My best friend actually gave me this product for Christmas and I never used it. I've always wanted to try a dry shampoo for a while, but I don't have oily hair or get much build up of any kind. I religiously wash my hair every other day, so build up is never an issue for me.. But for some reason tonight, I put too much product in my hair and it felt really greasy and just not nice. I was debating on getting back in the shower to just rewash my hair...then I remembered about this stuff, so I gave it a try.. AND IT WORKED WONDERFULLY! It completely got rid of the greasy feeling from the leave-in conditioner, my hair felt clean again and I was amazed at how quickly it did the job! I didn't have to use a ton and it just worked like a charm! I will definitely repurchase this hair product! The scent isn't over powering at all and..well, it's just amazing stuff!
Mascara -L'Oreal - Telescopic Explosion in Blackest Black
VegasGirlatHeart 2/4/2010 2:21:00 AM
LOVE this mascara! It's amazing! I bought it for the intention of using for my bottom lashes..and it makes applying mascara to those tiny lashes a breeze! Notthe most volumizing mascara..but what it lacks in volume, it makes up in lengthening power twice over! For a drugstore macara..it's a little pricey..but compared to Givenchy's Phenomen'Eyes (at around $30), it's dirt cheap! My only problem is how long the wand is...the Phenomen'Eyes' wand is much shorter (now I'm talken the wand itself, not the bristles), and I feel with the shorter wand, that I have much more control then I do with the Telescopic Explosions very long and skinny wand. Other than that one downfall for me, I absolutely love this mascara and will continue to repurchase the rest of my life!
This lipstick COMPLETELY covers any pigmentation on your lips! It's a little bit too nude to wear by itself for me..I definitely use a colored gloss over it. But if you want a really nude lip, go buy this lipstick! The pigmentation is absolutely amazing! Plus, the texture is very comfortable.
This soap and me have a love hate relationship....I love it because it's just an amazing soap! However, two cons are 1) It's scent is minty..which I don't like in a soap and 2) This soap is quite hard to cut. No big deal, but it it's a very creamy soap...
I was really hesitant on trying this soap because it says there are dry fruits within the soap...and I really didn't like the idea of rubbing dried fruit on my skin...but I decided to give it a go. I've used this for the last few nights now and I'm quite impressed! The smell is okay, but it did smell better in the shower oddly enough..and it lathers amazingly! I don't have a problem with Lush soaps not lathering up, but this one created a fluffy white lather. And the one thing that really stood out from the many other soaps I've tried? The scent actually lingers on your skin! Other soaps may smell wonderful in the shower, but afterwards, the scent doesn't linger. Definitely HIGHLY Recommend this product..and ALL of Lush's products in general..but definitely, this is a must try and love!
Misc Beauty Tools -E.L.F. - Makeup Remover Cleansing Cloths

These makeup removing wipes are quite expensive for what you get. You get 20 cloths in one pack for $3.00. BUT, if you can get your hands on a studio line coupon code for half off, that'll make them $1.50..which is a pretty good deal! I've been using Target brand makeup removes, but I HAD to switch because they were making my eyes sting..which isn't fun...so I ordered tese about two weeks ago and have been loving them. About the packaging, they're your standard makeup wipes packaging, but besides from just having the sticky plastic piece to reseal the hole, there is also a snap top plastic thingy on top..so you know your wipes won't dry out. About the product. It removes my mascara and gel eye liners easily. And when I use it to clean off my face makeup, concealer, foundation, blush, bronzer..and what not, it sweeps t all away and leaves you skin feeling refreshed. And it doesn't dry out your skin either! Recommendation: HIGHLY
Loose Powders -E.L.F. - Studio High Definition Powder
VegasGirlatHeart 11/22/2009 2:51:00 PM
This is an amazing, fairly new product from ELF. It's supposed to be used as a finishing powder to create a soft focus effect on the skin, with use with either an HD camera or camcorder. Price wise, for ELF, it's probably one of the more expensive makeup products, at $6. But I think it's definitely worth the price. You get a generous amount of product and you really don't need to use much of it to cover the entire face. How I've been using it: I've been using as a setting powder over my foundation. I use ELF's Studio Line powder brush. It's a flat top brush. There are a few times where I've spilled some of the product...even with a sifter, it's spillable...lol...but the texture is kind of a "slippery" feeling. It looks white, but goes on translucent. The packaging is simple. It's a black, square-ish container with a screw off top. Inside comes with a powder poof...and a sifter. It's a matte plastic container..so it kind of looks sleek.
This is a new product from ELF. It's a weekly brush shampoo! This is the first time I've seen a shampoo specialized for cleaning your makeup brushes. I've always just used baby shampoo to clean my brushes, but after using this one..I noticed my brushes were coming a lot cleaner and it is conditioning the brush's bristles too! The pakcaging is a clear black squeezy bottle. It doesn't have a scent. And it looks like a small bottle, but you really don't need much to clean an entire brush collection!
Yes, you heard me right! ELF now has a BRUSH CLEANSER! I'm so excited that ELF released this product! Because MAC brush cleanser is so expensive, I never got around to buying it, and learned how to make my own brush cleanser...it got the job done..but it didn't do the best of jobs. ELF's brush cleanser is really nice. It has an amazing scent! It comes in a cool modern-y bottle. It's a clear black spray bottle. It works great too! It cleans the brushes out well, and it dries quickly...but living in a non-humid climate, my brushes always dried quickly, but it still did an amazing job! AND, it's only $3!!! You NEED THIS!!! (:
Primer/ Corrector -E.L.F. - Mineral Infused Face Primer
VegasGirlatHeart 11/17/2009 4:55:00 PM
So this is a new product in the E.L.F Studio line. I've been looking to buy a face primer for the past three months. But because I don't have problem skin what-so-ever, I didn't feel like I needed to spend $45 on one. So I never bought one. A few weeks ago, I was browsing the ELF site, when I came across this new product. So of course I had to order it. I was really excited to get it in, and give it a try. What could I lose? It's only $6! Which by ELF terms, is probably one of their most expensive items...but compared to other primer brands...this is DIRT CHEAP! My thoughts about the product..I LOVE IT! You only need a tiny bit for your entire face. It feels really good on the skin, and really does help keep your makeup looking flawless all day. Now, I don't live in a humid place, so I don't know how it will work for the rest of the world, but here in Vegas..it's perfect!!
I bought this soap for the first time...I had ordered it from the Lush UK site..so I had to rely on the scent/ingredient discriptions. It's a really light fruity scent..nice, but not a very strong scent. This soap is a pretty pink color that has regular glitter and star glitters on it. Of course those wash right off, but it still looks pretty. Compared to many other Lush soaps, this doesn't feel very creamy..more glycerin based than butters...to me. It still smells good...in my top 5 for sure!
The scent of this soap is more of a natural pineapple..rather than a super sweet pineapple flavoring scent..which is exactly what I was hoping it would be! This is a retro soap from Lush..so I believe it can only be purchased online..which I ordered from the Lush UK site.. Now I've heard some people say that Lush soaps don't lather well..I have not have had that issue. Granted it's not going to be flying bubbles everywhere..but I do get a rather nice lather from all of Lush's soaps...don't know if it's my skin..or if having a water softener makes a difference? But this soap smells lovely! I'll be buying more very soon!!
Skincare - Body -LUSH - Strawberry Feels Forever massage bar
VegasGirlatHeart 10/25/2009 3:15:00 AM
I bought this one for really no reason. I guess it was an impulse buy..but when I got it (since I ordered it from Lush UK)...the smell immediately turned me off...but I was determined to love this one because it's pink and looks like a strawberry..lol..good reasoning right? I went backa couple hours later and resniffed it...The first thing time it turned me off because it smelled like chocolate..which I love chocolate..but not chocolate scented things..especially things I'll be rubbing on my body. But the second time I went to smell it..I was able to get passed the first initial chocolatiness and smell the strawberriness...and am now in love it!!
Eh..I want to say yes to repurchasing it..but the smell bothers me a bit. I really don't understand how people love this scent... The main reason why I bought it is because it's supposed to do wonders for stretch marks..but it's a bit too soon for me to see any difference. But the smell is a bit repelling for me. I just use this on my problem areas and that's it...
YES YES YES YES YES! I absolutely adore the scent of this soap! It's so sweet and delicious! This is in my top three favorite scents from Lush..just follwing ROCK STAR! If anything..buy the soap (unfortunately it is a retro soap, so you can only buy online), but buy this soap for the intoxicating scent!
