Eye Shadow -NARS - El Dorado

I can not live with out this! I take it with me everywhere and wear it every day. The colour is perfect for day or night, and will last until you wash it off. It's great alone, shadow over it, or pat on top of your favorite shadow. The pale gold goes great with any skin tone and eye colour, especially on bronzed skin. The size is cute and compact, and even though it looks like it might not be a lot and cost too much, but that little shadow will last you for well over a year. As as makeup artist, and beauty junkie, I am telling, this is something every girl needs to have!

Liquid -Christian Dior - Diorskin Airflash
Vada 10/5/2011 8:59:00 PM
This is one of the few products that I really am impressed with that Dior makes. It gives an amazing result with such ease and so quickly. It does give that airbrushed effect, although a little more heavy than actual airbrushed foundation. I have used it countless times on clients and not a single one of them was unsatisfied with it. Once it settled into the skin, you couldn't even tell it was there. and lasted all day. It's great for long days, weddings, & ect. You don't have to set it with powder making it great for touching up, an not getting cakey. After experimenting with a few different application methods, I found it goes on the best with Dior's (or anyone else that is very similar) big kabuki brush. Just spray a light layer right onto the brush then buff into the skin in a curricular motion starting in the center of face and working outward, and repeat as many times as needed to build the desired coverage. The only down side is the very poor shade range it comes in. it starts at a medium level, and stays there. Shade 301 is a great yellow beige that seems to match most medium tan skin. The rest I found to be horribly pink, or orange sadly. So it's an amazing product if you fit into it's narrow shade range.

Mascara -Christian Dior - Diorshow Extase Flash Plumping Mascara
Vada 10/5/2011 5:06:00 PM
I worked as a makeup artist for Dior, & had a lot of experience using this mascara. To be honest, even though a lot of girls swore by it, I found it to be one of the worst and overpriced mascaras I have ever used. It was extremely thick and a clumpy, causing lashes to clump together nearly every time I tried to apply it. Regardless of the wands i used, from the exact one it came with, to even mac's and lancome's wands, it was horrible every time I used it. It runs horribly, and takes forever to set as well. Then trying to wash it off at the end of the day took the most heavy duty remover I had, and there was still pigment everywhere. I can almost always find a way to make a mascara work on clients and myself, but this once as a lost cause. The price is much too high seeing as all claims it makes I didn't find true. The only thing I did like was the tube, and two limited shades in Plum & Taupe they had.

Liquid -Chanel - Vitalumiere Aqua

As a makeup artist, I have to say, this is hands down one of the best liquids I have ever used. It is ultra lightweight with a flawless natural finish. You will need to conceal after though as it is not a full coverage. Clients always love the finish, and I am constantly complemented whenever I wear it. I suggest using a primer before hand; Chanel's Illuminating base works great underneath or mixed with the foundation. I mix the base with the foundation to lighten the shade as it's a pinch too dark for me. Then apply directly with the fingers to the face blending well, and outwards. I have tried several different tools, and as indicated by the instructions, fingers work the best. This foundation is great for anyone looking for a quick easy flawless medium coverage. The price is fair for the quality, and should last around the six month mark. The only downside to this product: the lack of color range for yellow based skin tones, and medium to dark skin tones.
