Powder -Cover FX - Powder FX Mineral Powder Foundation

great color selection and coverage but it broke me out terribly and did not control oil at all. very disappointed from a skin friendly brand.
Voluminous has been my staple for yrs so decided to check this one out. It is the same formula as the original but with a separating brush and a thicker gold packaging. This product would be great for those who felt the original was too clumpy. And the tube does a great job at removing excess mascara from the wand. I personally don't need length, just volume and like to have my lashes as thick as possible so I prefer the original. Price is a little higher (around $3-4) than the original.
Amazing pigmentation!! Its hard to believe this stuff was only a dollar and some change. Don't care for the screw top though. texture is soft, easy to blend.
I went to MAC to pick up my 4857th bottle of studio fix fluid and my usual SA asked if I had tried matchmaster. I said no since I thought foundations that that "adjust to your skintone" were all gimmicks but he insisted that I give it a try since "its like SFF but with a better finish, especially if youre oily". It gives less coverage than studio fix fluid but I like the natural finish of this better and the liquid really does adjust to your skin tone! it came out orange but once i started blending it, I could see the foundation turning lighter into my skintone. I also like that it already contains a pump unlike SFF and also contains the same SPF. it lasts just as long as SFF, maybe even longer since I dont get oily as fast and it doesnt break me out. I have found my everyday foundation :) Im a NC40 and my match was 5 UPDATE: this stuff oxidizes, will be returning to my studio fix fluid.
cute bottle but what a boring scent. similar to pink sugar.
Lip Treatments -Maybelline - Baby Lips in Cherry Me
UDMAC 9/14/2012 4:48:00 PM
These baby lips don't really moisturize but the colored ones are pretty nice if you're looking for a simple tinted lip balm with SPF. Cherry me gives the I just ate a Popsicle look.Im not a big cherry fan but I cant stop smelling this, it smells like sweet tarts! cute flimsy plastic packaging. Thin texture with a bit of a glossy finish
Lip Treatments -Maybelline - Baby Lips lip balm in Pink Punch
UDMAC 9/12/2012 9:10:00 PM
Ive heard so many raves about this product and couldnt get my hands on it bc It was always sold out at my local drugstore.I'm pleasantly suprised by the pigmentation of this product. It gives a blue pink tint that lightly tints your lips even after it wears off. It has a slick glossy finish, and smells like fruit punch. Texture is thin and slick. Not really moisturing and you need to reapply often. Super cheap and it comes in a cute packaging but it's flimsy and cracks easily. Contains SPF 15. This isn't worth repurchasing for me but would be a good cheap lip balm for the beach since it contains SPF and gives you a little tint or to give to your daughter who doesn't wear much makeup.
NC 35-NC42. this is my go to my lids but better es. I have gone through 3 pots of this, I have been using this everyday since my first pot. Its a yellow brown with subtle shimmer, satin finish, great pigmentation and texture.I use this on my lids, crease, and lower lid. If you like cork this is similar but lighter and satin
I'm a long time user of MAC's studio fix fluid and was very excited for this to come out since I have very oily skin and am always looking for the next best foundation that will last on my skin. however, It has a matte almost tacky finish and although it's marketed as prolong wear, for some reason it doesn't last as long asSFF. The biggest issue I have with this foundation is that the longer I wear it, the blotchier I get, which doesn't happen with SFF. It also has a lower SPF and is a little pricier. I've tried this foundation twice in 2 diff shades (SFF can break me out depending on the shade...), both times, I was left disappointed. The coverage however is med-full like SFF. If you have normal skin, this would be a good full coverage foundation for nights out. Also, this line runs a little darker than SFF. I do like that this stuff comes with a pump that locks (like their fix +) which is probably why it costs more than the SFF which doesn't.
Eyeliner -L'Oreal - Infallible Never Fail Eyeliner-Carbon Black
UDMAC 8/29/2012 10:15:00 PM
Disappointed. Its not long lasting and it's not dark enough. I do like the packaging though, it comes with a silicone smudger and a sharpener. Its creamy and easy to apply so this would nice if you have normal-dry skin but a no for those with oily skin
Conditioner -Giovanni - 2Chic Brazillian Keratin & Argan Oil Ultra-Sleek
UDMAC 8/25/2012 7:30:00 AM
being a fan of their smooth as silk and tea tree line, I expected this product to be just as moisturizing/conditioning as their other products if not more. I have colored, thin, damaged dry hair and this was marketed for my hair type but I was very disappointed. This stuff is VERY lightweight, I ended up using up the tube in 2 weeks and I have mid-length hair. As for the price, i found mine for 7$. It comes in an opaque plastic tube with a flip cap, and it's easily available. Smells like nuts but the scent is very light and doesn't linger. I like that it's sulfate free but that's about it, will not repurchase.
Polishes -Wet 'n' Wild - Mega Last Under Your Spell 216A
UDMAC 7/6/2012 3:22:00 AM
great dupe for sephora by opi - "im with brad" but much thinner. as stated, it takes at least 2-3 coates for opacity. brush is easy to use, dries fairly quickly, lasting power is suprisingly good for a 2$ polish.
Makeup Brushes -MAC - #187 Duo Fiber Face Brush (Stippling, Skunk Brush)
UDMAC 7/4/2012 2:39:00 AM
this is ok, i prefer other brands for stippling brushes. my biggest rant would be that this brush sheds like craz- ive had it for years and it still sheds every single time i use it and i know how to take care of my brushes.
I liked their tea tree shampoo so I picked this one up since I have damaged thin hair. I was not disappointed, this stuff makes my hair so smooth that I can skip conditioners some days. It's moisturizing yet doesn't break my scalp out and doesn't weight my hair down either.it has a light citrus scent that doesn't linger. l also like that it's cheap, ecofriendly, easily available, and I have no problems with the packaging either.
Lips -Revlon - Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain- Cherish
UDMAC 6/20/2012 7:59:00 PM
I bought 2 of these balm stains and I'm not a big fan. They're not opaque enough to be the color of the balm and the stain is a lot darker/brighter than the original color. Once it starts to wear off and I reapply, my lips are a weird combination of a bright pink stain with a semi glossy blue pink coat on top. And the more i apply, the stain gets brighter and the discrepancy btw the color i just applied and the stain gets more obvious...The texture is ok, they don't do much in terms of moisturing the lips and texture wise, they're not waxy but they're not buttery smooth. They have a semi glossy finish, depending on how much you apply and the lasting power is ok. The scent is a very faint mint with a little bit of a cooling effect. I do like that's its an automatic chubby pencil and how the packaging matches the color inside although thats not how it turns out on my lips. If I pick another one up, I would only opt for the darker shades but I find them pricey (9$ here) for what they are. For reference, I'm an nc40 with semi pigmented lips.
