stings a bit but thats just because I have sensitive skin myself. UPDATE: 3MONTHS LATER. Well, It has been 3 months and during those 3 months, my skin is visibly becoming healthier, clearer, and softer. My main problem was acne scars, sebum and oil. But after using this product, my skin has improved alot. It doesn't sting like before but instead, it is giving me a "cooling" effect. Overall, I think I'm gonna buy this again XD
