Crème -L'Oreal - True Match Super Blendable Compact Makeup
Twinks616 1/31/2011 5:20:00 PM
***NW15 does NOT match N2. It is noticable darker and much more orangy than the color I bought was. Shades aside, this product is terrible. It is so GREASY and beyond cakey on my already oily skin. Don't use this all over your face, I couldn't even use this as a concealer because it cakes up around the areas you put it and makes it look obvious when you're wearing it. My sister even asked me "Is your face okay? You look like your peeling over there." and pointed to an area where I used it earlier. This just didn't work for me. Maybe this could work for people who don't have oily skin. Today was the only day I wore it and it's starting to break me out already.

Highlighters -Stila - Illuminating Finishing Powder - Gold
Twinks616 1/31/2011 5:05:00 PM
I got this as a part of the Champagne Glow set that I bought for $14.00, mainly for Kitten eyeshadow that was included. Today when I picked it up, THE WHOLE TOP FELL OFF! (sorry for the caps) It completely separated from the bottom. Even though it is still intact, I take off major points for the packaging. The shimmer chunks are huge, making this simply unusable for your face. Even as a highlighter, it will shed all over your face by the end of the day. I might try to use it on the legs, shoulders, etc. during the summer so the sparkle doesn't look so OTT on my pale NW15 self, but as of now it is a pointless product.

Eye Shadow -NYX - Jumbo Eye Shadow Pencil - Yogurt
Twinks616 1/31/2011 4:22:00 PM
I use Yogurt for brightening up the inner corners of my eyes. It's perfect for that. It stays longer than a powder eyeshadow. However, it is the only place that I can safely put it without creasing. I still haven't figured out how to use it on my eyelid and in other looks without it creasing and ruining the whole look. The beautiful pink champagne color is a good alternitive to a stark white. I will use it until I finish it, but I will probably not be buying any of these until I solve the creasing problem.

Lip Gloss -Sally Hansen - Diamond 12 hr lip treatment
Twinks616 1/31/2011 4:11:00 PM
I got the color Princess during the CVS 75% off sale which retailed for $1.85. I believe they are a close dupe for Mac's lusterglasses (?) but can't compare the two personally. The problem is the brush. I love the concept of a brush applicator in lipgloss but the opening is too small and the brush gets frayed, hairs just stick out. The color of the gloss is nice, nothing unique about your average nude. It doesn't look like the orange-ish color in the tube and I layer it over lipsticks for the best results. It smells strongly on your lips of vanilla/synthetic sweetness, so those of you who are bothered by fragrance beware. It does stay on a longer than average of time, NOT the 12hrs it claims to, and can leave glitter residue on your lips. It's a good lipgloss, but I've tried better so I don't think I would purchase again.

Lipstick -Revlon - Color Burst Lipstick in 020 Baby Pink
Twinks616 1/31/2011 3:53:00 PM
I would rate this a 2.5 because I like the formula, but dislike the color so I bumped up the rating to a 3. I will not be buying Baby Pink again, but am ready to try another shade from the line. Pros... - The case is adorable and sturdy. It doesn't show fingerprints like other cases can. - The cap color is exactly like the lipstick in the tube. - Formula is smooth and feels good on my lips. - Scentless, unlike a majority of drugstore lipsticks Cons... It's mainly the color. It's called Baby Pink for a reason, it looks like a little girl's first lipcolor. Like Mac's Angel, I just don't think I can pull of this color. I hoped it would be the perfect pink lipstick but it was too light and way too frosty. The frost enhance the lines in your lips and fades to the corners and into the cracks then you wear this lipstick. However, with any nude lipgloss you can make Baby Pink a wearable soft pinkish nude instead of the original barbie-ish color.

Eye Shadow -Stila - Sajama
Twinks616 1/29/2011 3:36:00 PM
I purchased this eyeshadow when it was on the website on sale at the end of the year for $6.00. At first when it arrived, I was very unhappy with it and would have probably rated it a 3. It was a very blue toned -gray matte that I couldn't see myself using often, and could look dull in the wrong angle. The texture was nice and it was pigmented for a matte shadow. However, I recently saw this in a new light. I used it wet and it gave me the most beautiful, rich, intense color. It is softer than black for those light, daytime looks, but can also be built up and smudged for a smokey look too. If your unsure of getting this, get it! I can assure you that if you play around with it, you can get an amazing result.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Trio - On Cloud Nine
Twinks616 1/29/2011 3:26:00 PM
I got this for $1.50 at the Walgreens 50% off WnW sale. Like the other reviewer said, I didn't love the way these colors looked together. I am not a wearer of blues, but these looked too pretty to pass up. I really like all of them, but paired alone. I don't think that the light blue is a wearable highlight, (at least for me) but can be used to lighten or blend the darker blue. The darker blue is gorgeous! It is very multi-functional that can be wet and used as a liner, dusted into the outer corners, a crease, or as a lid color. My favorite part of the trio is the beautiful brown that was the driving force for me buying the trio. All of the shadows are so smooth and pigmented, but this shadow would make me purchase the whole trio again if I ran out.

Lipstick -Stila - Long wear Lip color Flushed
Twinks616 1/29/2011 2:48:00 PM
I bought Flushed and Coquette when they had a sale on their website at the end of the year, so I paid about $6.00 for them. I would certainly buy this product again, but the original price is a little steep. I think the packaging is good quality and very cute. It has a light vanilla scent that I think is great, not overpowering at all! Both shades are *very* similar, Flushed is only a tad darker and rosier than Coquette which is pinker on the lips. Both shades are true MLBB color that lives up to the long wearing claims. I will definitely be buying more of these!

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Single - Envy
Twinks616 12/10/2010 3:10:00 PM
The formula is great and buttery as usual and the color is stunning. I'm just not sure how I can pull off a green e/s in general. It's not the loudest or brightest green, but from a person who wears browns everyday it is a little tricky to wear. However, I did click that I would buy this product again because even though I probably won't, I would certainly recommend this to somebody who loves bolder looks.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Single - Kitten 257A
Twinks616 12/10/2010 3:03:00 PM
Kitten was a let-down because all of the other Color Icon shadows are so good. This is a bland, glittery mess with an undesirable gritty texture that hardly shows up on my super pale skin. I swatched this on my hand, ran my finger over it, and it looked like nothing was ever there to begin with.

Lip Gloss -Wet 'n' Wild - Mega Slicks Lip Gloss - Sun Glaze
Twinks616 12/10/2010 3:00:00 PM
This is just a nasty lip gloss. The texture is heavy and thick. When you try to spread it, it falls into the lines of your lips. The color is so frosty it looks like something right out of the 80s or something you'd use in a Snooki tutorial. This scared me off from buying any other Wet n' Wild lipglosses.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon #252B Nutty
Twinks616 12/10/2010 2:55:00 PM
I really liked this shadow, but I liked Brulee more. The pigmentation is great, the formula is smooth, but the problem is that sometimes the glitter is a little much. There's no terrible fallout or anything but if you tend to rub your eyes, just be a little careful. Another winner from the color icon collection. :) EDIT: I recently dropped this on and all of the powder shattered to bits. The packaging flew open and caused the mess. I am lowering the rating for the packaging quality, so just be careful with these.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Single in Brulee
Twinks616 12/10/2010 12:03:00 PM
I'll start off by saying everybody should have this in their stash. As cliched as that sounds, it's true. It is so buttery and smooth, everything and eyeshadow should be. It's just as good as my MAC shadows, maybe even better. I got this for .99 at at 50% off sale so I am beyond pleased. I don't have any complaints about the packaging. Mine opens easily (when I want it to, of course) and doesn't fly open if I drop it or move it. I seriously love this eyeshadow and hope Wet n' Wild makes more colors with this formula.

Lips -Wet 'n' Wild - Perfect Pair Lip Wand- Hanky-Pinky
Twinks616 12/10/2010 11:49:00 AM
I got this product in 121 or Nearly Nude. Let me get this across, it is NOT a nude, on me the lip liner is almost an orangey brown and the lip stick is a ton of frost packed into a tube. The end caps make it look like a dusty pink which it isn't either. It looks horrible, just disgusting on me. I have pigmented lips and really pale skin and it makes me look sick. All the frost from the lipstick seeps into the lines and when you try to blend it, it only gets worse. It is the perfect nude lip to the 80s party.

Mascara -Maybelline - Great Lash Mascara
Twinks616 10/19/2010 5:30:00 PM
Pros... Nothing really. You could argue that the price is a plus but I paid less for a tube of Voluminous which I like it a lot better. Cons... Oh where to start, - It gives the worst case of a raccoon eye I have ever experienced. - The brush is completely uneffective and hard to use. - It smells old or expired, maybe just plain old nasty. - The packaging is just ugly and is an eyesore to look at. - It made my eyes swell and tear up so badly people asked me if I was okay and if I needed to see an eye doctor. - It's the only mascara that does NOTHING (sorry for the caps) for my lashes. I mean nothing. No lenght, volume, definition, color, or anything. I will never buy this again or recommend this to anybody.
