Concealers -Unlisted Brand - RMS Beauty 'Un Cover-Up

This stuff is awful. Completely overpriced, considering the basic ingredients used. No doubt everything in it is good for your skin, but based on functionality, it's awful. Firstly, it smells like paint. It goes on heavy and greasy, and when used under the eyes, it gives it a dull obvious and cakey look. When attempted to use as light foundation, it smears over the face like grease, probably because of the numerous oils in it. The packaging is too fancy and unhygienic, as you have to dip your fingers in it all the time. I can't believe I spent 28 quid on some fancy overhyped natural junk. Someone PM me if they wish to purchase this from me to try this out for themselves!

Masks -DDF - Sulfur Therapeutic Mask [DISCONTINUED]
Tsuginami 2/13/2012 5:52:00 PM
I've used up the whole tub. Firstly, I find it very expensive for the amount given. It didn't provide that many usages either. When it arrived, I was surprised at how small it was, for 25 quid. It did nothing for my skin. I even tried using it as an overnight spot treatment, and my zits were exactly the same the next morning. What a waste of money. I suggest using manuka honey as an anti acne mask, does the job, all natural and doesn't break the bank. I hate DDF sulphur mask.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Renew 100% Organic Rosehip Oil
Tsuginami 1/18/2012 3:34:00 PM
I jumped on the rosehip oil bandwagon after hearing numerous reports on how good it is for anti-aging. I started using it in the UK during wintertime, and it felt too heavy and 'flat' on my skin. It smells like cooking oil. After using it for a month, I saw no difference in my skin. It looked the same as ever. I've resorted to using it on my dry hands instead, but I still really hate the smell. My quest for natural oils continues....

Treatments -La Roche Posay - Effaclar K

This was completely useless for me. It did absolutely nothing. I have oily, blemished skin, and this seem to make it greasier. I used the whole tube, hoping my skin would miraculously become better. But I still had blackheads and zits around my mouth. What a waste of money. Spend it on something else instead....not this.

Blush -BeneFit Cosmetics - Benetint

After using it for quite some time, I looked up the main ingredient CARMINE. Check out how it's made: "The insects are carefully brushed from the cacti... and placed into bags. The bags are taken to the production plant and there, the insects are then killed by immersion in hot water or by exposure to sunlight, steam or the heat of an oven. It is to be noted that the variance in appearance of commercial cochineal is caused by the different methods used during this process. It takes about 70,000 insects to make one pound (454 gm) of cochineal. The body of one coccineal is said to contain between 18-20% of carminic acid. The part of the insect that contains the most carmine is the abdomen that houses the fertilized eggs of the coccineal. Once dried, a process begins whereby the abdomens and fertilized eggs are separated from the rest of the anatomical parts. These are then ground into a powder and cooked at temperatures in excess of 212? F (100? C) to extract the maximum amount of color. This cooked solution is filtered and through special processes that cause all carmine particles to precipitate to the bottom of the cooking container. The liquid is removed and the bottom of the container is left with pure carmine." SICK!

Concealers -Za - Concealer Perfection

I'm on my 2nd tube. Got this for just S$11 at a drugstore sale. It's very decent, slightly sheer, and not for people ith super dark eye circles. It's very creamy, glides on well, and has a little yellow in it. Brightens my eye area very well. I love the packaging, all i have to do is dot it straight from the tip, and just blend and pat. Never looking overdone or creasy. Amazing, for such a low price.

Primer/ Corrector -Yves Saint Laurent - Touche Eclat (Radiant Touch)
Tsuginami 1/28/2010 2:48:00 PM
I've been lemming to try this forever, after hearing all the hype. I finally got down to buying this in shade 2, since i have yellow undertones. Since i have obvious dark circles, i put on concealer, then pat this under my eye, on my eyelid, and the sides of my mouth. It doesn't do very much, doesn't really highlight, so I find this just another overrated product. I can do without it. Should have saved my cash.

Scrubs -Burt's Bees - Peach and Willowbark Deep Pore Scrub
Tsuginami 1/8/2010 2:49:00 PM
I bought this on ebay, as I wasn't prepared to pay full price for this without testing it out first. I'm glad I didn't pay full price. I find myself having to wash my face with cleanser again after using this, as it leaves a horrible waxy film on my face. The granules are big, and seem to be quite effective when I use a larger amount on my face. My skin feels softer, and maybe looks a little brighter, but nothing amazing. There seems to be more waxy emolient, compared to granules. So I ended using up the whole tube within a month, while scrubbing my face twice a week. Overall, I think St Ives does a better job at clearing up oily skin, and it lasts much longer.

Treatments -Burt's Bees - Herbal Blemish Stick

Ok, let me make this short. PROS: - makes my zits come to a head overnight - dries up existing zits within 3 days - can be applied throughout the day without drying out the skin, like benzol peroxide does to me CONS: - the heavy smell was a shock at first, but I got used to it - the roller ball applicator can act a little funny sometimes, causing a whole lot to flow out, and when it flows down my face it STINGS my non-acne parts, like my lips, THUS - causing the stuff to run out within a month So I think the creators should re-examine the design of the applicator, make it more fool-proof. Other than that, nice natural little zit-biter.

Skincare - Face -Evian - le Brumisateur
Tsuginami 1/8/2010 2:29:00 PM
This is great stuff. I use it first thing in the morning after washing and drying my face. It allows my moisturizer to sink it better. After makeup application, I spray this on to set my face. It counter-attacks the dryness my freshly made-up face makes. Since I live in a hot and humid country, my face gets oily pretty quickly. So when I'm outside, I like to spritz this on my face, and let it dry naturally. It always freshens me up and makes me smile.

Masks -Queen Helene - Mint Julep Masque
Tsuginami 1/8/2010 2:20:00 PM
This is a great no-frills affordable drug store mask for oily skin like mine. It sits nicely, stings a little, but I love the feeling. Has a great minty zing, and smell. It also seems to give it a nice glow after I wash it off. However, it seems to draw out any impurities I have in my pores. So sometimes, if I'm unlucky, I can wake up to 2 tiny new zits on my face, especially on my pimple-prone chin. Overall, a satisfying mask.

Moisturizers -Eucerin - Dermo Purifier Cream Gel
Tsuginami 1/8/2010 2:02:00 PM
I have oily skin that gets oily within the first 2 hours after washing. I was looking for a good oil-free, lightweight moisturizer that's frangrance free. After using this for a month, I can say it doesn't break me out, and seems to control oil only very slightly. It leaves a semi-matte finish after application. However, it can feel a little heavy sometimes. To beat this, I spray my face with evian water, wait awhile, then apply a tiny amount. This makes it absorb much better. A tiny amount is needed to cover the whole face. Avoid putting too much on, as it can feel heavy. Overall, very affordable, and can last a long time.
