Top/Base Coats -Sally Hansen - SalIy Hansen Insta-Dri Anti-Chip Top Coat
rated 5 of 5
Ultrapink 6/15/2012 5:00:00 PM

Best anti-chip plus fast drying top coat ever without any doubt. All you've heard about this product is absolutely true: it dries in 30 secs, it's long lasting, only one coat is needed and it comes with a big brush that makes it easy and smooth to apply. Much better that Poshe or Seche vite (which I don't like at all since they tend to peel easily) imo. What I like most is the fact that it keeps glossy for several days and my nails seem intact from 5 to 7 days, not kidding! This happends with my regular China Glaze polishes, but when I use it with the Deborah Lippmann Mermaid's dream...that's another story...it turns almost impossible to chip, and it's still a bit hard to remove after one week!!! Not forget to mention that I don't feel my nails scratchy with just 1 coat. I highly recommend giving this a try 'cause I'm really impressed by this stuff.

Styling Products -TiGi - Candy Fixations - Totally Baked
rated 5 of 5
Ultrapink 4/29/2012 5:46:00 PM

HG volume product alert!!! I've got fine treated hair and I'm always in the haunt of hq volume stuff and this one is just amazing. It smells heavenly, the packaging is so cute and really easy to use and the product itself works wonders, not kidding. It's a soufflé texture, and you need just a little amount of product in order to get best results. So soft and light that it's really easy to work with. I've got long hair and it gives me tons of volume that last until next day. For those worried about the smelling, is just yummy, true lemon cake, but it fades a little when applied so it's not overpowering. Best styling product I've ever came across what it's too much since I'm a product junkie, a better version of JF luxurious mousse or Tresemme Mega hold in terms of results, and definitely a better alternative to high-end brands. Highly recommended. UPDATE:Be extremely careful with the amount of product you use, otherwise you'll get dirty and sticky hair. For your consideration, I've got long hair and I use two pumps for the entire head, one for roots and the other for mid-end part.

Treatments -Christian Dior - Capture Totale One Essential Skin Boosting Super Serum
rated 5 of 5
Ultrapink 3/23/2012 11:56:00 AM

I cannot stop talking about the wonders of this stuff. This is one of those products I thought (mistaken) it was just brand marketing, but trust me, it's not. I came across with it by chance 'cause I was given a sample at my regular counter. It is absolutely true that you'll be seeing results JUST while using it, this is due to it's main task: detox your skin, but meanwhile...OMG this is perfection. It keeps oilies at bay, it reduces my rosacea, it softens my fine lines, it soothes skin amazingly and it minimizes my pores plus it sinks right away and it's a good primer. Results: radiant and improved skin. I tried both CHD one essential and Lancôme Visionnaire which are supposed to be matching products but I have to say that I felt my skin oilier and not that radiant with LV as I did with CHD's. Another issue to be mentioned here about LV: I hate the smell!!! It's soooo weird. Anyway, it's an expensive product, yes, but it does what it promises, and if you're really concerned about getting results think about adding this to your daily skin care 'cause it's really important to have a detox skin in order to get results with your regular treatment. Worth every penny.

Polishes -China Glaze - Red Pearl
rated 5 of 5
Ultrapink 2/24/2012 12:54:00 PM

Absolutely hg product for me!!! I've been in the haunt of that perfect red for months and I finally got it. It's a true metallic red that clearly reminds me of Xmas tree balls. It´s just perfect. In the beggining I thought I had found it with OPI's An Affair in red square, but this is more on the crimson side and much darker. CHG red pearl is truer & redder, and it's gorgeous in the sun light. A spicy alternative to creamy reds.

Lipstick -Christian Dior - Diorific La Dolce Vita Rouge
rated 5 of 5
Ultrapink 2/19/2012 12:23:00 PM

I've been in the haunt of the perfect red since I already have several reds for months, and now I can honestly say this is the one. My five faves at the moment are: Armani Rouge Scarlatto LE (Dark blood red) Chanel Dragon (same as AR) Guerlain Rouge G Garçonne LE (True cherry red blue base) Mac Russian Red (same as GRG) Dior Dolce Vita. This one is a true vibrant red, the type of red you think about when someone says ferrari, and it's just perfection. I'd say it's a perfect blend of Mac RR and Ruby Woo but with lasting power and the non-dryness of the Armani range. It's a perfect dupe for the Chanel Audace lipstick without bleeding issues, and the packaging is amazing, a fluted golden bottle vintage style. Everything in this lipstick is great, even the price 'cause it's on Chanel-Guerlain's level, but cheaper, at least in Europe. Outstanding lippie, highly recommended.

Blush -Chanel - Blush Horizon de Chanel - Soft Glow Blush
rated 5 of 5
Ultrapink 1/15/2012 4:36:00 PM

I wish this highlighting-blush were permanent, but unfortunately, it isn't, so I guess the best you can do is run and go for it before it's gone. This stuff is just amazing, and it has not been a surprise 'cause I already own other products from the brand and I always reach the same consecuence: they're simply HQ products with beautiful and classy packaging. If you already have another chanel blush, you'll get similar results in terms of pigmentation. It also goes smooth and it melts perfectly well into the skin. It follows Chanel's policy of "second skin feeling". Everything said about the colour range, I will compare it to other brands for your consideration. At first sight, it strongly reminds Guerlain's Blush G serie noire, but you have to know that while BG is deeper coral, due to the orangy row, ChH has more a flush effect, that's why I call it highlighting-blush. If you consider the blended colour effect it's quite similar to Nars Orgasm, but NO is more in the pink side while ChH is on the coral one, and remember you can either use the upper side to get a pinky finish or the lower one if you want to get corals. Maybe closer to Deep Throat (but more pink) or Super Orgasm (without the annoying shimmer, Chanel is definetely glowy not shimmery) Another thing I find to be a pro is the fact that ChH photographs extremely beautiful. It gives such a gorgeous glow used along my beloved meteorites, that you look like an angel. Gorgeous!!! No breakouts, no itchy feelings, no problems with oilies and very good staying power. Absolutely a must. Pricey, but it worths every single penny. (55 euros for a 15 gr. pot)

Misc Beauty Tools -Clarisonic - Mia
rated 5 of 5
Ultrapink 1/9/2012 12:29:00 PM

I got mine as a Xmas gift, and along with the Mason Pearson brush, it has become my favourite tool. It's just amazing, and you can get results really fast, I saw them from the very beginnig, during the first three days to be exact. For your considertaion, I have combo normal-oily t-zone, I'm almost 28, and I've been experimenting weird breakouts during the last year due to stress. This baby helps amazingly with enlarged pores, blemishes and of course, reducing my t-zone oilies. I've noticed my skin to be much more softer and smooth, and while I keep on using the same cleanser (Dove Beauty bar) I feel that any product I put my face on, absorbs deep an quicker, which is a pro. I use it twice a day, with sensitive brush, and I feel my skin really exfoliated but extremely moisturized. I really think it's an investment, and it truly worth the price. Maybe the best tool I've have ever bought. If you're doubtful which colour to choose, I got mine in turquoise, and it's between Tiffany blue and teal, more on the robin egg blue side. Highly recommended.

Mascara -Giorgio Armani - Eyes to Kill - Excess Mascara
rated 5 of 5
Ultrapink 12/21/2011 10:23:00 AM

HG product alert!!! Really amazig stuff. I've tested almost every single brand out there, no matter the price, and I have three winners: Helena Rubinstein (Felina range) YSL (Faux cils range) Armani (Eyes to Kill range including of course Excess) I was more on the HR side, but I started using Dior Maximizer plumping serum (check my review) and I found out my lashes to be clumpy by using those, so I turned into YSL until I finally tried Eyes to kill excess. I just can say WoW... I get quite close HR Extravaganza effect, in fact, ETK has same brush, but with no clumps. It does not smell perfumey as YSL does and the staying power is amazing. It gives a gorgeous wet black effect that make lashes look like falsies in a babydoll way. HQ product and great packaging too, heavy and classy.

Lipstick -Giorgio Armani - Rouge d' Armani
rated 5 of 5
Ultrapink 12/9/2011 12:36:00 PM

This review is for RA 406 limited edition in Scarlatto. This is more than a great lipstick, it's simply divine. It is smoothy, silky and it has a really good staying power. It is a creamy satin vamp red, more on the brownish side than on the hot pink one and it truly reminds me to a roof tile with a hint of red. Absolutely classy and a must for this season. It's quite close to the colour you see in the advert, what rarely happends, and though it's directed to cooler undertones, I'm mediterranean and I can assure it looks gorgeous on me! It's perfect, really, and extremely wearable, both day and night. If you were expecting towards that perfect red, this is, though it's expensive, it really worths the price.

Liquid -Chanel - Vitalumiere Aqua
rated 5 of 5
Ultrapink 10/25/2011 6:23:00 PM

Absolutely love this stuff. I've got medium to tanned combination oily t-zone skin and I don't need too much coverage. I'm a MAC: NC 30-35 (a tad yellow for me) Nars SG: Barcelona (not as yellow but still a little bit) so when I decided to give this foundation a try I was among this three: VA B40 VA BA40 VA B50 I did not consider BR40 because I have warm to golden undertone, and this one is definetely too pinky. BA40 was too dark, good for closer months to summer, but not during next months, B50 was almost perfect but after a couple of hours it oxidized in a darker way and I found it kind of yellowish. Then I finally tried B40 and I fell in love. In the beginning I thought it was a bit light, but when I put on my laguna bronzer and a touch of blush I saw it: yeah man, this is the perfect match! It looks beautiful. Velvety satin finish but definitely glowy not dewy though. Yes, it is like a second skin, and I don't find my t-zone look oily even after 10 hours. It feels like you have nothing on your skin and I did not had breakouts either. It's expensive, yes, but its worth the price, however, I don't like the plastic bottle, it seems to be a cheap product! Even though, it's really useful if you travel a lot. Anyway, I think this is a great foundation, at least the best I've found after trying Nars, Mac, MUFE, Estee Lauder, Dior...if you're looking for a medium to light coverage and a natural satin finish, if not, you'll need much product or you'll find it a little matte.

Hair Styling Tools -Conair - Instant Heat 1" Curling Iron
rated 5 of 5
Ultrapink 10/24/2011 6:01:00 PM

If you're one of those girls with straight, fine, limp or hard to curl hair continue reading: Lets face it: I don't mind spending money if the product worth the hype, but after reading lots of reviews, I decided to give a try to conair. Now, after a couple of weeks using this, I can say this is a wonderful curler. For your consideration I've got fine japanese straightened hair, and after 10 years of straight hair, I decided to curl it for the first time. I started trying to manage a bedhead look, and I got it, then I tried with the beachy look, and I got it too, but when I tried to get big waves, oh gosh, what a mess! I must confess I don't get used with ringlets yet, they fall down easily due to the straightening, but I've achieved a gorgeous tousled/curled look with my 1" conair. I've tried several brands and I must say this is the best curler I've found and I couldn't even believe it 'cause it's dirty cheap. I know there will be some other better curlers out there, but boy, this works. If this small girl does these beautiful soft, smoothy, frizz free waves for me, remember I've treated hair, imagine what she can do for you!!!

Lipstick -Bobbi Brown - Creamy Lip Color - Coral Pink
rated 4 of 5
Ultrapink 6/7/2011 2:57:00 PM

I'm actually on my second tube of this and will repurchase it when finishes. I took 1 lippie out because, due to it´s creamy consistency, you MUST reapply this constantly if you want to keep it setted. As other reviewers said it's a pinky coral, more in the pink side imo, with just a hint of shimmer, the right amount to get plumpy lips. I was not going to review this, but last night, I watched Gossip Girl's 4x19 episode (Petty in pink) and I realized this was the gorgeous lipstick Blair is wearing in front of the mirror when she's dressed in Oscar De la Renta. In the beginning I thought Wow! What a stunning lippie, and a couple of minutes later I remembered it was my beloved pink coral. So, if you are one of those who wondered which lipstick coul be, voilà!!! It's this.

Lipstick -MAC - Lipstick in Hibiscus
rated 5 of 5
Ultrapink 5/16/2011 5:37:00 AM

This is such a natural orangey red that should be a must-have for this summer. It's creamy, moistourizing and it does not feel thick at all. The staying power it's quite decent talking about a cremesheen and the colour payoff it's really nice. I find it's quite close to LE Toxic Tale but without the annoying dryness, however, Hibiscus it´s not that bright, so if you girls want a more vibrant colour, you can use TT first and Hibiscus on top instead of a gloss, the result is just stunnig!!! Perfect look for summer nights. Worn alone, it gives that fresh-red look to your lips which make you think about bitten apples, Snow white or polynesian girls. It really catches the beauty of hibiscus. Gorgeous lipstick for day look and beachy days but also great at nights. Definetely a wearable lipstick for every skin tone and ages. Would repurchase it if it wasn't limited edition.

Misc Beauty Tools -Unlisted Brand - Plus White - 5 Minute Speed Whitening Gel
rated 5 of 5
Ultrapink 4/12/2011 4:00:00 PM

I was really skeptical in the beginning about this product 'cause I've used some other whiteners before and I didn't notice any change, but now nearly 2 weeks later I'm able to say I really feel this is an amazing stuff. It really works and I think specially with yellowish spots next to gums. I've been using this with trays twice a day and I'm starting using it every second day for the next two weeks. I think that would be enough to keep my teeth in this natural white. Note: do not expect your teeth to get as white as if you have a proffesional whitening, you won't get that fake white that everybody knows it's not natural.

Lip Treatments -Too Faced - Lip Insurance
rated 3 of 5
Ultrapink 4/6/2011 10:27:00 AM

Agree with not so good reviews in here but here is the trick: don't use it directly over your lips, instead of that, just pat it on them with your ring finger only a few touch ups and your lips will be ready to wear your gloss/lipstick. Anyway, it's smoothy but not yet moisturizing. It will dry your lips for sure, so there goes another trick: put a thin layer of your favourite lip balm first and wait a few minutes to pat on lip insurance. I personally use Elizabeth Arden's 8 hours specially on the inside line of my lower lip where I get skins and it works amazingly well. Won't repurchase however due to it's drying effect despite long lasting results.
