Treatments -Garnier - Clinical Overnight Dark Spot Peel
UTdaisy 3/25/2013 1:28:00 PM
I was skeptical when I got this product from BzzAgent - I am a die-hard fan of Retin-A and was certain that this would be a cheap imitation. Is it as effective as Retin-A? No. Is it a really nice overnight treatment product that's been working slowly on my skin without irritating it? Yes. I don't like the texture - it's really gummy and sticky, and it has a weird smell. I do, however, like that I can see the pores on and around my nose getting smaller and clearer, and that the texture of the skin on my forehead and cheeks is noticeably smoother. It's nice to have a product that works well without skin irritation. I will definitely buy this product again when my sample container runs out.

Lipstick -Physicians Formula - Happy Booster Glow and Mood Boosting Lipstick
UTdaisy 6/29/2012 9:30:00 PM
So very disappointed with this lipstick. The texture is thick and chalky (it looks like putting pure wax on my lips) and the scent/taste is terrible. Also, the cap is not flat inside, so when I tried to cap the lipstick without getting it on exactly correctly, it destroyed the top of the product. Thankfully, I got this for almost free with a coupon because it's really not worth the $10.99 sticker price. I've tried it a couple of times and ended up wiping it off immediately.

Lips -Revlon - Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain- Romantic
UTdaisy 6/11/2012 5:55:00 PM
Simply gorgeous! Bought this for $9 at a local drugstore and I think it's just as high quality as the Clinique Chubby Sticks, plus I don't have to go to a department store. The packaging for Romantic looks pinkish, but the swatch on the display was more red, so I grabbed it hoping it would be a nice red color, since that's my comfort zone for lipsticks. It's a gorgeous brick-red, more of a brown-yellow (no blue at all) and I totally love it. It starts off with a nice minty flavor and has a nice moisturizing feel. What can I say? I'm now totally obsessed with these and really want a nude one for when I wear more eye makeup.

Lip Gloss -Physicians Formula - Plump Potion - Nude Potion
UTdaisy 6/9/2012 7:15:00 PM
Totally gross! The scent is disgusting, the gloss is gloppy and sticky and there's no plumping effect. Given my string of successes with PF products, I was extremely disappointed with this one. I would absolutely not buy it again nor recommend it to a friend.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Bare Naturale Mascara - Blackest Black
UTdaisy 4/24/2012 5:13:00 PM
My mom picked this up with a coupon and gave it to me, as normally I would not buy mascaras with "natural" in the name. I have puny, blonde lashes and need something with "lengthening" or "plumping" and this mascara reminded me why - it added some darkness, but no length of volume. In fact, it was so disappointing that I threw it out after a few days because I disliked it so much. If you're looking for something very natural, this may be a great buy for you. If you're looking for mascara with some oomph, steer clear.

Polishes -China Glaze - Dorothy Who?
UTdaisy 4/17/2012 2:37:00 PM
I mean, really? Electric blue polish with electric blue glitter? What could be cooler than that?! This is a shade I really like and I feel is very unique. It's a super-fun color for summer toes and if you don't have it, I'd urge you to give it a try. It seems to be pretty easy to find at Sally's and they often have a sale on China Glaze, which makes these inexpensive polishes even more reasonably priced.

Polishes -China Glaze - Lubu Heels
UTdaisy 4/17/2012 2:28:00 PM
Totally gorgeous and vampy color - the black base with red glitter is really unusual and fun. I think that the thin polish makes this glitter polish a little easier to take off than the other glittery China Glaze shades. This is one that every nail polish lover should have in their collection!

Cleansers -Philosophy - Purity Made Simple (Real Purity Cleanser)
UTdaisy 4/17/2012 2:27:00 PM
It seems I'm always getting samples of this product....with my Clarisonic, in GWP bags from Nordstrom, from Sephora advisors....I usually throw them into my travel bag and never end up using them, but I gave the large sample that came with my Clarisonic a try. I do like the way that this removes my makeup so thoroughly, but I don't feel like it's cleansing enough for my combo/oily skin, as I'd wake up in the morning with very oily skin. It's a nice, mild, soothing cleanser, but it's not the one for me.

Polishes -China Glaze - For Audrey
UTdaisy 4/17/2012 2:27:00 PM
The perfect Tiffany-box blue, named for Audrey Hepburn's role in Breakfast with Tiffany's. It's a little thick and creamy looking for me to really like it on my hands, but it's a nice summery color for my toes and I wear it often.

Liquid -L'Oreal - True Match Super-Blendable Makeup SPF 17
UTdaisy 4/17/2012 2:26:00 PM
Although I prefer foundation in a pump (which is why I marked packaging quality low), this is a great product and is often available for less than $7 a bottle with coupons/sales. I love the warm/neutral/cool available in each of the shades, so I can pick a warmer shade for summer without having to get a darker one (important for me, since I have such fair skin). This is a great low-cost drugstore foundation available in so many shades that I think there would be one that would work for most people.

Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - EXTRA VIRGIN Coconut Oil (All brands)
UTdaisy 4/17/2012 2:01:00 PM
Coconut Oil is awesome for body, hair and baby bums! I love to put it on my face at night, even though I have oily skin - it makes it super smooth by the morning and doesn't clog my pores. About baby bums: coconut oil can be used as a diaper cream that's safe for use with cloth diapers, plus since I always have some on hand, it's very convenient. My hair is too oily to use this on the roots, but I like to use it around my face to smooth down flyaways or on the ends to control frizz when it's humid.

Lip Treatments -Maybelline - Baby Lips lip balm
UTdaisy 4/17/2012 1:14:00 PM
Although this product was inexpensive, I still felt like it was overpriced for what I got. There was very little color, the moisture wasn't great....I'd rather have a Chapstick instead of this lip balm.

Polishes -China Glaze - Ruby Pumps
UTdaisy 4/17/2012 1:12:00 PM
Beautiful color - I agree with the reviewer who said that two coats were enough, but three gives it beautiful depth. It's a little bit of a pain to get off because of the glitter, but totally worth it for how pretty this polish is. Love it when Sally's puts China Glaze on sale, as it makes them super-inexpensive. A must-have for hands and toes.

Eye Primer -Fyrinnae - Pixie Epoxy
UTdaisy 4/17/2012 10:44:00 AM
Pixie Epoxy works so well for adhering sparkly and glittery eyeshadows. You do have to follow Fyrinnae's instructions to pat eyeshadows on top of this - if you brush them on in the normal manner, it makes a big sticky mess. I don't use this primer every day with every eyeshadow, but it's great with certain colors. I do wish that this came in a squeeze tube (I don't feel like the doe foot applicator is particularly hygienic, as you touch it to your face or hand in order to then pat it on the eyelids), but that doesn't keep me from reordering this. This tube lasts forever - I usually throw it away due to old age before it's actually empty.

Misc Beauty Tools -Clarisonic - Mia2
UTdaisy 4/17/2012 10:40:00 AM
Love, love, love the Mia2! I got this as a Christmas gift and have been using it religiously for about four months now. I have seen a definite improvement in the clogged pores on my chin and nose, as well as smoother skin on my cheeks. I'm really glad to have the timer feature on this brush and although I marked that I would buy this again, I think that if this one ever gives up, I'd purchase the pro edition - since the face brush does such a great job, I'd love to have the body brush to use all over. A cleaning tip...if you have an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner, throw the heads in there to get them extra-clean.
