Blush -Bare Escentuals - READY Blush

I got this in The Tease because it was exactly the color i was looking for and couldnt find. I do own quite a few blushes, even mac ones, but I think these ones from the ready line are superior. They go on like a dream, it looks like your face blushes like that, its very natural and pretty. Its not too powdery so you wont get it everywhere and because its such a buttery formula it blends effortlessly, in fact most days I dont feel like I need to blend it. Its also thr only blush that lasts me all day, 15h on oily skin and its still there just a little faded. I will pick up more of them as soon as i can!

Eyeliner -Rimmel - Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner in Nude
rated 5 of 5
TwiPixie 5/22/2013 6:23:00 AM

Lets start by saying that I own nars rue bonaparte and it doesnt hold a candle to this baby. I bought the rimmel one because the nars one is useless (and actually hurtful to use) and my white liners stay on for like an hour, so imagine my surprise when I get this and it doesnt tug at my waterline, one swipe already has color and it lasts me a good 6h. Another thing I enjoy its that its soft but it keeps a sharp point which is useful, especially for darker eyeliners. As for color I think its very vibrant yet subtle and it actually brightens more than white liners, maybe because of its undertone. Its the cheapest liner I have that actually works so Im getting backups!

Scrubs -Jason Natural Cosmetics - Apricot Scrubble
rated 5 of 5
TwiPixie 1/11/2013 6:54:00 PM

This changed my skin for so much better! I ran out of my usual scrub and I wanted to try something new and this was pretty much the cheapest scrub I could find so I gave it a try. The first thing you notice its the smell, it smells like apricots but its very fresh and light, very nice. Then I noticed its a lot grittier than my usual one, so I figured it would be more effective and despite what it looks, it's not harsh at all. It does not scratch the skin, it foams a little bit (as its also a face wash) and its actually gentle enough to be used everyday. I wouldnt do it because I believe thats a bit too much but the label sayd its okay. Right after I use it I dont feel anything different but then I apply my face cream and you can *see* it. The products apply better, you feel the skin so much softer and velvety and it looks bright and clean. It also helped with some minor acne issues, some very tiny (yet noticeable) pimples. Im going to stock up on this because it's a staple on my collection now!

Styling Products -TiGi - Candy Fixations - Glaze Haze
rated 4 of 5
TwiPixie 1/11/2013 6:40:00 PM

I bought this as part of a set along with totally baked and it was totally worth the money! Its supposed to make her shinnier and reduce drying time and help fighting humidity. Honestly I only use it to fight humidity since my hair looks really frizzy sometimes, and for that it's awesome! I dry my hair completly and then apply a pump and a half through the whole lenght of my hair, focusing on the the parts I know get frizzier. I would recommend using just a little and adding more if you need to and really distribute the product well. The hair does get instantly shinner and somewhat smoother but the smell, oh the smell... I could buy it just for the smell! Its heavenly! And it lasts until you wash your hair again which never happened to me before! The real deal is when you go out and your hair isn't frizzy. I still feel the humifity on my hair but it doesnt show, there is no frizziness, no wet/flat appearance... I'd repurchase this again as I'm really, really hoping this isn't a limited edition collection!

Tools -Urban Decay - Grind House (sharpener)
rated 5 of 5
TwiPixie 9/29/2012 7:17:00 AM

I didn't believe it was as good as people say but it is, oh boys, IT IS! I have a couple of eyeliners that either a) break when you try to sharpen them or b) don't ever, ever get a pointy tip. So I caved and got this. It does look every every other sharpener out there with a nice package. But it does work! Now all my pencils have sharp points, smooth surfaces, even Milani Liquif'Eye which always look dull.

Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst Mauve
rated 4 of 5
TwiPixie 8/6/2012 9:23:00 AM

My everyday lipstick! Revlon lipsticks are not yet available where I live so I ordered it online based on a feeling it would be a pretty color and I love it. It's a truly nice mauvy pink, not over the top and not too mute, it sounds cliché but its my lips but better - louder color and nicer looking. It's creamy and glossy, so I find it doesn't last ages however for the effect it gives I don't mind reapplying it.

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)
rated 5 of 5
TwiPixie 8/6/2012 9:20:00 AM

I want to start off by saying I had TFSI in the past and I hated it. The consistency was weird, the shadows didn't blend, it didn't make anything last longer and it made my eyelids super dry. So I had all hope for eye primers. I do use Mac Painterly but just to correct some veins. However since I have a lot of cheap eyeshadows that don't really show and I've been in love with Urban Decay I decided to give it a try. First of all I made sure it was in the new package - the old one looked like a lot of work for slightly less product. I really like the consistency of this versus the too faced one, the too faced one seems lumpy and oily and it dried my lids, the urban decay one is much creamier and as it goes on it leaves a product layer but it didn't dried my lids. As for eyeshadow application, it was tricky at first because I wasn't used to my eyeshadow looking THAT vibrant so I had to readjust but it's great because now the eyeshadow show up! Blending was okay, a little harder than with no primer but I think the result is also much prettier. It looks properly blended, not just one shadow on top of another. No creasing! At all! All day! I really apreciate that! I think that at the end of day eye primers are a matter of personal choice as much as mascaras but they can indeed work!

Cleansers -Yes To Carrots - Yes To Cucumbers Face Cleanser Towelettes
rated 1 of 5
TwiPixie 8/6/2012 9:02:00 AM

I wanted to try these for so long! I love Yes To lip butters so when I was shopping for holiday supplies so I picked these up so I didn't have to carry around 3 different makeup remover products. Big mistake. First of all, as soon as I got them I loved the package, it's very handy and I wish all my towelettes came with this package, it closes very well preventing them for drying. Honestely the package just got me more and more excited to actually try it. When I opened the package the smell was horrible. It made mw want to throw up, simple as that. People here rave about the smell so I thought I was being picky but everyone else I asked to smell it hated it, so I when back to sephora to ask if it was just a bad one. Ladies there smelled it, opened the newest package in the store, same smell. That was bad! But I tried to get past that, as hard it was. It smells like rotten...something, bad. When I actually put them to my face it was just okay. It was extra moist. It did NOT remove all residues which was very disappointing, it didn't do anything much - it was just one of those products you could use up and move on. However when I used it the next day it burnt my face, oh the burn! I had to wash my face right away and apply to heavy duty creams to calm my skin down, it was all red and burning! I never used it away but it left behind a kind of rash/pimple/weird thing right on my cheek and my face peeled off a little bit (which is great when you're on holiday and working on a tan --'). This cost me 6€ for 30 towelettes (I'll never use) and my local drugstore towelettes (which are so much more effective) are 2,5€ for 25 towelettes - so never again will I be replacing them.

Misc Beauty Tools -Japonesque - Power Curl Eyelash Curler
rated 5 of 5
TwiPixie 7/23/2012 9:44:00 AM

just in the last year I bought over half a douzen of eyelash curlers: elf, shiseido, revlon... you name it. either they didn't really do anything or they were too awkward to use, that's the thing about eyelash curlers, you cant test drive them first and 8 out of 10 times they don't 'fit' with your eye shape, I personally believe that they are as personal choice as mascaras, for example. My only sephora one was fine but its really old now. So I got this one online because of the good reviews (and the free pads for life) and it's great for me! First of all that thing mechanism that's usually on your cheek, the metal part, its facing the other way. Okay, it might not sound like much but somehow I always got mascara there or a mark and it was annoying as hell, so with this one, no cheek marks. Then the part the actually goes near your eye it's a little too tall for me, I have pretty 'deep' eyes, so it rubs on my brow bone but it's not the worst I've tried. With a little practise it doesn't bother. Now I was concerned because I couldn't get to the very base of my eyelashes, again deep eyes, but it really doesn't matter with this curler because this curls so well my eyelashes look they've multiplyed themselves and they stand up. I do like that no matter how I do it there is never that weird L curl that cheap curlers tend to do, its always a very defined yet round curve, looks almost natural, although my natural lashes point straight forward. The amazing thing for me is that it lasts. I used to curl my lashes and coat with mascara riiiiight away and still the curl would be gone by 10min. I tried the waterproof mascara trick, nothing. With this my curl stays on a lot longer, by the end of the day it still looks better than before. All and all this was the best beauty purchase of the year for me because I didn't even believe an eyelash curler could do so much.

Shampoo -L'Oreal - Loreal Professionnel Sensi Balance
rated 4 of 5
TwiPixie 7/14/2012 7:00:00 PM

Background on this purshase: a couple of weeks back my hair started to build up residue like crazy and making my scalp super ichy, after the quickest scan throught my local salon I picked this up (I really wanted the Neutrogena anti residue shampo but they don't sell this in my country). This is a clear shampoo, which means its supposed to lather and clean deeply. I was expecting a lot more deep cleaning and I had to rinse and repeat quite a lot. Now, the residue isn't all gone but most of it is. I did not consider this to be as cleansing as I hoped but my hair loved it! Usually transparent shampoo strip my hair and make it dry but this one feels soft, I'd say moisturized even. The smell is quite good, smells like a good perfume but it doesn't stay on my hair so I don't know if it really matters. Overall I really like it and I'd buy it again until my salon gets the vector force line.

Treatments (Eye) -Clinique - Repairwear- Intensive Eye Cream
rated 4 of 5
TwiPixie 7/9/2012 12:53:00 PM

I had no luck in the past with clinique eye creams but sephora gave a very generous sample size of this one and I really liked it! It's a cream, which I prefer over gels, and it's actually very moisturizing. I noticed that it really, really helped with these weird expresion marks I have on the outer corner of my eyes. They used to look very deep and red and the skin is smooth and not as red. I also noticed that when I stoped using it (because I ran out) and start using another eye cream my eyelids got so dry they flaked! So I'm guessing this was very good at keeping dry eyelids at bay. I don't buy into anything that claims to reduce dark circles, and this didn't, but it looks under concealer which all I'm asking for. I'm thinking of going for the full size.

Primer/ Corrector -Make Up For Ever - HD Microperfecting Primer
rated 5 of 5
TwiPixie 7/6/2012 9:20:00 PM

I have number #0 neutral and I love this but I hate it for being to expensive. I'm usually not a primer girl (with moisturizer and sun screen, daily, I with it's more than enough beneath my foundation) but this is so good. And it's not one of those primers that you think you see a ever so slight diference, this is for real. First of all it controls oils very nicely. I have a couple of foundations that make my face oily really fast so I use this underneath and it makes them look decent a lot longer. I'd love it just for that. However foundation glides so much better after you put this one, even those ones that dry very quickly seem easier to work with. And this makes look healthier, like I have brighter skin, not oily, bright. The packaging is also nice, it looks very professional.

Loose Powders -Make Up For Ever - HD High Definition Loose Powder
rated 4 of 5
TwiPixie 7/6/2012 9:11:00 PM

First of all, I said I'd buy it again but I don't know when because I have a jar for 3 years and not even half the product is gone. And I use it every day. Well, I should say that if I know I'm taking pictures I use less of it, or use any other powder because it does flash very poorly, even for me, pale as a ghost. But on every day basis is great. This ties all my make up together! It's makes my face look flawless with much less visible pores and it feels like silk, trying is believing because it's very hard to describe how dramatically it changes my make up for better. I think it does foundation and concealer stay in place and last a longer, but it's also very nice for when I overblush, or overbronzer, I take a kabuki with a little of HD powder and it makes the colors fade better, more naturaly. It does not control oils but it doesn't make me get oilier, neither did it break me out. I actually concealed some very nasty pimples with concealer + hd powder. The apearance after putting it on it's not matte, it's like skin, like real skin, which results in a very natural look.

Misc Beauty Tools -Make Up For Ever - Brush Cleanser
rated 5 of 5
TwiPixie 7/6/2012 8:53:00 PM

I just finished a bottle which made me realize I never made a review for this. I love it! I bought it at sephora (a huuuuge bottle for 12€) because the sephora brand brush cleanser did not work for me and MUFE is usually a hit. So, firstly I liked the price for the amount I got. The smell is indeed strong and you can tell just by it that it has alcohol which I actually quite like because that's the way to desinfect - alcohol. Also, the smell did not transfer to my brushes, at all. They didn't pick up any smell from this. What amazes me about it is that it makes my brushes dry so much quickly (again, the alcohol I guess)! I can totally tell when I use it and I hate waiting for brushes to dry so I always use it. If I'm in a rush I'll spray it on the brush, or on a piece of papel, and clean it that way, which works just fine for me but I'm big on deep cleaning so eight out of ten times I use it after deep cleaning the brushes. Mostly because, yes I use soap and all of that jazz but I want my brushes as desinfected of soaps and stuff as possible so I'd rather wash it and use this afterwards. The package never annoyed me, maybe it sprays a little to widely sometimes but still, it doesn't squirt out product, it really sprays. I'm off to buy another one because again, MUFE was a hit!

Hair -Unlisted Brand - Revlon Orofluido - Beauty Elixir
rated 5 of 5
TwiPixie 7/4/2012 5:34:00 PM

HG Hair Product! I bought this because over the summer my hair gets very dry and brittle, just very dull looking. So as this is market as an oil, and a good one, I gave it a try. Also it's much easily available and cheaper than MoroccanOil, and some reviews I read said it's even better. But to the point. This is indeed an oil, but it's consistent, not very fluid-y. When you put it on you feel like your hair is 'drinking' it rather than just sitting there which is great. It never, ever, made my hair greasy and I've used it both with dry and damp hair, I even used and then blow dry my hair which used to be a no-no because normal hair oils fry your hair. Not this one! It made my hair dry much faster and it settles nicer. It just looks healthier. It feel different too. My hair, no matter the amounts of conditioner or masks (which just make it greasy), never feels soft. Now it does, it feels so smooth and there are no knots what so ever. The smell is not all that great in the bottle but once in tha hair it's actually pleasant. And it's not a strong smell, I actually only smell it when I move my head x) The only thing I hate about this is the packaging: it's glass and it has no pump. So first of all I'm always terrified it's going to slip out of my hands but let's get real that bottle sits in my bathroom and it gets wet there, things fall! And the no pump was very annoying at first because I didn't know how much was too much, it doesn't bother me as much now but it would be nice. I'd rather keep buying this and spend a bunch of money in multiple products :)
